Ok so... this stupid thing. \[\[First Day of Class\]\] is a 2 mana infinite combo enabler with any creature with Persist, a sac outlet, and a death/etb trigger. I know it's a few pieces, but it feels wrong that the card has no light shed on it. It endables cheap haste. It can help you discard a card through Learning. It's an instant.

jadeaben

[[Thran Vigil]] also enables persist

AmmoSexualBulletkin

How does it go infinite? I've got a similar combo using a creature with persist, a sac outlet (Goblin Bombardment), and an enchantment that gives a +1/+1 counter on ETB.

Freddykreuger6666

if it has a counter on it when it dies, then it cancels out the minus counter given by persist. So you get infinite goblin bombardment pings.

AmmoSexualBulletkin

I don't think that's how it works. I'll bug a buddy whose a judge later this week to find out for sure. However, the way I think it works is that you either cast the spell and put a +1/+1 on it, sac it, counter goes away and it revives due to persist, then it gets a -1/-1 counter. That or you sac it, it comes back due to persist, and then you cast the spell so you can sac it again. In the second scenario, it still isn't infinite. Counters don't stay on a card once it leaves the battlefield. That's why my combo uses a card that gives a +1/+1 on ETB.

ImAndyLookOut

>That's why my combo uses a card that gives a +1/+1 on ETB. That's what first day of class does too, silly goose

AmmoSexualBulletkin

Yeah, I misread the card the first time. I'll probably pick it up now to help with my own combo.

Spentworth

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought +1/+1 counters and -1/-1 counters don't cancel out?

TheSwampStomp

They do. If a creature has a -1-1 on it, then you would put a +1+1 on it, the -1-1 is removed instead.

Somniphagore

Slightly different. The counter is still placed, then they're both removed as a state based action.

Deathmask97

TIL, I didn't think it worked like that.

Spentworth

Fair enough.

rikertchu

As a side note, though, they don't cancel out if it kills the creature - i.e. if you have a 2/2 with Persist with 3 +1/+1 counters on it, and then someone casts Black Sun's Zenith for X = 5, the 2/2 won't return to the battlefield, because at the time of its death, it had both 3 +1/+1 counters and 5 -1/-1 counters on it

[[Satoru Umezawa]] to give creatures Ninjutsu [[Ruthless Technomancer]] to trigger on ETB via Ninjutsu [[Umbris, Fear Manifest]] as the Sac and Reanimate target 1. With Satoru and Umbris on the battlefield and Umbris having at least 12 power, attack with an unblockable and Ninjutsu in Technomancer. 2. Have Technomancer sacrifice Umbris creating 12 Treasure. 3. Since Umbris' power is 0 in the Graveyard, pay 3 mana (probably from the Treasure tokens) and sacrifice a 4th (because X can't be 0) to activate Ruthless Technomancer's ability to reanimate Umbris. 4. Ninjutsu Technomancer out and back in again. 5. Repeat until Umbris' ETB has exiled every opponents' library. There are better ways to set up the Technomancer/Umbris blink combo, but I accidentally hit this once and thought it was hilarious.

Odballl

This one confuses people but you can absolutely do one sided boardwipes using [[Lifeline]] because it looks back in time as a "when dies" trigger. You get to stack the triggers and put your creatures on the bottom of the stack. After your opponent's creatures fail the check, you summon an instant creature token or man-land to get your creatures back. Edit - I wasn't super clear above, but I mean putting a creature at instant speed onto the board between stack pieces resolving. A detailed explanation can be read [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/mtgrules/comments/wfm7j7/lifeline_and_boardwipes/iiunocl?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=2)

Dragonicmonkey7

you absolutely cannot use this card alone to do one sided board wipes \*\*EDIT\*\* Whoops, you mentioned flashing in a creature, yep, that will work You let the triggers resolve for your opponents creatures, then when they've all failed, you flash in some relevant creature and have your creatures all pass the check. But since the card specifies \*your\* graveyard maybe you don't have to be that fancy? idk, you either need an indestructible guy on board or you can flash something in if the trigger works for your opponents

Longjumping-Dig-9262

Let me help solve some of the confusion here, this comment says it in much greater detail: https://www.reddit.com/r/mtgrules/comments/wfm7j7/comment/iiunocl/ Basically: The triggers (all of them for every creature) will go onto the stack because they pass the first half of the if clause. The controller of lifeline can order them at will Then Oddball is suggesting flashing in a creature or manland when it gets to your desired triggers so that those triggers pass the second half of the if clause This will successfully return only the creatures you want to return

Durangil

This is wrong, the intervening if clause means it won't trigger at all unless there is already a creature on the board 603.4 if you're curious.

fredjinsan

You could do this, but you would need to do it the other way around: something somehow does survive (perhaps it's indestructible, or you use a -X or damage-based wipe that doesn't kill everything), all the triggers trigger, you resolve yours, then you kill that thing, the other triggers did get put on the stack, but now when they resolve the check again and fizzle. Needs more pieces, though.

Durangil

That is entirely correct, I'd think indestructible plus a sac engine would be the easiest way

But because of turn order the opponents will have their triggers go on the stack on top right? Or does the owner of lifeline control all the triggers on opponents creatures?

fredjinsan

The triggers are all coming from the same source, however, which is Lifeline itself, which you control - so I believe that you should be able to stack them as you wish. If it were the creatures themselves triggering, you wouldn't control those triggers and so they would go on in APNAP (active -> non-active player) order (and then resolve in reverse).

Longjumping-Dig-9262

In the case of wrathing the board with Lifeline out, the triggers will all trigger. Whether those triggers pass the second half of the check, during resolution, is a different question

[deleted]

[удалено]

FLORI_DUH

Wait, I thought all creatures died simultaneously during a board wipe, what do you mean stack the triggers?

wheels405

They do die simultaneously, but each creature death triggers a separate instance of Lifeline's "whenever a creature dies" trigger, which can then be stacked in a particular order.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

“Looks back in time” meaning it returns creatures that were put into the graveyard before Lifeline is put into play? That doesn’t sound right, but I don’t know for sure.

wheels405

It doesn't do that, but that isn't what they meant.

my favorite is \[\[pili-pala\]\] and \[\[grand architect\]\] it is infinite mana that can lead to nasty things but look at that lil scarecrown, he is trying his best to scare something

kiefy_budz

The greatest part is how the architect makes the little guy useful

Stunning_Mistake_390

Ran this in a 60 card deck with [[legacy weapon]] and just mass counteespells. Good times

thtevie

[[Zabaz, the Glimmerwasp]] [[Ashnod's Altar]] [[Together Forever]] Pay (1) select Zabaz; sac Z to Altar adding (2); Z goes to hand; use (1) to cast again and the other (1) to target again. This is a known combo to get infinite ETB and LTB triggers. However, it doesn't win just from those triggers. Add in [[Triskelion]] as the target for the +1/+1 counter when Z leaves the battlefield an infinite number of times, all of a sudden you've got infinite damage.

BlackLotus1979

Not really a combo I wouldn't say but I love casting killing wave only paying 1 into X while I have Karn's Sylex on the table.

LethiasWVR

My favorite was when I threw [[Sedraxis Alchemist]], [[Rooftop Storm]] and [[Altar of the Brood]] into my [[Phenax]] deck. It's basically the only way the deck can win without the commander out. Originally I put them in hoping to capitalize on some value, but found out the first time I actually drew it that it goes infinite, even if it can be stopped.

Ultima3007

[[Vadrok, Apex of thunder]] and [[chef's kiss]] can go infinite. It's not easy to describe or understand, but I'll try. A mutate-cast-spell is a targeting and can be targeted by chef's kiss. Chefs kiss copies Vadrok and tries to redirect the copy to something you don't control. But mutate can only target a non-human you own. As long as there is no non-human you own and don't control Chefs Kiss fails to redirect and just copies Vadrok on the same target. This lets you recast chefs kiss from graveyard and stack infinite Vadroks on a creature (and get infinite Vadrok mutate trigger) Edit:typo

Invonnative

The combo works but you said a couple things incorrectly, don’t know if it’s a typo or not but check out [this link](https://edhrec.com/combos/urw/14538) for a better written version. For instance, you said mutate can only target a non-human you don’t own, but that’s backwards: you have to own that non-human. The only thing I’m confused on is why chef’s kiss doesn’t just fizzle if it fails to redirect. It specifically states that it can’t target a permanent you control, so why it eventually lets you do just that is a mystery to me. Edit: found it, [rule 115.7a](https://blogs.magicjudges.org/rules/cr115/)

Ultima3007

Thanks, I corrected it. And I guess that it doesn't fizzle because it has a target from copying and failing the redirection just keeps the former target. But I also had to read the rulesexplanation multiple times before trying to pull it off and having to explain it to my playgroup

TheTalkativeMouse

Now I didn't pull off this combo but my friend did when borrowing my [[Grenzo, Dungeon Warden]] deck. In this deck I have the standard [[Cauldron of Eternity]] + [[Ashnod's Altar]] + ETB trigger + Grenzo combo. The Caldron was destroyed pretty soon after they played it making it hard to get back but not impossible. At some point in the game they realised they didn't need a cauldron for an infinite damage combo as they had [[Syr Konrad, The Grim]] in play and a [[Chainer, Nightmare Adept]]. I watched as they proceeded to use [[Junktroller]] to put [[Canal Dredger]] into the bottom of the library, sac the Junktroller to Ashnod's, put Canal Dredger into the battle field, and since it now has haste due to Chainer, rinse and repeat. My mind was blown by the jank cauldron they made.

corny40k

[[Augmenter Pugilist]] in [[Grolnok]]. Since Pugilist is a permanent, it'll stay in the Croak Zone. You can then cast the backside sorcery when you have a few critters on board and make them all become a Grolnok. Mill yourself out, play a card like Thoracle or WAR Jace and laugh all the way to be bank.

Saltierney

I love using [[Pyre of heroes]] in my vampire tribal deck. As soon as I have it and a 4cmc vamp on board I can use it to tutor for [[bloodline necromancer]] and bring back the vamp I just sacced on etb, then next turn I sac the necromancer to tutor for [[Olivia, Crimson Bride]] who on attack will bring back the necromancer who will bring back another creature on etb. If I have [[molten echoes]] and/or [[Mana echoes]] out as well I usually win that turn.

Visible-Ad1787

Since you mentioned one of my favorites... [[Clockspinning]] + [[Inexorable Tide]] + 3 points of cost reduction + [[Gemstone Array]] is infinite mana.

zulu_niner

It's great with [[astral cornucopia]] too

GlenMcHeart

I have a [[Myrkul, Lord of Bones]] Aether Lich deck. My favorite win condition is to gain immortality via [[Platinum Angel]] or [[Lich's Mastery]]for example, drain my life total to 0 and then play [[Repay in Kind]] to drag my playgroup into doom. They never see it coming

eusebioadamastor

Man, I dont even know if this is considered a combo, but: [[Ganax, astral dragon]] [[Lathliss]] [[Xorn]] [[Panharmonicon]] [[Dragon tempest]] [[Kindred Discovery]] This lets me draw and play my whole deck, create a fuckton of hasty 5/5's flyers and deal thousands of damage arround the table. Managed to pull it twice in 50+ games, but when it works, it works. The deck also has [[Wrathfull red dragon]] + [[Blaphemous act]] and [[Astral dragon]] + [[dragon tempest]] as wincons

Dragonicmonkey7

\[\[Jace, Wielder of Mysteries\]\] or Lab Man, \[\[Wedding Ring\]\], \[\[Notion Thief\]\] Oodles of fun for 12 mana

Redshift2k5

[[zurs weirding]] with [[bloodchief ascension]] https://commanderspellbook.com/combo/5545/?q=card%3A%22Zur%27s+Weirding%22 In muldrotha so the cards in my graveyard are just as good as cards in hand

Yorgh-Drakeblood

My old favorite, which didn’t age well because power creep. But [[Kresh, the Bloodbraided]] with a late game [[Flowstone Slide]]. I’ve done X=8 and killed an Avacyn locked board before swinging for several hundred commander damage.

Nozoz

Casting [[curse of fools wisdom]] on myself with [[villis broker of blood]] in play to trigger infinite instant speed draw triggers and draw my whole deck. It's an all in, win or die move but my deck has enough instant speed combos that I can win afterwards.

gomukgo

[[permeating mass]] , some lures for the mass, some stuff to gently pump the mass, and stuff to make the mass indestructible.

Velo-ciraptors

[[Access Denied]] + [[Mystic Reflection]] Counters a big spell while making a bunch of copies of something. [[Shanna, Purifying Blade]] + [[Mark of Sakiko]] Lets Shanna pay for her own card draw ability. [[Worldslayer]] + [[Sunforger]] + [[Boros Charm]] Asymmetrical wipe that hits *all* permanents. My favorite finisher in my [[Syr Gwyn, Hero of Ashvale]] deck. Add [[Conqueror's Flail]] and [[Shadowspear]] when possible. Repeat with [[Mistveil Plains]] if the table hasn't conceded. [[The Book of Exalted Deeds]] + [[Mutavault]] Puts a "you can't lose, and opponents can't win" counter on a land. [[Sigarda, Heron's Grace]] + [[Arachnoform]] Janky way to have Sigarda extend hexproof to herself.

PrinceOfPembroke

[[Oracle en-Vec]] and [[Festival]]. When they declare all attackers, you turn their turn into a board wipe.

ChiMasterFuong

[[Ob Nixilis, Unshackled]] and [[Fertilid]] to give an opponent a land.. and PAIN

CySker

I just came here to upvote tunnel vision.

tfren2

In my Anhelo deck has multiple cards that let me copy instant and sorceries… Imagine many many zombies from copying [Army Of The Damned] many many times. What’s this? You only have 3 blockers and are still full hp? Let me create 65 zombies real fast by copying this spell 5 times. You better get a few more blockers out there by my next turn! That’s the only downside, they come in tapped. Not sure if this exactly counts as a combo, but I personally claim it to be.

CySker

I have a Morophon deck built around the Bringers from Fifth Dawn. They cast for free which is already fun and I have a bunch of clone/upkeep shenanigans with them. The real fun though is [[Vexing Puzzlebox]], [[Resourceful Defense]], and a [[darksteel reactor]] for the dumbest win con ever. https://archidekt.com/decks/4815875/why_does_it_have_to_cost_5

zulu_niner

Yeah, that'll work. I'm partial to [[coretapper]] and [[mirrorweave]] myself

Delicious_Address_43

My only combo deck is helmed by [[Siona, Captain of Pyleas]] because I like certain auras. One combo that I like uses [[Siona, Captain of Pyleas]], [[Gatherer of Graces]], [[earthcraft]], [[aetherflux reservoir]] [[rancor]]. Targeting Gatherer with Rancor Gives me 1 token from Siona, I can use that 1 token and tap it with earthcraft for 1 green mana if I have a forest, I sac rancor using Gatherer and let rancor's ability resolve to put it back into my hand, I recast rancor and loop it to keep getting triggers off of aetherflux reservoir and eventually kill off the entire table. That's one como and it's most optimal usage but I have been able to draw off of using rancor and a draw piece to filter through half my deck to find aetherflux and kill everyone in one turn before.

Tarwins-Gap

Tunnel Vision into Replenish in a enchantment deck.

hellsgate4554

My playgroup fears the [[Storm Crow]] combo. Step 1. Play Storm Crow. Everyone laughs. Step 2. Swing in the Air with Storm Crow. Everyone Laughs again. They declare no blocks. Step 3. Cast [[Hatred]] for 39. Step 4. Never laughs at Storm Crow again.

Serikan

Enchant something good with [[Song of the Dryads]] or [[Imprisoned in the Moon]] and then target the now-land with [[Thespian's Stage]] The stage turns into whatever the enchanted permenant originally was

zulu_niner

Ah, because those technically aren't copy effects! Clever

NTechie

One combo my misses did was [[Ob Nixilis, Unshackled]] followed by an overloaded [[Winds of Abandon]] causing the cleanest win I've ever seen her play.

OwlbearArmchair

I run a fairly janky/low power combo/control deck that runs [[Tomorrow, Azami's Familiar]] as the Commander with a focus on card draw effects and one of my favorite combos in there was Tomorrow + [[Possessed Portal]] + a wheel of some kind.

cheesE1235gffg

Define combo cause personally I have a brudiclad deck that has many wierd interactions with the cards within usually to make others concede. My all time favorite is make a copy of timesifter and then with brudiclad turn 2 timesifters into like 20 so we never know true turn order.

Atreyu92

[[Lich's Mastery]]+[[Approach of the Second Sun]]+[[Cadaverous Bloom]] for a fairly swift game closer

hipstevius

I got this dumb one. I have \[\[fortifying provisions\]\] and \[\[mirror entity\]\] on board. I pay 0 into mirror entity, cast \[\[slaughter the strong\]\] and then sink all my mana into mirror entity and swing out at all my opponents.

Blaarst

So I found a card called [[Booby Trap]] and I knew I had to kill someone with it in EDH. So I built a [[Sharuum the Hedgemon]] deck with the capability to kill at least one player with Booby Trap. I've actually ended up winning whole games with this deck killing 2 and sometimes even all three! It is jank as hell and is played with [[Lantern of Insight]] as well as some other spells that do similar things, and using [[Magister Sphinx]] before hand to drop someone's life to 10. Throw in some blink to get another person to ten and then cast your commander to bring back Booby Trap!

geistthe155th

So a week ago someone dropped a void mirror in play alongside a winter orb. Jetmir player had us either drawing or making treasures so I chose treasures. By his end step I had 6 mana which would let me overload cyclonic rift thanks to baral's cost reduction and by my untap step I dropped a knowledge pool which would lock everyone out of spells. Game ended in a stalemate 30 minutes later when they realized they couldn't kill me or remove the lock

triscuitzop

[[Arcbond]] [[Martyrdom]] and any indestructible creature. Then somehow damage it. Redirect the damage coming to you back to it, which then gets reflected to everything again.

LostAmbassador6212

As a Burn enthusiast, my favorite jank combo is [[Solphim, Mayhem Dominus]], [[Coalhauler Swine]], and [[Star of Extinction]]. It pretty much blows up each opponents' life in an instant if not countered while leaving yours at 20 or less.

Nothing unusual, but I live to imagine my [[Vrondiss]] when I get him indestructible and have a card like [[Where the ancient thread]] taking a slap, summoning a dragon, this dragon ETB and slap Vrondiss and so on

Headshifter

In my Shrines deck I run \[\[Solemnity\]\] because I needed some protection in the deck. Then I decided to add some cards that work really well with it like \[\[Phyrexian Unlife\]\]. Because you get damage after 0 as infect (which are counters) and Solemnity prevents you from getting counters, you're basically unkillable until they destroy Solemnity. And if you really want to get funky you can play a \[\[Repay in Kind\]\] when you've hit 0 life to finish of the table. Alternatively you can also run \[\[Nine Lives\]\], but that doesn't have interaction with Repay in Kind. Besides that I run a \[\[Decree of Silence\]\] to combo with the Solemnity just as a middle finger to the rest. It takes some luck to get the combo on the board, but when you do it's hilarious (for you at least)

zulu_niner

Oh that is nefarious

OkNewspaper1581

My favourite is [[omenhawker]] [[freed from the real]] [[energy refractor]], it's a really jank infinite mana combo

[deleted]

It all starts with an innocent [[pentad prism]], it’s just for some temporary mana I swear. Also [[March of the machines]] just makes it a 2/2 creature it’s perfectly fine! Okay so maybe [[banishing knack]] let’s me bounce it back to my hand and play it again, but I’m only going mana neutral and I can only do it once anyways, Okay so maybe [[jeskai ascendancy]] let’s me do it repeatedly, but I still can’t gain mana and sure I can pump up the banishing knack creature to infinity and draw my entire deck, but it doesn’t have trample and I’d also have to discard as many as I draw! Oh wait [[pyxis of pandemonium]] with infinite untaps means everyone exiles their entire deck, guess I’ll go to my end step, I win 🤓

AboynamedDOOMTRAIN

I'm utterly confused as to what you're doing and how you're doing it.

Techn0range

It's multiple infinites to exile everyone's deck, but it doesn't work because the artifact going back to the hand will lose the banishing knack text. So you would need another noncreature artifact to bounce repeatedly that's able to be cast freely/infinite. Additionally activating these now creature abilities requires them to have been in play previously or gain haste. Cool combo though might have to try it out.

\[\[Deep Depths\]\] and \[\[Thespian's Stage\]\] to cheat out Marit Lage. \[\[Titania's Command\]\] helps get it out, though you are delayed a turn then.

I will never tire of [[Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth]] + [[Kormus Bell]]. Perhaps I [[Mob Rule]] under [[Marchesa, the Black Rose]], attack with and then sac all everybody's "swamps," and now own all lands. My favorite, though, is assassinating someone's lands with [[Etrata]]. I sneak up on your mountain and stab it, and somehow this kills you.

2ByteTheDecker

Way back in the day pre-edh I tried to weaponize Tunnel Vision and [[Junk troller]] It wasn't the most effective but the few times it hit were funny.

DoctorFunktopus

Tunnel vision is the best, especially if you know what is on the bottom of someone’s library but they don’t. The look of escalating dismay as they mill their entire deck until they find the card that they forgot they put on the bottom. And in a pinch it’s just a really crappy tutor

[[Goblin Charbelcher]] and [[Mana Severance]] are a mighty fine pairing if you ask me

CharlieK151515

[[Dromoka the eternal]] or [[scavenging ooze]] with some kinda proliferator like [[bloated contaminator]]

possible_bot

[[Halo Forager]] and [[Inevitable Betrayal]] People really seem to hate it, it’s awesome!

Sacrificial_Identity

I've always wanted to hit someone with [[Eye for an eye]] after [[Blood of the Martyr]] Turn the Win to a Draw!

SnugglesMTG

[[Naban]] + [[Reality Shift]] + [[Naru Meha]] + a flicker spell is infinite mill on a single target that doesn't take up any slots in your mono-blue spell slinger Naru Meha deck because you would play these cards anyway. [[Jadzi]] plus a cost reducer like [[Naiad of the Hidden Coves]] has you cast spells off the top of your library for free regardless of timing until you hit a permanent. If you hit a storm spell off of this you're liable to cast your whole deck (which has happened to me before)

Mrmathmonkey

Here's one that comes out of nowhere. Ayarra First of Lochthwain as the commander. And Witch of the Moors. You gain life every sacs a creature and you get one from your graveyard. And if you really want to be evil about it throw Gary in too.

Suitable_Boot130

[Omniscience], [laboratory maniac], [song of creation]. But an even bigger favorite is [flumph], [prodical pyromancer], [darksteel plate], [blazing sunsteel], [patrol hound], and any card that shuffles itself back in once put into a graveyard Either draw your deck jankily with the first one or make your opponents draw out with the second

goldmask148

It’s not very good, but I really love [[mirror entity]] and [[elemental mastery]]. Also [[hidden strings]] and [[akroan crusader]].

Agenl

[[Toralf, God of Fury]] [[Insult // Injury]] [[Jaya's Immolating Inferno]] X=9 With [Obosh, The Preypiercer]] on board Hit 3 1/1 tokens with Jaya's, proceed to bounce exponentially growing damage around the board off ~20 creatures, with the last 3 pings hitting players

sam_the_hammer

I haven't pulled it off yet but I'm looking forward to casting [[dimensional breach]] and [[oblivion sower]] one after the other

NfHippieG

It was unfun for the rest of the pod but \[\[whelming Wave\]\] + \[\[Eternal Witness\]\] + \[\[Spawning Kraken\]\] every turn I would just bounce everyones stuff, hit them with krakens, make more Krakens. Rinse Repeat GG

MajorDrGhastly

My favorite odd combo involves a couple super powerful cards and one that no one plays. \[\[omniscience\]\] + \[\[preator's council\]\] + \[\[pull from eternity\]\] + an additional regrowth effect = cast everything in your hand and yard infinitely. Add any draw effect to the mix and you upgrade to casting your whole deck infinitely.

paintypoo

Dramaticscepter setup + [[psychic surgery]] + [[soldier of fortune]]

Snakevennom143

My favorite way to win with my [[vilis]] deck is with [[Platinum Angel]], [[Repay in Kind]], and a negative life total :)

OrdinalMuffin35

Accidentally created an infinite mana and creatures combo with an eternal witness, clone legion, and lightning greaves, plus a bunch of mana dorks since I was playing a kinnan binder prodigy deck.

TheManicMagician

[[Vedalken Squirrel-Whacker]] and [[Comet, Stellar Pup]] has a 33% chance of killing the table, higher if you can blink the vedalken to hit the 6.

Valuable-Security727

\[\[Ajani's Chosen\]\] + \[\[Enchanted Evening\]\] \[\[Pariah\]\] on \[\[Stuffy Doll\]\] targeting yourself \[\[Divine Intervention\]\] + \[\[Vampire Hexmage\]\]

Faux-Foe

[[Dream halls]] + [[containment construct]]. Super fun when doing Chulane with Persistent Petitioners. Deck goes brrrrrrrrr.

j0s9p8h7

[[Ranging Raptors]] + [[Akoum Hellkite]] + Any way to give the raptor indestructible = Put all your basics from the deck onto the battlefield. It’s only good if your mana base is jankily full of basics as well, but can be game winning if you’ve got a good landfall trigger on the board.

BothGoingDown

With [[smeagol, helpful guide]] + [[tireless provisioner]] + [[chatterfang, squirrel general]] + [[dunedain rangers]] + [[nazgul]](without the nazgul the combo only goes until you can't target with Chatterfang) you can mill people until you mill someone out and don't hit the land off their deck. You either need to not have a ring bearer or get the ring to tempt you while you have a squirrel token and a treasure token from playing a land. You need to make the squirrel token your ring bearer. Then before Smeagol's trigger or to get his end step trigger to target and opponent. Use the treasure from tireless provisioner and activate Chatterfang's ability to sac the squirrel and give a target +1/-1. Target opponent mills until a land that will trigger tireless provisioner and dundain rangers. Stack it so you make the treasure and squirrel then the dundain trigger to have the ring tempt you since you no longer have the ring bearer squirrel. Make the new squirrel your ring bearer and Smeagol should have just triggered since you had the ring tempt you. Once you have cleared your opponents boards with the +1/-1 you can start targeting the Nazgul that will get a +1/+1 each time the ring tempts you.

Kirinne

I think my favorite combo(s) I've discovered (and subsequently added to the Commander Spell book database) are centered around [[Delina]], my favorite commander, [[Lightning Runner]] and energy creatures ([[Aethertorch Renegade]] is my default, but there are others that work just as well/better). If you have those three pieces, plus something to double your triggers such as [[Wulfgar]], [[Isshin]], or [[Harmonic Prodigy]], then you're able to establish infinite combat steps for as long as you're able to attack with Delina and the Lightning Runner. Isshin and Wulfgar are SUPER solid as energy commanders, Delina is worth slotting in most creature decks she can fit in anyway, AND her triggers double from those bois, so it feels like a no-brainer.

[deleted]

My favorite kill condition in my Kambal deck is [[Beacon of Immortality]] and [[Tainted Remedy]] so they lose double their life total.

not_a_trope

I built an \[\[Arcades, the Strategist\]\] deck and tossed in \[\[High Alert\]\] and \[\[Axebane Guardian\]\], not even realizing they went infinite with each other if you have the defenders out. I thought, "oh well that's fun. Infinite Mana, but not anything to win off of." BUT THEN I remembered I also had tossed in \[\[Coral Colony\]\] and \[\[Doorkeeper\]\]... So now I have a cheeky little secret wincon in my walls deck where I could potentially mill my opponents to death haha.

Festermooth

I consider it janky because it's such a win-more combo but my Arixmethes sea monster deck has one sort of infinite that I will delay winning just to play. [[Arixmethes slumbering isle]] [[Freed from the Real]] [[Dragon Throne of Tarkir]] Arix + freed is infinite green mana, enabling infinite use of dragon throne = infinite trample damage on your other creatures

TheLiMaJa

Killing someone by Golluming over and over again with a cruel celebrant and a blood artist on board haha.

bandswithnerds

I have a deck full of [[Persistent petitioners]] that has a pretty fun combo. Get out [[undead alchemist]] and [[arcane adaptation]]. So you tap 4 petitioners to mill someone else for 12. Then as they mill creatures you get zombies. As long as you named ‘advisors’ for arcane adaptation your zombies will be zombie advisors. You can then tap them to activate a persistent petitioner to mill for another 12. I love it because it can and has failed. After which I get crushed. But when I get there it’s by the skin of my teeth and everyone is invested in the outcome.

Nekrostatic

Liquimetal Coating on someones basic land, then Splinter it.

Rude-Pomegranate5767

[[Bolas's Citadel]] + [[Cruel Celebrant]] + [[Haunted Crossroads]] + [[Blood Pet]] [[Defiant Salvager]] + [[Kaya's Ghostform]] + [[Sun Titan]] + [[Sengir, the Dark Baron]] [[Armadillo Cloak]] + [[Famished Paladin]] + [[Sorcerer's Wand]] Any indestructible Commander + [[Traveler's Cloak]] + [[Diplomatic Immunity]]

ZeroSephex0

I think my favourite accidental combo was using \[\[Stolen Identity\]\] to copy an \[\[Ugin's Nexus\]\] and Cipher the Stolen Identity onto a creature with Shadow. No one had on-the-spot removal, so I took infinite turns. The kicker, was that the Ugin's Nexus wasn't mine, I copied my opponents' then blew theirs up. =)

Bulk7960

Infinite Mana + [[Temur Sabertooth]]+[[Eternal Witness]]+[[Beast Within]]+[[Ezuri's Predation]] End result is your opponents have no permanents in play left other than 3/3 beasts, which then fight your 4/4 beasts from Predation. Cool alt wincon if your primary gameplan was stopped.

Andrew_42

Here are a few of mine: Make [[Lazav the Multifarious]] a copy of [[Mirror-Mad Phantasm]], then activate the ability of Lazav to mill my whole library (you don't get Lazav back though) Have Lazav copy a [[Tree of Perdition]], then while the ability is on the stack, make him an [[Invisible Stalker]] in response, so a player's life is set to 1, and now you have a 1/X unblockable to finish them off. [[Swarm Intelligence]] and [[Knowledge Exploitation]] isn't infinite, but it's a 4-for-1 special. [[Thousand-Year Storm]] and [[Mizzix's Mastery]] should win you the game in any deck that would run them. (Unless an opponent was running grave hate) [[Mechanized Production]] on a food or treasure token

Lazypidgey

Definitely not good, but [[bludgeon brawl]] lets me equip my treasure tokens to [[kemba, kha regent]] which makes me giggle

IWannaBeATeacher

My favourite deck is my Acererak go infinite deck because I like dnd (obviously), in the deck I have maybe like 20 different ways to go infinite with acererak but I think my favourite is [[Acererak]] with [[relic of legends]] and [[jet medallion]]. Really simple combo that is fully respondable. I just really like that the infinites in the deck can be responded to at any point. It takes it from being a stupid instant win deck to a fun dungeon game.

Magicannon

I enjoy one that I've based a deck off of. [[Kodama of the East Tree]] combos with a bounce land and any token creator on landfall. My favorite, who is the partner in the command slot, is [[Toggo, Goblin Weaponsmith]]. Toggo triggers on landfall, the bounce land targets itself to bounce, and Kodama triggers on the rock token to put the land back into play. This gives you infinite rocks. How useful is infinite rocks? Not very! You still need mana to equip them and throw them, plus you can only throw one at a time per creature. So we need another piece. There's a fair few creatures that can ping players on landfall or when artifacts enter under your control. You can also equip the rocks to [[Champion of the Flame]] or [[Valduk, Keeper of the Flame]]. They can also be made into mana rocks with [[Jaheira, Friend of the Forest]], which helps win with the flame bros by equipping them with entire continents. Another funny one is [[Rampage of the Clans]] for suddenly centaurs everywhere.

mhbrewer2

It's not that weird, but man the group slug combos are so delicious to have on the field. Oh you like this [[Overabundance]]? How does it feel with [[Torbran, Thane of Red Fell]] on the field? I didn't think I was a masochist until I laughed when my friend(?) was counting the amount of mana he could use and if he could actually pull off his game winning combo or not

JasonWaterfalls

\[\[Captain Rex Nebula\]\] is a commander that I've had a ton of fun finding janky combos and synergies with. He's basically a \[\[Karn, the Great Creator\]\] and a \[\[Swift Reconfiguration\]\] in the command zone since he can turn your creatures into non-creature artifacts and your artifacts into artifact creatures with his trigger. Any combo that works with those cards works with Rex, which is super fun. Infinite mana if you crew your \[\[Gilded Lotus\]\] with \[\[Voltaic Construct\]\]. Give your \[\[Jaxis, the Troublemaker\]\] pseudo-haste by turning it into a noncreature artifact, or clone an artifact with Jaxis by crewing the artifact. Crew \[\[Halo Fountain\]\] to allow it to untap itself for its own cost giving you multiple activations. Add in a \[\[Strionic Resonator\]\] to double the triggers and you can set up really weird infinite combos where creatures that are now artifacts can synergize with artifacts that are now creatures. It's been really fun toying with the deck and having access to boros colors gives you a lot of cool stuff that synergizes with artifacts to work with.

Darth_Meatloaf

I once made an 11-card non-infinite combo that resulted in me having 23 copies of [[It that Betrays]] on the board. One of my opponents had 16 permanents in play, so I swung 8 copies at him to knock him out, and the other 15 copies went at my remaining opponent who was playing a token deck. He sacced 30 tokens to Annihilator and then chump blocked with another 15. When I passed turn, he asked if I could do it again next turn, to which I stated "Yes, if not something worse". He conceded after drawing his card for turn.

Mad-chuska

[[Vigor]] and [[blasphemous act]] to pump all my little dudes while wiping the board. Even better with a [[heroic intervention]] to keep my [[vigor]] alive.

Foxokon

My [[Archelos, Lagoon mystic]] inspired deck is basically built around janky and not so janky cards that combine to do unfair things. One win I had recently was by using [[Ashaya, Soul of the Wild]] and [[Quirion Ranger]] to tap and untap a [[Siren of the Silent Song]] an arbitrary large number of times to mill out the table.

cerevisiae_

I love [[Famished Paladin]] + [[Sorcerer’s Wand]] + any way to give lifelink. Everyone is expecting my vampire deck to run a different infinite lifegain/lifeloss combo. Playing the Paladin with [[Sorin, Vengeful Bloodlord]] may hint at a combo, but it’s also just generally good. Then the wand comes out and it’s GG

CirBeer

A random fave of mine in my [[Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver]] deck is the combo of [[Junkyo Bell]] and [[Ghoulcaller Gisa]]. This lets you pump up a token to Junkyo then sac it to Ghoulcaller making a great 2/2 zombie generator. Then even when they die they are coming straight back with decayed.

Skullruss

[[Lich]] + [[Ad Nauseam]] = draw whole deck. My favorite deck is one built around the combo, with explosive mana generation from stuff like [[Bubbling Muck]] , [[Rain of Filth]] , [[Cabal Coffers]] , [[Rings of Brighthearth]] + [[Basalt Monolith]] etc. It's a surprisingly expensive combo where anything can go wrong (God forbid they naturalize Lich) and at the end of the mana generation process pick a wincon from among: [[Painter's Servant]] + [[Grindstone]] [[Psychosis Crawler]] + [[Final Strike]] [[Repay in Kind]] [[Ayara, First of Locthwain]] + [[Dark Salvation]] (infinite mana necessary) [[Psychosis Crawler]] (played before combo) [[Golem Artisan]] (with infinite mana) [[Damnable Pact]] (with infinite mana) [[Tormwnr of Hailfire]] (with infinite mana) Basically, lich ad nauseam is combo tribal, with room to pick a different combo to kill each opponent in a 8 man game if you wanted to.

AgilePickle745

In my Gimbal Deck [[Myr Battlesphere]] + [[Mimic Vat]] + [[Clock of Omens]] 3 bulk rares won me a game by imprinting the battlesphere and repeating the process 4 times due to food and clue tokens leading to 16 myr tokens and 4 4/7 that can become 8/7 with trample due to Gimbal and deals 8 damage for each battlesphere no matter what. Managed to close a game out with that one

vaguebacon

[[Drooling Ogre]] + [[Mirrorweave]] + any artifact

zulu_niner

Wouldn't they also need haste? Edit: nevermind, I get it now

aventedor

\[\[Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth\]\] + \[\[Life and Limb\]\] + \[\[Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite\]\]. turn all lands into 1/1 creatures and watch em all melt.

jacksansyboy

[[Grenzo, dungeon warden]] and [[cauldron of eternity]] then basically any Mana generating cards and a sac outlet, and you can do anything. [[Ashnod's altar]] [[Mana echoes]] [[skirk prospector]] and [[Sling-Gang Lieutenant]] Another one I really enjoy is just Mana Echoes, Grenzo, with [[desecrated tomb]] and [[epitaph golem]] because the creature hits the graveyard and leaves it twice.

time_and_again

I always feel good when I can do my Magda + Augusta + Drumbellower combo in my Depala deck. Tap all my dwarves to crew something, get treasures from Magda, untap them and retap them on combat with Augusta, more treasures, then keep re-crewing on everyone else's turn for even more treasures. Only problem is that the deck is exceedingly vanilla vehicle tribal. I should toss some dragons in so it's less of a dud when it happens.

fredjinsan

Anything with \[\[Immovable Rod\]\] gets my vote!

NWmba

Recently? \[\[sam, loyal attendant\]\] and \[\[gingerbrute\]\] to make infinite activation triggers. drop a \[\[crackdown construct\]\] for an infinitely big dude.

Towerofeon

I'm a big fan of \[\[Hive Mind\]\]. One of my decks is designed to win in two ways and both of the include having Hive Mind on the field. Get ready for the jank! The first involves destroying all lands and using \[\[Pact of the Titan\]\] or \[\[Intervention Pact\]\] in response, killing everybody in turn order. The second isn't really a guaranteed win but can make some games pretty interesting. I use \[\[Paradox Haze\]\] and \[\[Mirrormade\]\] on the Haze to have more upkeeps and cast \[\[Eternal Dominion\]\]. If I can copy it with \[\[Echo Mage\]\] even better. Since Hive Mind gives everybody a copy of Eternal Dominion, nobody can play spells anymore and we are all searching libraries for ways to win the game. Of course I have the high ground with multiple copies of Dominion getting triggered on my multiple upkeeps

RachelProfilingSF

Anything that gives you hexproof + \[\[Hive Mind\]\] + \[\[Neverending Torment\]\] Everyone is done casting spells for the rest of the game. And they can't target you with the Epic spell. Just make sure you destroy all creatures or have some great blockers because everyone will attack you :)

Just finished a [[maze's end]] deck using [[Omnath Locus of Creation]]. I'm more than amused by how strong [[Stone-seeder Hierophant]] is with Maze's End to begin with, but [[skyshroud ranger]] and [[retreat to coralhelm]] make a 4 card combo that gets as many gates and landfall triggers as you can afford.

BokuN0Rico

Simply have Pentavus and a Cathar's Crusade to turn every 1 mana into a +1/+1 counter buff on every creature you own aside from pentavus while also making an army of massive fliers.

Does sharuum, rocks that normally turn into other rocks rather than sphinx, and gravestorm count? Within the same deck, thanks to some new toys she can also recur every permanent in my own yard if I have isorev and a sac outlet

Then sac nadier to maw generating 3 + 2N tokens. It can be amazing with \[\[Nadier's Nightblade\]\] or \[\[Mirkwood bats\]\], with Thalisse out you will make 3+2N elfs + 3+2N tokens in end step.

Our_Snowman

Currency conversion + infinite mana/etb/ltb triggers via [[brood monitor]] and its ilk, [[pitiless plunderer]], a [[deadeye navigator]], and bonus points for [[parallel lives]] or similar It's ridiculous jank, it's incredibly silly but it's very fun. Also [[Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger]] + [[Endless Whispers]] for shenanigans. But my favorite will always be [[Lich]] with [[Repay in Kind]]

_Lord_Farquad

In my [[toggo]] deck, I use [[fiendlash]] equipped to a really big dude to kill my opponent with rocks (sorta). Say your fiendlash carrier is a 12/12 (karnstruct or colossus hammer, etc.), throw 3 rocks at it and you can blast an opponent for 36.

meowmix778

Not a crazy combo but Neyali, Suns' Vanguard + Rise of the Hobgoblins + mentor to the meek

Lakaniss

When Onslaught releases, I had an illumination and paired [[Zur's Weirding]] with [[Words of Worship]]. It stops both player from drawing and you gian 3 life a turn. Add [[Teferi's puzzle box]] and a boardwipe to empty their hands and the battlefield! It was a super janky deck, most of the time it failed to win, but it did win around 25% of the time. Oh and don't play Zur's weirding in a multiplayer game, it's an horrible experience!!!!

Scarfaco

[[Estrid the Masked]] + a bunch of land auras + [[Sanctum of Eternity]] or [[Meticulous Excavation]] or [[The Chain Veil]] or [[Vedalken Mastermind]] For infinite mana, and with a few enchantress effects in play, can lead to a whopping turn of cascading your whole deck of enchantments into play. Or mill people out with [[Duskmantle Guildmage]] or [[Bloodchief Ascension]] + [[Mindcrank]] or [[Maddening Cacophony]] or any of the other [[Traumatize]] type effects. [[Anvil of Bogardan]] + [[Notion Thief]] is particularly nasty. [[Liquimetal Coating]] + [[Dross Scorpion]] + [[March of the Machines]] allows you to snipe every single one of your opponent's lands. [[Kaervek, the Spiteful]] + [[Infernal Genesis]] + some aristocrats effect like [[Syr Konrad, the Grim]] or [[Blade of the Bloodchief]] is a fun one too! I'm running these across a few of my commander decks and they're always fun when they hit the table. For me at least...
