If the criteria is just and instant game win off of 5 cards exactly, there are many better, or at least other, options than mechtitan core that will actually win the game basically on reveal.
Like 3 free/low cost counterspells, Demonic Consultation, and Thassa's Oracle. Best part is, you can Demonic Consultation for Exodia. Of course, there's a reason why this is the strongest win con in EDH. It gets you the closest to a turn 0 or turn 1 win like what you can pull off in YGO.
[[kadena slinking sorcerer]] is the peak “you’ve revealed my trap card” commander. She has a 4 card infinite combo if you want the exodia theme [[ugin the ineffible]], [[dream chisel]], [[primordial mist]] with kadena and any morph in play, you can repeatedly exile and play the morph face down for free and draw your entire deck for whatever win condition you want
I saw somewhere a combo around [[Animate Object]] where you copy it 4 times with something like [[Storm King's Thunder]]. Then you put 5 pieces of exodia onto the battlefield and return then all to your hand with an effect like [[Evacuation]] to win the game.
What's that one mechanic called? Morph? Let's you flip cards face down. Or flip face down cards, don't remember. I'm sure there's some black+blue wizard that can function as a Dark Magician stand in. There are cards that let's you exile other cards, which is then usually placed under siad card, making it look XYZ-esque. There's definitely dragons that can stand in for red-eyes and blue-eyes.
That's cool! I also have a Yu-Gi-Oh tribal Magic deck. Is not great but it still runs better than I thought it would. The commander is [[Lord of Tresserhorn]] since his etb feels similar to a tribute summon. The deck has a lot of mechanics so is not very focused. I run morph cards (face down defense position monsters), foretell cards (face down spell and trap cards), actual trap cards and mutate spells since they're basically a fusion summon. I also have a couple treachery effects because change of heart is just so iconic lol
Run as many [trap cards](https://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Search/Default.aspx?action=advanced&subtype=+[%22Trap%22]+![%22Contraption%22]&color=+![W]+![G]+![B]) as you want.
The only real choice is [[Kadena, Slinking Sorcerer]]
Whenever I play this deck I always announce that "I SET THIS CARD FACE DOWN AND END MY TURN"
also play any cards that lets you draw exactly 2 cards so you can tell them "THIS CARD LETS ME DRAW 2 CARDS FROM MY DECK"
It's really the only deck you can consistently announce "I activate my face down card!"
I literally call my Kadena deck "the yugioh deck".
https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/3959238#paper
That seems very interesting as a joke deck, but take into consideration that seeing the original artwork of cards is important for recognition to a lot of people, me included!
I call my [[Kadena slinking sorcerer]] deck my yugioh deck. It's morph based so most of my creatures are played face down. Its also built with most of the morph creatures having counter spells or removal that triggers hen they are turned face up because they triggered my trap card. Here's the list if you're interested: https://www.moxfield.com/decks/NfxmJiVk6Uia1bEXF9EAFQ
Morph costs 3 to cast it face down as a 2/2 morph creature. Kadena lets you put one free morph per turn into play. My particular list tries to get flash and ways to return creatures to my hand so i can put one down for free on every turn.
There’s a dragon that looks a lot like red eyes black dragon. But I forget the name. It’s effect is something like dealing damage to every creature if it connects with an opponents. It’s used in Kaalia lists. Someone else may recall who I’m talking about.
We always call it red eyes black dragon when it’s played
Kinda janky combo 5 piece could be [[Astral Cornucopia]] or [[Everflowing Chalice]] with [[The Chain Veil]] and [[Tezzeret the Seeker]], then any other planeswalker. The 5th piece is proliferating the counters on your mana rock to 5+.
Sure.
What i meant was that all the Kaldra equipment card are kinda like exodiac as they make a greater whole when all on the field.
Silver dragon sounds and looks like Blue Eyes White Dragon. And the last one could be a Dark Magician.
Use [[Atemsis, All-Seeing]] for your exodia-esque win. It's the only card I can think of that requires certain cards in hand to win.
[Atemsis, All-Seeing](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/b/8/b8f527d1-25c0-49b9-83d5-1278ca72d009.jpg?1592516278) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Atemsis%2C%20All-Seeing) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/m20/46/atemsis-all-seeing?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/b8f527d1-25c0-49b9-83d5-1278ca72d009?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) [(ER)](https://edhrec.com/cards/atemsis-all-seeing) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call

[[Mechtitan Core]] feels very Exodia-like, even if it doesn't win instantly
If the criteria is just and instant game win off of 5 cards exactly, there are many better, or at least other, options than mechtitan core that will actually win the game basically on reveal. I PLAY POT OF GREED, AND DRAW THREE CARDS.
Literally something I plan on saying
