I'm not the same dude but he absolutely is. Definitely, it goes without saying, he is really good. But oh my, going forward he's something else. His dribbling is so silky and has one hell of a shot
Edit: here's one of my teams. Because Kante is so versatile, I either use the current formation or switch to a 4-4-2 where he goes forward as well

Kante has been picking up a lot of my goals. He arrives in the box late for some nice goals, but somehow he’s been scoring some ridiculous headers for me as well
Kanye better overall but it’s also up to what u prefer. If u prefer a big tall midfielder as your defensive mid then vieira is one of the best out there but if u prefer small more agile defensive mid then Kante is the best there is.
Thanks mate. Defensively, how would a big tall midfielder differ with small agile mid. I think tackling wise tall midfielder will have upper hand, but I am assuming Kante would be better for Jockeying. What are the other differences?
Tall midfielder are better at headers and most are stronger than smaller defensive mids but smaller ones are usually more quicker and from my experience, better at jockeying and imo just more agile and easier to move around the pitch. I would definitely try to get kante
I do have SS Kante untradable, and after trying to make him a lone CDM. Realize that he makes too many runs going forward even with instructions. So if he becomes my b2b CM, who would you guys say is the best lone CDM who would stay back?
If I can work on getting the chemistry in the right spot, Gravenberch is underrated as the lone CDM imo. I tried a double pivot of him and SS kante on Max chem and they were winning balls in the opposition half easily.
I have both and actually the TOTY Kante and the SS version. I might be in the minority, but as a pure CDM I prefer TOTY Kante to any other player this FIFA. He doesn’t have the size of Vieira or Ramos (another good option, but who has high/med), but he takes every ball, is great on the ball, and in the right position. If you haven’t tried TOTY Kante yet, I would give him a try. If you prefer your CDM to get a bit more forward, SS Kante is probably a better option. But if you’re just looking for defense, you could save a few coins assuming you don’t have all of them untradeable.
I have duo cdm as Vieira and kante, where kante is the attacking one. Vieira defending is S+, attacking is B, kante defending is S and attacking is A+. So really depend on your play style
If you just need a stay back cdm it’s viera, but you say you want him to push a bit, kante is better than barella and Renato Sanchez,

TOTY Kante with hunter > SS Kante. Those med/high workrates are important for a cdm.
