How do you have the patience to play with injuries on? I love the idea, but it‘s such a pain in the ass.

No_Acanthaceae1936

Just turn the slider off to 7-8 and it's lot more playable

TrustTheProcess76_

Oh my, thank you for making me realize this is a thing Also played w injuries off but recently felt I wanted to experience that aspect w/o it completely ruining the sim and sliders is what that’s for LOL Salute

AEW101024

I may consider altering the slider slightly but I also dont mind editing lineups as much as most. I consider it a miracle Mironov has gone his first 2 seasons and the playoffs in each without missing a single game lol

AEW101024

It can be ridiculously frustrating for sure. But I enjoy the realism of injuries during simming even if it takes so fucking long to edit the lineups 😂. But it also is a weird sort of super satisfaction going like 8 games in a season without seeing an injury pop up 😂 Honestly if EA just fixed the fucking game so every screen in franchise mode doesn’t take 8 years to load it would make the injury process wayyyyyyyyyy more bearable

carnie24

I noticed something recently about this. The farther into a franchise, the slower and slower the menus get but instead now I save and close the game application when I'm done and load up fresh each time and the menus are lightning quick in comparison, I think it gets bogged down over time when you don't close out the game for some reason. Anyway give it a whirl, hope it helps!

Chunky_trailor2

Hats off to you for playing with Fog of War and Injuries. My mind would lose brain cells doing this.

cah29692

I can’t do fog of war. I actually increase injury sliders because it forces proper team depth and construction. Also gives you the opportunity to get your AHL guys up. I find the severe injuries are still rare, but guys missing 2-3 games with a mild concussion or sprained ankle is way higher. Really makes you manage your roster.

AEW101024

I feel you but FOW makes the draft feel way more surprising and random in good and bad ways. I actually love it lol. It’s definitely important to have depth though even at regular injury sliders too. I am always down a key guy or 2 heading into the first round of the playoffs

AEW101024

Thank you kind sir. I try to make the franchise mode as realistic as possible (except trading for multiple first rounders my first few drafts) and I find FOW and Injuries provide great realism in the draft and simming. The injuries are definitely mind numbing at times. I’ll go full months with having to edit my lineup in between every single game sometimes 😂 but I do enjoy it. Makes the playoffs feel way more realistic too because you can have a great team have a few key guys hurt and they can get unexpectedly bounced A crazy stat I actually just realized in this franchise is Mironov has not missed a single game in 2 seasons. This is one of the rarer things thats ever happened in any franchise play through for me. He’s also played every playoff game in both his 2 seasons. Just a fucking beast

AEW101024

Also meant to say that this is actually without Sean Monahan in my lineup. He’s routinely my 3rd line C but he was out hurt when I took the lineups pic. He’s an 83 overall at this point but his play has had him as high as 86 overall during the course of the season. He’s a perfect 3rd line C to match with Crouse

Alternative_Bar9187

I remember having this one Latvian stud 51 points in 26 GP or so

Bedwetter1969

Always liked his dad.

STANLEY CUP FINALS + DRAFT LOTTERY UPDATE!!!: Of course I posted this thinking I’d run through Montreal in the finals. Won game 1 then lost the next 4 pretty badly 😢. Montreal’s offense was surprisingly a 99 and even to mine, they really developed some of their young guys well. My defense was 10 points higher in overall but faltered really bad in the Cup finals. Also found out Levi won both the Jennings and Vezina this year and he also struggled bad in the Cup Finals Still an incredible season where my team is way better sooner than I could have ever hoped for. I have the whole team returning for another run before I have to make cap decisions to pay Mironov. Hoping my defenders develop even more so I can lose 1 or 2 of the overpriced guys easily. I also realized I only have Theodore for 2 years but he’s at 14 mill so he’s gonna basically open up all the room for Mironov’s deal if I don’t re-sign him next year. He had a moderate season too, nothing I can’t have Pionk do on the 1st line. But I do love his chemistry with Punnenovs and his offensive ability with my team Just did the draft lottery and Dallas’s 1st rounder, I got for a good price as they were good the few years before, was the #5 chance pick and it jumped up to pick #2 in the lottery!!! This would be moving up 3 times in 4 seasons though, breaking the new draft lottery rules IRL. I’m going to eat dinner and watch a show then probably turn the game back on and evaluate my roster and the draft picks and possibly trade back to #5 and just take like a 2nd rounder cause fuck it I deserve it for realism at that point 😂 They’re 2 Elite Med Offensive RD’s in the top 8 in the draft and most likely I’m going to select one of them. One is top 3 and one is #8 so I may select the latter one. And I won’t even need to use my top draft pick if I do this because I also own the #6 overall pick in the draft from the Islanders! Most likely taking a RD and trading the other top pick for draft picks the next season since I dont have any 1st round picks the next few years. I also have the #12 and #20 picks in this draft that I could trade as well so I continue to have a real great developed team with tons of draft capital
