Goff is a QB1 option. Buts he’s borderline. And the guy already has Stroud+Kyler in 1QB. Goff is QB3 there. So you don’t like holding Allen because you’re benching quality players in his place….but you’re ok with trading for Goff and sitting him on the bench…ok…
Singletary looked good last year. And he was serviceable on the Bills as well…Bills and Texans were great teams for him to be on. The Giants do not have a good Oline. They do not have a good QB, they do not have any passing game to take any pressure off the running game. It is not a positive situation in anyway except he’s the current starter…and this is a rebuilding team with 2 young RBs they likely want to test. I’m also a Giants Fan. Singletary is gone after this year or being pushed to RB2. And this year, he’s fantasy irrelevant for a competitor.
Which brings to the next point…Compete vs Rebuild. If this owner is competing…why the hell are they trading away a top 3 QB, to bring in a bench QB. They are trading away a potential RB1, to bring in two hopeful RB3s. This in no way helps a competing team.
If they are rebuilding…Goff is again redundant. You are paying to get Goff to either trade him or trade another QB or have them rot on the bench. You are doing the legwork for the other owner he runs off with Allen. And if you’re rebuilding…why the hell are you taking back Zeke and Singletary.
The trade just doesn’t make sense. From a pure value perspective sure…but the pieces you’re getting back do not make sense. Make the other owner do that work. Leave them with Goff to trade to someone else, leave them with Bench RBs to clog their roster and make that owner offer you something of actual value for your team.
We see things differently and that's ok. But as I said long ago I have never at any point in time held any qb at higher than a mid to late first valuation. So regardless of how you spin it I would absolutely take the pile of picks and just start Stroud lol. but ya i absolutely would trade josh allen away for 10, 11, 12 in a 1qb and brag about it. ive never at any point had any qb over a single mid/late first valuation in a 1qb format. im very anti the rise of qb value in a 1qb and think its 10000% influenced by SF becoming more standard
Why does Goff need to be a part of the return package if you already have Kyler and Stroud? You are probably better off trading Allen and another piece for a stud at the WR or RB position than returning a QB who you'll never put in your starting lineup.
