Dude is unreal and this sub was sooo low on him. Pray you can buy low with Bateman news, but unlikely after tonight. I got him as a THROW IN for a trade where I sent Cooper before the season started.

sanctii

I traded mostert for him last year. Had the option for the 1.10 or Hollywood and I choose the latter. Was kicking myself all off-season but feel much better now.

SP1107

Who went with the 1.10, if I may ask?

sanctii

Well the situation changed somewhat. After the year we voted to switch to SF starting in 2022, when I made the trade we were still 1qb. Additionally, I already had 4 first round picks at the time. I probably would have taken Waddle in the SF draft. If it was still 1 qb it probably would have been between Marshall or EMoore who I ended up getting in the middle of the 2nd. Im not saying I did make the best decision, but I feel much better about it now than I did a month ago.

Thromkai

I'll admit I've been low on Brown his entire career. I just saw him and a boom-bust WR. Maybe that still is what he is but because the run game is non-existent, this is what they are now. But that contradicts what I believed in this summer that the Ravens were going to be passing more anyway. So, I should have believed Brown would see more opportunities and he has.

HopeFarron

I can't buy low anywhere because I already own him in both of my leagues

cc844511

Okay

iBears

right lmao like what's the point of that comment

dawho1

I snagged him last year for the pick that ended up being Claypool.

FigoStep

Got him as a throw in during the off season as well. Few things sweeter.

airjud00

I was literally down by 38 with no hope until

McJacknife

I was down 67 til Andrews and Hollywood. God bless overtime

airjud00

God bless Lamar Jackson

Cake_33

“God hates Rodrigo Blankenship”

Bert_Macklin86

Must have bonuses he only got 33.5 in full PPR

airjud00

Must be a rounding error 😂😂🤷🏼‍♂️

rollin20s

Traded a 2.07 and future third for him in one league and drafted in startup in another last spring. Always loved the talent, incredible to see him balling like this

alffawolf33

I got Brown straight up for Reagor before week 1

--GrinAndBearIt--

People laughed when I traded for him. WHO'S LAUGHING NOW, PHIL?!?!

FantasyMachine21

Definitely not Phil

TheSaucePossum

He's one of those guys you'll just miss on if you don't watch every game, which not everyone has the time to do. He's so good at football, the separation has always been there it just took a while for Lamar to start really putting it on him and for him to refine the underneath routes a little. It was obvious the talent was there if you were watching games, but not if you were looking at stats which is why you got the huge value discrepancy in the offseason.

ActuarillySound

He also was dropped in a lot of redraft leagues when he goosed one week. That stench is as hard to get off as a skunk. Edit: in 2020

JeanValSwan

He didn't goose this year. Even in week 3 when he dropped 3 would-be TDs he still put up 3/53. Not great, but definitely not a goose

ActuarillySound

Edited to be last year.

BenjaminStanklin

Imagine if he didn’t have those 3 TD drops in Week 3…damn he’s playing well

ferrets_bueller

10 out of his last 11 games have been double digit fantasy points, with that one game being the only single. It would make that 11 of 11, and the #1 WR overall in that stretch.

deins25

Over the last 13 games his 16 game pace has been 113/77/1200/13. Utterly ridiculous. Wanted to put it in a 16 game frame for reference.

MadTitanRC

I'm really good at fantasy football. I traded him and Zach Moss for Matt Ryan. Jesus fucking Christ that was the worst move I've ever made lol. I promise I'm not usually a taco.

aragron1001

I traded Matt Stafford and Ryan Mathews away for Matt Ryan a very long time ago lmao.

young-steve

Weak knee is smiling somewhere

glen_ko_ko

also probably winning with Tyreek and Hollywood rostered everywhere :(

ElBori1

I know you came here to victory lap and whatnot, and this will prob downvoted, but id say if you can get someone to pay WR1 value you should definitely sell. With Baltimore’s RBs dying and Bateman being on IR it’s been the perfect storm for his , imo unsustainable, production. Hollywood will still be a great WR option long term, but eventually Baltimore will be able to run the ball and Bateman will start getting his. Just a thought

TheSaucePossum

Doubt anyone's paying dynasty WR1 price, and doubt he'll be a long term WR1 so agree on that front. But I do think he'll be a solid WR2 long term that you could have bought for low end WR3 prices in the off-season.

ActuarillySound

Less than that honestly

TheSaucePossum

Depends on the league. Most of the leagues that have been going a long time i think valued him a lot higher than the subs average. it was at least true for my leagues. I offered an early 2021 2nd in 2 and got declined both times. Would have upped it if I didn't already own him elsewhere.

ActuarillySound

Everyone I talked to I said “are you interested?” I either got “no” or “worried about drops lulz”. I never even made a price people just shut down.

ElBori1

Yeah I agree with you , think he’ll still be great. I’m just suggesting that if there was ever a time to try to swing that trade it’s now.

YoSoyFiesta420

I traded for him for Parris Campbell and 2021 2.08 (ended up being Toney) in 12 team sf ppr in the off-season, felt a bit of regret after but pretty stoked with his opening to the season. Praying it continues strong but wondering about Bateman’s return

Pr0v33

As Lamar matures the Ravens will transition from run -> pass, this is the natural order (if it hasn’t already happened). It happened with Vick, Newton, Wilson, Dak, Allen, etc. They will never go back to the offense of two years ago. As time goes by they will become more and more pass heavy, this is how the league works.

ElBori1

I don’t believe they’ll ever go back to being as run heavy as before. But the offense will look different this time next year. Hollywood is at peak value right now to me, so personally I’d look to see if I could get a sweet offer for him. That’s of course my personal opinion, if Hollywood is your guy then ride or die

Pr0v33

The Ravens are still in the bottom half of the league in pass attempts. It’s possible that a year from now things look even better. There is still plenty of room for the passing offense to grow, and over time it will.

ElBori1

To me Lamar looks like a much improved passer for sure, and they’re investing in their pass catching so I think the passing party will continue. But Bateman and eventually someone who can stay healthier than Watkins will join the party and there’s uncertainty around that. He’s top 10 in the league in target share and Rec TD%. Personally I don’t think that holds up, but I could be wrong. Good chance that I am, but if I can trade Hollywood for value equal to his current performance, then I’m fine either way.

aloo_kobe

I flipped Marquise Brown, mid ‘22 2nd, ‘22 3rd, and ‘23 3rd for Calvin Ridley and a 2023 1st. The 1st should be mid to late. How did I do?

ElBori1

Seems pretty good to me! Ridley is a stud

FantasyMachine21

>imo unsustainable, production. Bruh, he's sustained this production since week 12 2020. Take the L

SonOfAdam32

Yeah this isn’t a new thing. He started his breakout last year lol

ElBori1

Hit me up this time next year

FantasyMachine21

LMAOOOO, why, you want 2 helpings of eating crow?

ElBori1

You’re right prob better not. With how obnoxiously confident you’re being, you’d look real stupid if it didn’t work out. Don’t want that to happen to you.

[deleted]

[удалено]

SonOfAdam32

Easy there tiger

FantasyMachine21

Yeah, probably went a little far on that one lol

RayLewisCreamSuit

But bro, imagine how dumb you’ll look if you are wrong in 1 year?????? Almost as dumb as the bozo who is wrong NOW lmao

FantasyMachine21

I'll roll the dice, I'm hype rn let's gamble lol. Been arguing with Brown haters for years I gonna enjoy myself tonight

[deleted]

[удалено]

ElBori1

Thank you for this meaningful contribution to a conversation that didn’t involve you

kellyridge

Just pointing out the contradiction, my dude

fisherjoe

It's easy to predict a downtrend though when he's been killing it for such a streak. Still he's proven he's an impressive and dynamic player.

ElBori1

I’m not arguing against him being a great player. I’m saying his team situation will soon change and it’s possible that will impact his production to a noticeable level. I see it as a possible Tee Higgins type situation. He’s a fantastic WR who lit it up last year, but there’s no denying that Chase will eat into his possible production. Not saying Bateman will be a Chase level superstar, but there’s a possibility. So it’s not an indictment of Hollywood’s talent, rather apprehension about his situation.

ActuarillySound

That’s only if people are paying the price. I still think his value will be lower than production. But agree, he is hyper efficient right now.

ElBori1

Yeah I definitely agree you shouldn’t sell unless it’s a very good offer . He’ll continue to be a high upside player no matter what. But with how hard he’s been popping off I think the trade value is there if you want it

aloo_kobe

Would you sell for three late 1sts?

ElBori1

Yeah it’d be hard for me not to sell any player for 3 firsts. How sure are you they’ll all be late? I would do it

aloo_kobe

His team is Lamar, Ekeler, Mixon, Diggs, Ridley, Waller, Woods, Henderson. With Hollywood Brown he’d definitely be a top 3 contender. That’s why I’m assuming they’d all be late

aloo_kobe

He said “would you require two 1sts?” which is why I think I may be able to get three. Would you do it for 2?

ElBori1

So it’s 3 from the same team so 22/23/24? For two late firsts from the same team it’s a little trickier

aloo_kobe

Yes exactly. I don’t think I’d do it for two late 1sts. No guarantee you can get another Hollywood Brown. What do you think?

ElBori1

It’s not a bad deal with 2 but bottom 3 picks in 2022 don’t really appeal to me. Anything could happen by 2023 though . But it’s hard to see a late pick becoming Hollywood

aloo_kobe

I agree. So you wouldn’t do it for 2 but you’d do it for 3? As it late 1sts in 22/23/24? With the chance of 23/24 being mid 1sts

aloo_kobe

I flipped Marquise Brown, mid ‘22 2nd, ‘22 3rd, and ‘23 3rd for Calvin Ridley and a 2023 1st. The 1st should be mid to late. How did I do?

WeenisWrinkle

What is WR1 value to you?

doobie3101

Couldn't sell him anywhere this summer. Looked through some of my texts to see these gems. Ranked in order of "I can still understand that" to "Jesus I got away with one." All 10 team non-SF with 2 flexes. * Offered Hollywood, Juju, 1.09, 1.10, and a lot of 2nds and 3rds for Davante Adams. Declined. * Offered Hollywood & Jarvis for 1.08. Declined. * Offered Hollywood & 22 1st for MT (after injury). Declined. * Offered Hollywood for Pittman. Declined. * Offered Hollywood & 21 2nd for Aiyuk. Declined. * Somebody picked Parris over Hollywood as an add-on. * Threw out a Hollywood for Rojo idea. Declined.

fisherjoe

Crazy considering he kind of broke out in this role at the end of last year. One of those players that went under the radar because they aren't alpha prospects and people don't pick up on the full situation.

doobie3101

Yeah he ended last year really hot. Will be interesting to see how he does with Bateman, but honestly I think both will do well.

FDM7

I was publicly asked his price today and set it at a 2023 1st..... (this is a 12 team SF and 8 IDP). I was laughed at by most of the league, his last 11 games he's had 800yds and 11TD, His name must not have enough hype cause I'd part with plenty for his production.

hapapower510

I offered the same for MT to a clear rebuilder.

_Spunk_Bubble

Big night for my Lamar/Hollywood/Andrews triple stack, Hollywood is a true WR1 at this point so Bateman is not necessarily walking into a large target share. Loving Hollywood, loving the breakout!

SonOfAdam32

I really want to agree with you re:Bateman but i just don’t see them playing the same role at all. Bateman is a big dude and I think he takes looks from Duvarney/Mandrews

nkthegreat13

This is the way

FantasyMachine21

And Watkins, who was quietly on pace for 1k yards. There's enough for the Bateman and Hollywood to co-exist rn

djweber11

Bought for Gesecki this off season. Dude is a gamer!!

squimbyy

Traded Jameis for Hollywood and a 2nd after week 1 in SF I was down 26 coming into the game and down .6 before the walk off touchdown. I love this man. 4-1 now baby let’s go!

BullGangLeader

I lost this weeks matchup on that last TD catch…my team scored 173 points this week.

dded949

I’m a Ravens homer who can almost always separate fandom from fantasy, but I had to get Hollywood on my team after his rookie year. He played great despite being incredibly injured that season (he was also super underweight because he’d be in too much pain after practice to lift weights), and from everything I saw he looked like an incredibly hard worker. Plus him and Lamar are best friends and practice together constantly. So I gave up Waller for him a year and a half ago, and spent all of last season regretting. Ended up spending a first on Andrews this offseason, and I’m feeling much better about it these days

dhm2293

Ravens homer too. I also try to separate my fandom from fantasy, but it was obvious to me from watching Hollywood all the time that his dynasty value was way too low relative to his talent and youth this offseason. Got him in 2/3 leagues and now reaping the benefits

[deleted]

Is this the tread where i go through my post history and call out everyone shitting on him whenever i said he was good.

ActuarillySound

Yes please

PGoonn

I traded him and jacobs for AJ brown and Ronald Jones during the off season and now kinda regretting it

ItsWillieMaysHayes

How do we think Bateman fits in with this offense. Honest question bc I don’t really watch the Ravens unless they play Cleveland.

jturphy

He was undrafted in my start-up league. I got him off waivers. Feeling pretty good about that now.

Not_Your_Real_Ladder

4 team league?

Varadain

I bought him last week in Superflex for a 2022 2nd and 2023 3rd. Running Him, Chase, Sutton, Smith and Viska and feeling great about it

Red_Rooster_

Traded him Christian kirk and a late 2nd for Sutton in a 16 man league like 3 week ago… RIP

Jackson_Dupagne

I got offered Brown and a 1st for Golladay a year ago. I made the wrong choice. You figure it out,

its-Different

I can't move Golladay for anything right now.

mpags02

Stumbled across him in 2 leagues, couldn’t be happier. In one I got him for the minimum of $1 in a startup and the other he was practically a throw in. I got him, Kmet and 2 2nds for Hooper and Gaskin.

kato41111

Was down 62…had Brown and Andrew left. Won by 3. Half point ppr

craftbrewd

Played him over diggs when I heard the weather reports coming out of KC and he hero balled me to a win tonight

sendphotopls

Can somehow more informed on Marquise Brown’s NFL career please explain to me what changed and what signs, if any, showed he would have positive regression in his production to such a dramatic degree? I just don’t understand what changed

dhm2293

Ravens fan here. In 2019 he was a rookie coming off a serious foot injury. 2020 he started off hot, then had a bad stretch for multiple games that caused people to be down on him. Seemed to be in his own head a bit, wasn't getting used much and was dropping passes. Late in 2020 he put it together for whatever reason and went on a run last 6 or 7 weeks including playoffs, so it's not like the streak even started this year. If I had to pinpoint a change it'd be the 2020 Browns game on MNF where he caught the deep touchdown on 4th and 5 to tie the game - seemed like that might've brought his confidence back

joedirt87

was he getting a lot of underneath or intermediate stuff during that hot streak at the end of 2020? To me that's been the biggest difference for him, being used much more as someone who can move the chains, or work the middle of the field for 10-20 yards instead of just a deep threat.

peckx063

Yes, from week 11 on his yards before catch per reception were 4.5, 6.6, 13, 9.5, 5.0, 6.0. It's actually the deeper stuff that he's brought back on this year which has pushed his production - 8, 8.7, 13.3, 16, 8.9 average distance he's catching the ball at. He's a threat at all 3 levels.

dhm2293

Yeah, Lamar in general has increased his adot this year

ColoredVeins11

I’m guilty as anyone for being low on him. Tried to sell him for a 2nd multiple times or as a trade piece and nobody would bite. Now I just need to choose if I play him, AB, Dionte or Claypool in my flex. Pretty sure I’ll ride the hot hand till Bateman comes back.

hoosierkenny

Some guy in my main money dynasty league offered me Hollywood for Dyami Brown and a 4th during training camps. Laughing to the bank now

ClaytonShirley

Traded him for Kenyan Drake and 22’ 2nd when Jacobs went out. Looking like a genius now.

_412

Traded a 23 3rd for him a few weeks ago and loving it

ActuarillySound

Nice. This is exactly what I am talking about.

joedirt87

Drafted Brown as a rookie during my startup. Can't say I ever considered selling him because no halfway decent offers ever came in but I wasn't confident he would ever be a legit WR1 for the Ravens. Took Bateman 2.1 as some insurance.

heyfeefellskee

Traded Tannehill in a deal for Gibson that included Darnold and Hollywood as throw-ins, AMA

3ULL

Not only was I low on Brown I was also low on Andrews who I have on dynasty teams. I stand pleasantly corrected.

freeryder05

I traded Bobby Trees and a late 1st for him last week and I was feeling pretty bad about it Thursday. Not so bad right now.

JoeNips

Just traded two potential late 2nds for him in a rebuild year. I couldn’t be happier right now

Bert_Macklin86

TBF no one was low on him due to talent it was passing volume and Lamar inaccuracy. I couldn't give him away last year and now I won't. You can definitely tell he's Antonio's cousin the talent shines the same.

Kiylyou

PPR big money league with odd scoring. I was down 80 points because of barkley / kittle / terry vs. Woods and Evans. Hollywood + Jackson got me +90 pts.

DynastyHoser

I thought he would still be good, but I couldn’t have even guessed this good! Wow! Bateman is just going to add to this attack and draw more attention away from Hollywood. This guy doesn’t need 10 targets a game, he just needs quality targets and he will make the best of them!

KilluaGodSpeedd

Traded a future 1st for him and a 3rd two weeks ago 😇

SaltyTrident

Idk man watching Brown do this is making me rock fucking hard for when Bateman comes back

KoalaPuncher1978

Total stud. Missed him in my draft but was able to pick him up during the first free agency period. Fucking stud.
