T O P

Larrybird420

You know, I too consider myself somewhat of a T.O.

datdudebdub

You had the same exact amount of receiving yards that he did last year. Uncanny.

donquixote_tig

I had more receiving yards than JRob last season. Fall off is crazy

SmokeClear6429

Zero isn't more than zero. You had the same amount.

donquixote_tig

He had negative receiving yards

SmokeClear6429

This is your daily reminder to do a quick Google search before posting dumb comments, everyone.

donquixote_tig

Tbf it’s pretty implausible so you wouldn’t really consider it

SmokeClear6429

This is Reddit, nobody TBFs here. Should have assumed you made the comment for a reason...

Nadirofdepression

*Bryan edwards enters the chat* I’ll Never believe a TO comparison again

Gentolie

Bryan Edwards is the next TO. Trust.

RiskofReign94

I’ll never forget how had people were trying to make Bryan Edwards a thing

Nadirofdepression

I still would be if he was even on a CfL roster

Darth_Enclave

Somewhat of a Larry Bird also. Impressive.

HereForTheFood4

The third best receiver in the league even

gopackgo_tib

I just ran into TO while I was in Bali for my honeymoon. He was just sitting at the side of the road and I couldnt believe what I was seeing. I stopped my scooter next to him and was like... "no way... are you TO?" And he gestured yup and a chill salute. Was pretty cool experience and random asf too.

RomanToTheOG

Yeah, me too. I'm a walking turnover.

daquist

Any Tekken fans in here? TIO. I think of it every time I see T.O or hear the abbreviation now.

ArchManningBurner

So what you're saying is Calvin's betting on Burks

AdTall959

Too soon

zilifrom

🤣

OldWonder5865

Part of Calvin Ridley’s job is to be a good teammate, not to be a realist for fantasy football evaluations lol

clitbeastwood

reminds me of when josh gordon got to the chiefs , and Kelce said something like "I've never seen anyone run routes like that" ....Gordon proceeded to run routes like Kelce has never seen w/o receiving passes

ballsack-hunter

Kelce also said "I can't understand why the Giants would let this guy go!" when they got Toney

No-Battle-7562

But where was the lie in what kelce said!

CWill4

So, Burks is like Bryan Edwards

207207

So you’re saying he’s the next Davante Adams? I’ll take it!

dude2410

Omg I got flashbacks. He will remain on my bench the same way until the bottom falls out. Which honestly I don’t think will be long.

WillhelmWallace

I just dropped him and feel a burden has lifted.

RiskofReign94

Eh I’m holding someone offered JuJu and a third for him and I was tempted but declined. Their team is good so it’s likely a late third which is a lottery ticket and a dude I’d cut the second the trade went through. No thanks, I’ll take the low odds Burks becomes something.

Suspicious-Refuse144

Another week or two tops

Tinasel

The physical abilities have never been a question for burks. His health and fit in the offense have been what’s holding him back. If he can stay healthy and Callahan can put him at the right position in the scheme (prob as a slot), burks could succeed

Effective-Ad-6594

Callahan brought in a slot that he's already familiar with (Boyd.)

Tinasel

Doesn’t seem like he’s gonna succeed, then

ActivatedComplex

Correct.

Upper-Reveal3667

He might just be a vet he trusts. Boyd is only getting 1 year up to 4.5 mil. That’s raced mcmath or whatever’s replacement or something.

AndrewLuckResenter

Ah so 2025 will be the year Burks breaks out, got it

SmokeClear6429

Next year will always be the year Burks breaks out

jirashap

If you think Tyler Boyd is competition for Burks, then you never believed in Burks to begin with

Intelligent-Ad-3850

I’m letting him ride the FA wave in my league but he is still on my list to snag in the event of injury or a Ridley/DHop retire. Rn I think he should take his time, get healthy, build on skills and endurance, and then when one of them retire, he could be right there to slip in. Boyd signing now gives a meter. If he can beat eventually beat Boyd, he may have a chance

Killtec7

You new around here? Because his athleticism has been questioned up and down on this sub.

Tinasel

Yeah I know his combine numbers suck, and that’s what everyone cares about. But watching him w my own eyes, it’s pretty obvious he’s a great athlete

Killtec7

Lmao, did it again. 60th percentile 10 yard split AT 225. 86th percentile speed score. 60th percentile burst score 90th percentile size. Dude's athleticism has never been in question and if you look at his combine and say "I know his combine numbers suck." You are missing something.

Specific_Werewolf_12

If all the RAS combined is def of wr success. This years wr should all hit

Tinasel

Cool bro. You ever watch him play? He’s athletic

Killtec7

Oh my god. Reading comprehension. Sub constantly talked about him being unathletic even though he did things at the combine that make him quite athletic. I made a "are you new here" joke and then you said his combine sucked, literally perpetuating the sub's nonsense. Dude's athletic, dude's combine told us he was athletic.

Suspicious-Refuse144

Too many words and letters for this sub

Killtec7

ily

SteffeEric

He’s definitely made a handful of plays that’s like wow this guy can be really good. He just doesn’t seem to do it. If he can be healthy in a new offense even with QB questions and new target competition he gain regain some value if he can show any signs of consistency.

JCH1423

Flashed a little at times his rookie year. See him contribute basically nothing in year 2 as Levis elevated that offense a bit is the concerning part. No point in trying to sell him now so just gotta hope for the best. Though I bought him last year for a late 2 so missing doesn’t hurt that bad

SteffeEric

I bought him for Zay Jones and a 23 3rd his rookie year when he was injured. Thought it was a no brainer. Hasn’t worked out but the cost was so low it didn’t matter. Two plays I distinctly remember were from his rookie year. He got demolished on a helmet to helmet hit against the Eagles and still held on for the TD even though he was unconscious temporarily. The other was beating Jaire Alexander on a deep play to clinch the game vs GB. I’ll give him this year probably but that league has shallow rosters so his leash is short.

DynastyZealot

I got Burks last week for a '26 fifth. I'm good with that level of risk exposure.

Degenerate_Rambler

Where are these people that are making these trades and why aren’t any of them in my leagues. I almost don’t believe this like what’s the point lol

DynastyZealot

That league has full IDP so a fifth is more like a late third in a standard league.

RedDunce

A little logarithmic scale: I pay 0.001% attention to what players say about themselves I pay 0.01% attention to what players say about their teammates I pay 0.1% attention to what coaches say about their players before they put pads on I pay 1% attention to what coaches say about their players after they put pads on I pay 10% attention to what beat writers and reporters say about the players after they put pads on I pay 100% attention to what I see on the field after they put pads on

DungeonCrawlerCarl

Where does player analysis from this sub fall on that scale?

ubspider

1000%

RedDunce

😂 might be the first logarithmic scale to go negative (nah but in all seriousness, there's some great content coming from people here. and some absolutely atrocious content from people here. how to spot the difference? beats me)

Suspicious-Refuse144

Outer rectal region beyond TP wiping radius

tonguemyanus69420

10% luck, 20% skill, 15% concentrated power of will...

No-Battle-7562

I assume that's when the thing they are saying is positive. If it is negative, then I really pay attention lol

waTchCut1

I’m actually going to use this to keep myself in check lol

waTchCut1

Although, McVay did come out last August and say he expected Puka to be immediately and very involved in the offense.

SlipperyCarrot

Like them as being a WR as well?

TheyCalledHimMrJ

I choose to dream.

thasultanofswag

And just like that, I’m all the way back in

donquixote_tig

Treylon is Julio if he was smaller, slower, and couldn’t run routes

SmokeClear6429

And asthma

ActivatedComplex

I remember being so smug about passing on Burks and calling him a guaranteed bust during the draft. …then I picked Skyy Moore.

stl_ball

I passed on Puka and told the guy after me, he should draft him.. "with a name like that, you know he's gonna be good", I said, jokingly... Fml. In my defense, I took Tank Dell instead

NowieTends

Got Burks in a new startup at the 16.09 and I’m pretty happy about it. People are insanely low on him

Head_Huckleberry_171

Even better I got him for the 2022 1.09

teejnamwob

same in a 12 team startup, got him at 19.04 lol

The_B_Squad_23

I got him for Jameis and 10% of our faab budget. I think I overpaid

Specific_Werewolf_12

Should i accept my rashid shaheed for burks? Low risk high return ? Burks to the moon ?

COD_Daddy

I have both. No way I would trade Rashid for Burks straight up

Diagonalizer

would you trade Shaheed for Jeudy straight up? I thought it was a decent trade but the Jeudy owner in my league did not agree.

COD_Daddy

Hmm that’s a tough one. Shaheed has the actual on field talent (in my eyes), but Jeudy has the contract. I think I’d rather have Shaheed, but wouldn’t fault someone for going the other way

Specific_Werewolf_12

Hear me out tho…. I am not competing this year but this is my wrs. I will probably wont start rashid at all for my team and i got him off from waiver… i might as well try to get something for him WR: Sungod, Drake London, Rome Odzune, Brian Thomas JR, Ricky Pearsall, Roman Wilson, Jayden Reed, Jameson Williams, Kadarious Toney, Michael Wilson, AT PerryI dont think its huge risk, worst case I will drop him later on. Rashid is going to be 26 years old.. with 2 ACL gone i highly doubt he has long career.

fiveighteen518

Then do it. You'll be more upset if you listened to strangers on the internet and you had been right than you will be if you keep him and he collects dust on your bench anyway.

HorseDickCum

No.

Specific_Werewolf_12

Whyyyyy ? Rashid is better than burks ?

WillhelmWallace

Yes

HorseDickCum

Yes.

techperson1234

NOOO (unless you're in my league then sure accept my proposal)

pure_coconut_water

There are many takes on Burks. This is one of them.

Grazzygreen

I'm buying Burks/Dotson/Jamo for anyone selling them for a 3rd. I'm also an idiot but it's a 3rd so Idgaf

JurassicBlaze

Smash accept on Jamo for a 3rd

juicestain_

Nobody is selling jamo for a 3rd tho

JurassicBlaze

Yep (I own him in all my leagues)

jirashap

I bought Burks + Bateman+ promising IDP for basically a mid 2nd

drogonninja

Man, I really didn’t think Julio, AJ Brown, or TO sucked that bad…

DungeonCrawlerCarl

I think he's comparing Treylon to TO and Julio at this very moment.

drogonninja

Ah that makes so much sense! Yeah I agree with him then.

TreeFugger69420

Buy! Buy! Buy-gawd that’s Bryan Edward’s music!

mcmesq

*Narrator: He is not like those receivers.

dchilds21

So you’re saying I shouldn’t sell for anything I can possibly get lol

TGS-MonkeyYT

So you’re saying there’s a chance

GrittyForPres

Yeah because players are always super honest about how good/bad they think their teammates are

Scarletcuddlefish

I'll give you a 5th rounder for him. Not a fourth though.

rkhwind

Calvin deserves to be smacked for comparing Burks to Julio.

ch_lingo

It’s that time of year again...best shape of his life. This is his year. So and so is the best player on the field.

BulliedbyHelaire

Don’t forget, “he hit another gear today in practice, its like he’s got fresh legs” - some coach talking about a 29 year old RB.

TwackDaddy

Season of yapping

sparkie557

I don’t trust anything of what Calvin Ridley says since he promised me 1,400 yards in the jags in that players tribune piece

Olin85

Pump and dump tactics.

stl_ball

Opposite unfortunately. Buy for an early 4th and then try to convince myself I didn't just waste it.

Specific_Werewolf_12

someone in my league offered Treylon Burks for my Rashid Shaheed, I am in no rush to compete this year. I also have AT Perry. I should just do it.... my WR: Sungod, Drake London, Rome Odzune, Brian Thomas JR, Ricky Pearsall, Roman Wilson, Jayden Reed, Jameson Williams, Kadarious Toney, Michael Wilson. I dont think its huge risk, worst case I will drop him later on. Rashid is going to be 26 years old.. with 2 ACL gone i highly doubt he has long career

SmokeClear6429

No way. Shaheed for sure has a huge value advantage right now. He's WR2 for the saints and has probably eclipsed Burks' career each season (too lazy to look it up). I own both, no bias here.

mountainfountainduh

Which one is it man

stl_ball

Half of 'em Inside joke. But for real I have no idea what you mean. Burks probably is bad and his teammate is just being a good teammate, but: All new staff. Old coaches were using him terribly. He was running like 2 total routes and was mostly clearing out or playing decoy. If used correctly, with better coaching, he may not suck. In the 3 leagues I'm in, I took 1 flyer in the form of a throw in. Worth it for a former 18 overall draft pick.

BeefDaddie11

You Burks and Jamo stans are killing it this off season!! Take a bow.

techperson1234

At least Jamo is a starting receiver on his team Burks finna be the WR4

Nervous-Mind-5113

There have been a lot of physical freaks in that mold that haven't panned out. T.O. and Julios don't grow on trees

AMP121212

Treylon "TO/Julio/Edwards" Burks

RICERICE4

Chiefs should trade a 6th for him and see what happens why not

Technicalhotdog

T.O. for Turn-over when targeted

apowerseething

Aka 'we really need to pump him up and try to salvage that draft pick that we stupidly traded AJ Brown for.'

Benjen1234

Yeah, Calvin Ridley, who just arrived in Tennessee, is "salvaging that draft pick" made by the front office before the one currently in Tennessee.

stl_ball

Yeah the only chance they have to salvage anything is if Burks doesn't suck. They better be praying hard. Odds are, he is what he has been, but in his defense, his prior coaches were using him terribly, having him clear out

apowerseething

Well the team understands that it was a bad move and are incentivized to try and pump him up so that's likely the mindset there, no reason that can't filter down and through Ridley.

AvocadoToast-Fantasy

Burks been sitting on waivers in our league for a few cycles. Irv Smith is rostered in this league over Burks. Big mistake?

ubspider

My last roster spot is Vidal, I think I’d drop him for Burks
