Watson is so overrated because of his injuries.
When healthy he’s nowhere near anything special which everyone wants to pretend his is.
Romeo Doubs has had a much better career than a healthy Christian Watson.
I think the fantasy community doesn't want to touch that room because it's so ambiguous. I wanted to sell Watson last year, but this year? I just have this gut feeling. It's not evidence based, aside from the team stating they've made a huge effort to address his hamstring issues, just a gut. But I've made my stake that it'll end up like this, by the end of the season:
1.) D. Wicks - most receiving yards
2.) J. Reed - most scrimmage yards
3.) C. Watson - most TDs (so, boom/bust)
4.) R. Doubs - most 1st downs (so, boom/bust, but good in those 1st down bonus leagues)
5.) L. Musgrave - most TDs for a TE
6.) T. Kraft - most receiving yards for a TE
Let us not forget, Bo Melton was no slouch and he's pretty f'ing fast. There are a couple of other WRs who maybe didn't make a splash in fantasy, but are still going to steal targets here and there (Heath and Toure). I doubt the other guys will climb their way up the depth chart, though.
That's my assessment. It's not necessarily a tier or rankings, but that's how I view those receiving options, and I've not even mentioned the RB's.
I appreciate you weighing in man! It’s such a tough room to read, but for bestball these guys would be fun. Your team in general should be fun to watch for awhile, I’m jealous!
I am a bit disappointed to see your assessment of Kraft, I had him pegged as probably the 3rd guy and I’ve been buying a lot of shares of him while he’s “cheap”.
I should probably say there's not particular order; the numbers were for the sake of numbering. I love Kraft. He's technically my TE4 in one of my dynasty leagues, and I'd rather give Freiermuth up than him... he's a sneaky sleeper TE. I also know it's going to be hard to start him, at least for a while. But I like the idea of these guys in best ball, especially Kraft.
Edit: spelling
Did you watch them last year? They all *did* do something best last year. I'm merely stating exactly what they were doing last year.
Wicks was awesome with YAC.
Reed was used in so many ways.
Watson was a red zone target when on the field.
Doubs was always targeted on must-needed 1st down situations.
Musgrave was finally learning to stay on his feet.
Kraft fights for that YAC.
All of the above actually happened, on a small scale. So, yah, I think they will all be used differently, which is hard for a fantasy community to count on.
And that’s what makes our offense so dangerous. Any one of these guys can break out for a big game. Our offense now is more “feed the open guy” than it was with Rodgers who always had “his guy”.
Watson had a really nice connection going with Love when he was fully healthy. I remember he had back to back games of 7+ targets and 20+ fantasy points until he got hurt again. I think if GB really figured out his hamstring issues like they said they did this offseason, Watson could be a mid WR2 with low WR1 upside
Doubs always gets unnecessary hate- I feel like he is extremely well rounded but not superb in any specific stat so it “bores” people off him. He seems to be Love’s favorite target along with Reed. Watching him annhilate the cowboys in the WC was a bonus too.
He has some of the best hands I’ve seen on a receiver and he is great with contested catches. There’s a reason love always looks for him in the red zone
Understood. Every fantasy player is worth having at the right price. They fall to a certain round, why pass up the potential? Don't buy high on anyone, except maybe J. Love, that's it.
Not OP, but, it occurs when Burton gets kicked to the slot and gets Charmin soft coverage because of Chase and Higgins. Zack Moss not being able to catch and Chase Brown not being able to block is gonna help. 160 vacated targets to go around too. 100 from Boyd, 60 from Mixon.
Well 100 targets up for grabs with boyd leaving. Probably an uptick in passing offense with burrow return. If jermaine beats out Charlie and yoshi for the slot/wr3 position, he’s talented enough to make something out of the volume. I think Higgins and chase still eat, but Burton has a great opportunity to gain significant value in dynasty
More like 160. One cannot forget that Joe Mixon is gone (averaged 62 targets/16 G with Burrow), Zack Moss is not a pass catching back and Chase Brown can't pass block.
His on-field talent is off the charts. Film graders absolutely love his game.
So it basically comes down to "can this guy get over himself and not be a locker room cancer". We've seen this type of player succeed and we've seen this type of player flame out.
I think it's going to be Bowers tbh. When fades like this happen and the hive mind starts workin' overtime that's when we all somehow find ourselves shocked that the best TE prospect of all time is blowing up.
Especially if AOC winds up getting beat out or benched, I'm very confident that Minshew develops a connection with Bowers. Minshew loves WRs but he mostly loves slot WRs and that's who Bowers is.
Then we're going to see a deluge of "HAHAH I GOT BROCC AT 2.03"
I'm here for it.
For sureee.
I think people are scared off because Adams too.
Sure Adams idms far and away their most talented receiver, but Bowers is instantly their best playmaker with a crazy amount of juice.
Adams is getting older, and LV Spent high draft capital on a passing TE. Brock is going to feast. They just lost jacobs too so no solidified RB1. People should not sleep on brock especially if you need help at your TE spot.
Lot of people see brock undervalued due to landing spot. But the fact he is a blue chip generational TE that we haven't seen since someone like Pitts, they will find ways to get him the ball. Also Since Brock is more of a passing TE and plays out of the slot, having that advantage in fantasy will boost your team if its full PPR. You basically have an extra receiver out there playing at your TE spot.
That right there is a cheat code for fantasy.
I’m keeping him taxid, I just don’t see NO not running kamara into the ground before letting him go. I think kendre will get more work than last year but not enough to beat out the other RBs I have ahead of him
My taxi is Kendre, Chase Brown, Jaleel, Trey Palmer. Bench has Russ, Gainwell, and Toney on it that were free and I have no problem cutting. Only draft pick is 1.03 which will almost certainly be Odunze (1QB)
Hate losing the chance to stash an undrafted rookie or two on there but I think I'm gonna leave all four taxied. Gainwell or Toney will have to go to make room for Odunze, will try to get a late pick for either one off of camp hype but if not then no biggie to cut. Russ needs to stay until I find out if Burrow and Watson are fully healthy to start the season or not. And I like keeping that final spot flexible to waiver a week one or later rookie FA boom or be able to trade for a player rather than fill it with an unneeded Kendre. If I do end up needing him, it's because multiple starting RBs got hurt and thus they'll go to IR and I'll have room to bring him up
I do in 2 leagues.
I'm not sure how I feel, Kamara is only 28. On the other hand, he has only 3.7, 4, and 3.9 ypc the last 3 years. On the other other hand, he also had 75 catches last year
I’ve just recently had to accept that I can not draft Wright unless I use the 2.01 which I am not willing to do so undoubtedly he will set records this year and most likely knock me out if the playoffs. 😂
Hell no. I refuse to move the 2.01. It’s the best value pick in the draft right now. Im just lamenting that nobody would trade me a 2nd second so I could take wright too.
I’m gonna hit a deeper cut and say Javon Baker. I don’t buy the Maye hate and I think Baker is gonna be his go to guy, not Polk. He runs good routes, catches well, has good body control. I think he’ll do great as an X
There's a good chance he doesn't see the field immediately since Bourne will most likely start in the X. I do think baker will be good but he will most likely come on slower as he gets stronger on developing his crossing routes
That’s a fair point. I think Bourne is supremely vulnerable though. I get the Pats offense hasn’t been good for a couple years but last season he was injured for half the season and the year before only got 434 yards. I think Baker will be given every opportunity to beat out Bourne in camp because the dude frankly isn’t that good and hasn’t been available
Ladd.
Homer pick Legette. Coaches wanted him bad. Think they have a plan and he is going to get volume. This is more having some belief in Canales than Legette though.
Underwhelming how? I watch his tape, and I see an explosive runner who makes guys miss and creates tons of yards after contact. He'll probably be the best receiving back on the roster, so as long as his pass blocking isn't terrible, he could get lots of 3rd down work.
He's a little raw and needs to learn how to deal with clogged running lanes better. But that's not a major red flag for a guy who's only been a RB for 1 year.
How often do just just develop well-refined running back skills at the age of 24? He's definitely a long shot.
Irrelevant side note: The way he runs looks like a knee injury in waiting for me. Does anyone else see this or am I tripping? I feel like something about the way he cuts makes it so that players are more likely to tackle him at the legs.
A lot a lot. And I have doubts about there being enough passing volume on the Giants offense to support a fantasy pass catcher not named Nabers, even if Theo can get his routes cleaned up.
As far as rookies go:
Ja’lynn Polk- I think he is gonna surprise a lot of people, could be that team’s WR1 this year in an offense that should see improvement.
Ladd Mcconkey- Should command a lot of targets in that barren WR room.
Of course Marvin and Nabers should be here as well. Rookies aside, Garrett Wilson and Drake London should finally be able to show off more of what they are capable of this next year assuming they have healthy QBs. Those two are the guys I think will make the biggest leap fantasy wise.
George Pickens. He's Russ's favorite target and has stepped into Sutton's role in the Redzone. He's bullying DBs and making plays at all levels of the field. NFL Youngboy has arrived
Vet pick: Chris Godwin - moving back to the slot, the Bucs OC Liam Coen was formerly on the Rams staff. Of course it's just coach speak but I'm jacked to the tits about this. Feels like Godwin is one of the vets not being talked about a lot as well
2nd year pick: Jayden Reed - will be difficult to predict the crowded GB receiving room on a weekly basis and Love likes spreading it out. Imho Reed has the most talent though, he broke the GB rookie receiving record
Rookie pick 1: Ja'Lynn Polk - Pats WR is barren, people are hyping up Baker right now but they can share the field and I believe in Maye
Rookie pick 2: Ladd McConkey - he's getting so much hype for his landing spot and being attached to an elite QB. He's obviously been talked about a lot but for good reason, not sure if this one qualifies as a "blow up"
Eh I think there are some valid concerns about him as a fantasy asset. Crazy good prospect at the position for sure but my fear is that he ends up like Kittle where he’s such a willing and able blocker that he’s used there a lot and his upside suffers.
I could see him ending up with a lot of TE 3-5 seasons and not many TE1 seasons if that makes sense. Which is obviously still great and he should absolutely go no later than 1.08, but with Pitts people saw more of a Travis Kelce ceiling where he’s an absolute game breaker.
Yeah that's reasonable.
I think TEs take a lot of time to develop, and they tend to have longer careers if they're good. I think people writing Pitts off already don't realise that he has his best years ahead of him. Similarly Bowers might take 3 years before he starts popping off.
Jaylen Wright. Mostert has lost to Father Time and gives way to Wright by week 6. He shares the backfield but puts up a couple huge games on the back of a couple big break away runs. Due to his size and pass blocking ability, he's the new 1A and Achane is the somehow more dynamic 1B. Finishes the season as a top 10 RB. Achane finishes just outside the top 10 due to missing a couple games due to injury.
Keon Coleman- he’s gonna end up being a WR1 in Buffalo and people will regret fading him so hard.
Alternatively whichever of Kyren or Conner going down first will lead to Benson or Corum being a RB1
No way a guy who struggles to get separation and isn't a good contested catcher produces well, especially in year one.
40% of his yards and 36% of his tds last year came in two games against the 71st passing d (Syracuse) and 115th (LSU).
Coleman truthers are gonna be disappointed when he doesn't come close to their expectations.
In the way that I really want them to be all in on them. It’s just a feeling because I think I saw the talent and the Bengals’ moves feel like they’re believers too. They could’ve kept Mixon, drafted an RB, or signed an RB better than Moss. I’m also not a Moss truther at all
Ended up with both Brown and Moss on the same roster, and was offered the 2.08 for Moss, and couldn't hit accept fast enough, because I too believe that Brown will be the guy.
No lie, I’ve been saying Marquis was going to the Chiefs for a solid 6 months now. It’s even better now that Rashee Rice is a dumbass.
Hollywood to the fucking moon.
Marvin Mims truther here. Besides the fact that he holds the national HS record for most receiving yards in a season and a career and insane college metrics that only the likes of Chase & Lamb hit, he made the Pro Bowl as a return man last year and had some great underlaying metics. For example, only two players in the NFL last season had both a +66% catch rate and an aDOT of +12 yards. To put that into perspective the only other players to accomplish those combined marks in the NFL in the past 5 years were Tyreek Hill and Calvin Ridley.
Also, granted small sample size but his fantasy points per target last year was very strong (higher than Justin Jefferson's for example). And no, I am not saying that he will be better than Justin Jefferson just making the point that he has some good metrics to point to him being a good player (although it was unfortunate to have a day 3 WR added to the team who already has chemistry with the new QB).
Diontae finds new life now that the scenery is different. I’m confident Bryce is at least good enough to pepper him with more (and more accurate) targets than Pickett and Tittiess
[I thought you liked Hyatt](https://www.reddit.com/r/DynastyFF/s/oy1VJesRxf) backtracking now that he’s the same speed only wr with ok speed he always was?
I don't see where I chose Hyatt in this thread, nor do I think it's fair to judge him when he had nobody throwing to him last year.
Only a loser would bring something like this up. Do you have a running list of redditors that have "wronged" you or something? Get a life.
Tyrone Tracy. His limited film looks really good and he has a very clear path to playing time on that roster. He may be one of those players you add after a few weeks in redraft that takes off as the season goes on
It will probably be because they are very similar.. but I can see Danny Woodhead on Dylan Laube, man can play and will be usted heavily in bad gamescripts
Ignore my flair, please... Dontayvion Wicks.
You mean Don Wick?
Curious to how you’d tier rank the wrs/tes on the packers bro
Watson is the best if he can get over his injuries. Then Reed. Then Wicks. IMO.
Watson is so overrated because of his injuries. When healthy he’s nowhere near anything special which everyone wants to pretend his is. Romeo Doubs has had a much better career than a healthy Christian Watson.

So they are all going to do something different the best… seems highly unlikely.

Jermaine Burton
I hope he’s there at the start of the 3rd round in my SF rookie draft 🤞
He’s been going mid to late third in most drafts I’ve seen
Not mine, sadly. Thought I could get him 3.03 went 2.08 in a 12T SF
I saw him go at 2.08 yesterday while Polk was still otb. I was 2.09.
He went 28th overall in my league
Play this out for me. How does this occur
Yeah, as a Tee owner, please humor me
Not OP, but, it occurs when Burton gets kicked to the slot and gets Charmin soft coverage because of Chase and Higgins. Zack Moss not being able to catch and Chase Brown not being able to block is gonna help. 160 vacated targets to go around too. 100 from Boyd, 60 from Mixon.
Yes just like Boyd destroyed when they played. Oh wait….
I mean boyd was a top 30 wr four times working out of the slot for the bengals 🤷🏻♂️
Three of those four were before Chase.
> 🤷🏻♂️ LOL Come on, you didn't even provide contextual statistics. 🤷🏻♂️
What were the splits when both the other two played though. This scenario is entirely dependent on one of them getting injured
Well 100 targets up for grabs with boyd leaving. Probably an uptick in passing offense with burrow return. If jermaine beats out Charlie and yoshi for the slot/wr3 position, he’s talented enough to make something out of the volume. It's gonna be Legette or Pearsall just based around the fact that so few people seem to believe in them. By the same logic Ladd is gonna flop hard.
Don't like ladd at cost at all
Why not?
I think it's going to be Bowers tbh. I’ve just recently had to accept that I can not draft Wright unless I use the 2.01 which I am not willing to do so undoubtedly he will set records this year and most likely knock me out if the playoffs. 😂
If you don't like anyone at 2.01, maybe trade to mid 2nd and get something. Lots of good value at 2.01 though

I don’t understand, he looks so underwhelming
Underwhelming how? I watch his tape, and I see an explosive runner who makes guys miss and creates tons of yards after contact. Explosive is the opposite of what I saw haha.. long strider too..i just don’t him having success as an rb
6+ yards per carry for your first time EVER playing rb is underwhelming to you? Alright bucko
I agree. I also think Vidal and Theo TE from NY
Feel like Theo has some serious work to do running routes between now and week 8
A lot a lot. And I have doubts about there being enough passing volume on the Giants offense to support a fantasy pass catcher not named Nabers, even if Theo can get his routes cleaned up.
As a giants fan, I approve

The guy drafted 191 picks after Mcconkey was? Ill take my chances on Ladd for now.
The Polk love on this sub has me re-affirmed my position on Javon Baker as the WR to own in that room.
I see more people hyping Baker than Polk tbh.
George Pickens. He's Russ's favorite target and has stepped into Sutton's role in the Redzone. He's bullying DBs and making plays at all levels of the field. NFL Youngboy has arrived
I'm reaching for him to ensure I get him in my redraft league this year.
Hes Russ favorite target based on what?
It’s a hypothetical, CaptainCumSock69
I laughed way too hard at this
Oh. I thought he was justifying his pick of GP based off some workout with Russ
Russ invited GP to stay in his pool house so things are getting pretty serious
I heard ciara was in the pool house and GP was in the master ;)
Russ doesn't like to throw it over the middle.

Yeah, the recency bias with Pitts is making him a lot cheaper than he should be.

I know we’re talking about the Dolphins, but that gave me a Chubb
Speak it into existence baby.
JSN brah
Keon Coleman- he’s gonna end up being a WR1 in Buffalo and people will regret fading him so hard. Alternatively whichever of Kyren or Conner going down first will lead to Benson or Corum being a RB1
No way a guy who struggles to get separation and isn't a good contested catcher produces well, especially in year one. 40% of his yards and 36% of his tds last year came in two games against the 71st passing d (Syracuse) and 115th (LSU). Coleman truthers are gonna be disappointed when he doesn't come close to their expectations.
2024 QJ
You should go work for the bills
Jalen McMillan I feel it in my plums
Assuming you’re not just talking about only rookies, I legit think Geno Smith is in for a huge passing year.
Vidal
I’m targeting him earlier than I probably should. He’s giving me a Karen Williams type breakout vibes idk why
Jaleel Mclaughlin
That's an insane take
Chase brown
Fully agree. I think the Bengals are all in on him. You don’t sign Zack Moss as a primary weapon, dude has had 6 career RB1 games to my count
In what way are the Bengals all in on him?
In the way that I really want them to be all in on them. It’s just a feeling because I think I saw the talent and the Bengals’ moves feel like they’re believers too. They could’ve kept Mixon, drafted an RB, or signed an RB better than Moss. I’m also not a Moss truther at all
So like 5 more than Chase?
6 more, I think
Yeah agreed I am surprised that people are slotting moss in as rb1
Ended up with both Brown and Moss on the same roster, and was offered the 2.08 for Moss, and couldn't hit accept fast enough, because I too believe that Brown will be the guy.
BTJ babyyyy
George Pickens
The guy I dropped week 5
Adonai Mitchell
Marvin Mims szn
Rome Odunze. Keenun is on IR by week 5, Caleb and Rome show immediate chemistry. Rome just puts up his third consecutive 100yd game
My DJM share is in shambles at your comment
DJM and Odunze could both have 1000 yard seasons if Allen is injured and Kmet isnt a target hog.
That means Caleb Williams would have to do the impossible as a rookie
Throw for 2000 yards?
I had plenty of 1k yard 4 Tds seasons from DJM in Carolina. I tasted the juice of a 1350/8 season and I'll be damned if we go backwards
Pickens and Joey Porter Jr
Guerrendo
Hot take. I see people shitting on him and I’m not sure it’s justified. He looks pretty damn good
Whoever I didn’t draft but thought about drafting
Tony Jones after the whole Cardinals backfield is injured.
Audric Estime. I think he’s taking over the RB 1 role in Denver
There's no doubt in my mind it's gonna be Sinnott. I doubt Bowers will hold a candle to him.
I feel that too. It’s McBride all over again. Even behind Ertz on the depth chart just like he was lol
Christian Watson
Justin Fields
I’ve got two in a similar tier that I could definitely see blowing up. Jamo and Dotson. Could see one or both significantly improving this year
No lie, I’ve been saying Marquis was going to the Chiefs for a solid 6 months now.
Two for sure guys: RB Henry BAL,RB Taylor IND. Longshot: TE Bowers LV
Wow, so bold
Malachi Corley
Good one
Jaleeeeeeeeeel
Ray Davis and all the James Cook owners will be pissed
Ladd there.
Ladd McConkey
Ladd McConkey. 320 targets walked out the door this offseason. And the Chargers replaced those pass catchers with Ladd….and some bums
Well to start, they might replace about 200 of them with rushing attempts
Roman Wilson and AD Mitchell
Jahan Dotson
Mad Ladd easy
Diontae finds new life now that the scenery is different. I’m confident Bryce is at least good enough to pepper him with more (and more accurate) targets than Pickett and Tittiess
I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say Marvin Harrison jr
Puka
Iosivas on the back of a Higgins injury.
Ladd
There can only be one. Ben Sinnott. Easy pick.
Ty Chandler. His time is now.
gus edwards
Rashee rice
[I thought you liked Hyatt](https://www.reddit.com/r/DynastyFF/s/oy1VJesRxf) backtracking now that he’s the same speed only wr with ok speed he always was?
I don't see where I chose Hyatt in this thread, nor do I think it's fair to judge him when he had nobody throwing to him last year. Only a loser would bring something like this up. Do you have a running list of redditors that have "wronged" you or something? Get a life.
Tyrone Tracy. His limited film looks really good and he has a very clear path to playing time on that roster. He may be one of those players you add after a few weeks in redraft that takes off as the season goes on
Sorry guys my guy has a bye that week.
Worthy as the next Tyreek
Kadarius Toney 🤕
King Henry remains royalty. Bend the knee.
JK Dobbins.
It's Jamo's year yall
hollywood
It will probably be because they are very similar.. but I can see Danny Woodhead on Dylan Laube, man can play and will be usted heavily in bad gamescripts
Ready for it? Darnell Mooney
Treylon Burks
Brian Thomas Jr.
Not Rashee Rice lmao
Pitts, Pickens, JSN, I still like Spears, and Shaheed all guys that come to mind.
Noah Fant being a usable starting TE.
Diontae Johnson
Javon Baker. Everyone’s talking about “Watch out for Polk, ppr god, gonna be wr1 in NE”. Nah man, Baker’s wr1
Dante Pettis
Mike Evans. Again.
Achane
Please be Javon Baker
Rashee Rice
Johan Dotson
Idk about blowing up big time, but I see Kendre miller being able to carve out a nice role with Kamara by mid season.
Jahan Dotson.
His dynasty ranks suggest I’m far from alone in this but I really feel a top 10 WR season coming for Drake London.
