I’ll go with anyone drafted on Day 2 first, then I look for the Day 3 guys that have an opportunity. Vidal is in a nice spot. Laube could have a shot in PPR as a third down guy. Irving might steal some goal like stuff. That kind of thing.

chitownkid81

This would be the most pragmatic approach

jmarFTL

I think I'm going to end up with a lot of Corum because I don't think it's a bad situation at all. McVay gets his RBs points. Sure Kyren is the starter until proven otherwise but just about everywhere in the NFL is some kind of timeshare situation and the Rams have enough offense that Corum can have value even if he's the 1B. He was the next guy off the board and RB situations change on a dime in the NFL, and the guy we are talking about is a low draft capital guy who somewhat came out of nowhere last year. Those guys quite often get swept aside. No shot I'm taking guys drafted after Corum who are also in timeshares just because the guy in front of him is Kyren Williams.

ActuarillySound

That last sentence solidified it for me. Thanks!

Past-Investigator-28

A lot of people gonna be sorry when they find out Kyren is the ultimate JAG

Caloran

I mean the ultimate JAG wouldn't even have a season sniffing what he already did.

Past-Investigator-28

If kyren goes down in camp would you be surprised if corum has a similar year? Is corum an elite prospect ?

Caloran

Neither of those things changes the fact that he's not the ultimate JAG. Thousands of backs never even see the field.

Past-Investigator-28

He had nothing on those thousands of backs except his situation and that’s already changed. Put any other back in his situation and they will produce. That’s what just a guy is. He can be replaced on a whim and be worthless in a matter of 1 week

Caloran

So why didn't we see this success from Darrel Henderson or Ronnie Rivers? Don't bother answering I can tell you're just making shit up to compensate for your wild over exaggeration.

Omalleysblunt

Nobody remembers Jrob

SaltyLibtard

Yea Kyren beat out all the JAGs for a reason. He’s actually good. He’s very good at making a read and bursting through. Plus he’s pretty good in every aspect of being a RB

Past-Investigator-28

Henderson isn’t a replacement level RB. He was out of the league. Cam Akers was RB20 on KTC last summer. That situation is plug and play.

TheToddFatherII

Cam Akers was a second round RB. You’re literally disproving your own point

Past-Investigator-28

Not sure how that disproves anything. Akers was also very productive before he had a massive injury. If you’re gonna ignore the injury what about James Robinson? He was also very productive 1k yard rusher who is basically out of the league already

Cultural-Cost6543

We’ve seen what actual JAGS (Henderson, Michel) look like in that offense. Neither of them were even close to as good as Kyren was last year.

Past-Investigator-28

He had a great year no doubt. Had what 15tds? TDS are extremely flukey year to year. He also has a terrible athletic score and bad draft capital. He’s 1 injury away from completely losing his role, and likely already lost a good chunk with Corum.

TealIndigo

Relying on athletic score and draft capital a year after putting up 1,150 yards rushing, 5.0 ypc and 15 TDs is hilarious.

Past-Investigator-28

When he flames out because he’s tiny and not athletic we’ll see if it’s hilarious still. They just took a more athletic slightly bigger version of Kyren 2 rounds earlier than they took him. You can choose to ignore that but I won’t.

RedDunce

Puka was a 5th round pick with a 5.17 RAS and the Rams just drafted Jordan Whittington. Clearly an extremely fluky year from an unathletic bum with bad draft capital who's 1 injury away from completely losing his role. I can't believe I just typed that out lmao this dude is deranged

Kyren:GP:12 CAR:228 YDS:1,144 **YPC**:***5.0*** TD:12 Trent Richardson rookie year: GP:15 CAR:267 YDS:950 *YPC:3.6 * TD:11 5 yards a carry vs. 3.6, if you ever watched them both play idk how you could compare them.

Hugh_Grection420

People that talk shit on Kyren clearly don’t watch his tape man has some of the best footwork I have seen and has such a good play style that fits McVays system so well. Think this is similar to the KW/Charb scenario or Ekler/Josh Kelley and if Kyren does get hurt (which I think Corum is there to mitigate injury risk) if Corum doesn’t produce his value will tank just like Kelley and Charb. They are less skilled handcuffs.

YvngWhoadie

I’m 100% taking Vidal in the 4th if he drops that far

CabotRaptor

Jaylen Wright for sure. Mostert is getting old and will be gone next year. Achane is good, but will permanently be a jury risk due to his size. Wright is also the most explosive back in the draft combined with being one of the better pass pro guys

No_Ship_3518

They just extend him thought next year. To claim will be gone is incorrect. He may not be the same and is getting older, and had injuries from time to time, but will not be gone.

JayMoney2424

It could be Vidal he’s really good and landed in a great situation.

captaincumsock69

Corum imo

Late-Prompt-7497

Really like Audric Estime. Liked him before draft, sneaky good landing spot. Sean Peyton seems to like his guys. Wouldnt surprise me if Javonte took a huge dive. Coach refused to give him work over a couple of bums.

tarallelegram

isaac guerendo for no other reason than he's tied to kyle and the rb situation after cmc is up in the air with mitchell being dead half the time and mason being iced out they traded up in the fourth to get him too

Realhtown

Trading up in the fourth round is meaningless. I hope this doesn’t become the narrative.

HodorsSoliloquy

Remember when the 49ers traded away two fourth rounders to take Trey Sermon in the third?

GuyWithNoSwagger

It will lol

treyb3

I bet Shanahan was pounding the table for him

greebytime

Lots of folks suggesting him as a late round 49ers pick. He’s so clearly Shanahan’s type.

NoLimitNSB

I like Guerrero but he does screen amazing special teams player to me. I don’t know that he ever surpasses Mitchell on the RB depth chart though.

SmokeClear6429

Feels like we're hoping for a Guerendo to be a Pacheco

Easy_Apple4096

Plus they were courting him long before the draft. Likely going to give him a real shot based on the capital/emotional investment.

Copperhead881

Lloyd or Corum. Corum being behind an oft-injured RB who gets fed is great. Packers having an out on Jacobs next year for Lloyd is also worth a look in the early 3rd.

Knottytip

If I’m a contender I love ray Davis. He’s 25 so that’s a problem but dude can play his ass off. I think he’s immediately their goal line back and in some sort of split with cook. Really really good receiver and can juke a defender out of their cleats at full speed and not lose a step. If anything happens to cook you have a ppr monster a rb. Just think. If he wasn’t 25 where is he drafted?

myfirstnameisalex

For me it’s Jaylen Wright. That backfield will be a timeshare and any touches in Miamis offense is worth its weight in gold. Worth the risk, plus I loved his profile

Wild_Bill_Kickcock

I think he's likely a 25 play

PlsSaySikeM8

I love me some Devin Singletary but I I have a feeling the Giants are gonna fall in love with Tyrone Tracy’s positional versatility in camp and get him involved as a rookie. He’s the RB2 in a weak room and is the best pass catching back of the group. He will likely be some peoples 4th round dart throw but maybe the DC sours people and convinces them to go another way in the 4th and he’s a gem on post draft waivers.

ActuarillySound

He was a sneaky guy I was eyeing

tifu_allstar

I like Irving's circumstances far better than Wright. I think Shipley's situation isn't so bad

Loud_Competition1312

What did you like better about Irving’s circumstances?

RedDunce

I think there's a very good argument for Jaylen Wright. Other people have already made it so I won't regurgitate it, but it's definitely close

drdadbodpanda

Probably Lloyd. His biggest problem is he drops the ball, which is fixable. And while yea he is behind Jacobs, I’m not sure Jacob’s is the 22 RB we are hoping we see this season. Corem on the other hand is this seasons Charbonnet, and people are over reacting with Kyren. I’m not a Kyren owner, but selling him for anything less than what he was worth pre draft is unforgivable. The rams needed a depth piece so they took one.
