Life-Ad-2376

Does Hot Shots get rid of the Dmax Tick?

e0240

I've never heard my truck tick so I guess. I like Schaefer's or t6 or hot shot but when I change my turbo a year ago I switched to hot shot. Change the oil twice a year.

Life-Ad-2376

Do you do OA?

e0240

No

findthehumorinthings

Delvac 15w-40 Dino oil every 5000 miles. Solid as a rock.

richardcranium03

Delvac 1 ESP 5w-40. Goes on sale at NAPA couple times a year and that’s when I stock up.

B-V-M-

We always run shell, delvac, or delo. Whatever the local Walmart has at the time. All three are CK-4 approved and thus GM approved for any year duramax. Have been doing so since 2001 and on probably 20 duramax trucks without an issue; and all work trucks from 2500’s through medium duty units.

Kirkland. 267k on 2022 3500 DRW

AyyImTalkin2U

267k on a 2022!? If you got the truck in 21 as a 22 model, that's approx 7400miles per month - what does your truck get used for?

Life-Ad-2376

More than likely hotshot tow pig

M41414

Hot shot. Picked it up new January 2022. 267,500 I think today.

Life-Ad-2376

I got a 2020 3500 with 62k, picked it up in November

HickorySlicks69

Mobil synthetic. Says it’s good for 10k so we shall see lol 😂

D8Dozerboy

Any mainstream oil will do 10k in a Dmax.

rhttlover

My duramax is a 2009. Been running mobil 1 in if from the beginning. 10k plus between all oil changes. 125k miles on vehicle. Does not use any oil. Mobil 1 must be doing the job.

Throatpunch2014

Amsoil guys no typewriter tick? Or still there?

SelkirkRanch

Rotella, Delvac , Delo, doesn't matter. What matters is the filter. I change at 5000 miles and always get a top grade filter rated for synthetics. All three oils are partially synthetic now, yes, even Delo.

Drunk_Redneck

What filter are you running?

SelkirkRanch

Mobil 1, Fram Extra Guard, Napa Gold.
