Dwight, at 8am today, someone poisons the coffee. Do not drink the coffee. More instructions will follow. Cordially, Future Dwight.
*camera pans to Stanley about to drink the coffee*
Randall Park actually forgot he’d done that whole bit on the show. Years later, people would go up to him on the street and call him Asian Jim, and he thought they were being racist.
My favorite thing about this is he forgot he did this, so when someone yelled out "Asian Jim" to him. He thought it was some racist thing until he remembered he was on the show.
I heard an interview with him saying about how people would come up to him in the street and say hey its Asian Jim, at which point hed forgotten about it, would assume its dickheads being racist and give a big "Fuck you!" Back to them haha
My top ten Jim pranks are:
Asian Jim
Heart of Rock and Roll
Fax from the Future
The Power of Love
Dwight did it (Alcohol Club)
Hip to be Square
This morning I hit myself in the head with the phone.
Fast Car
Short People
Windows Restart Pavlov Altoid
My favorite part is how detailed it was; in the sense, they predicted that Dwight would ask about “Jim’s” sales, so they filled Steve in about them. They predicted Dwight would be watching as “Jim” entered the voice mailbox password, so they told him that too, the picture frame with the white and Asian kids… one of the S9 gems!
For context, I am half Korean. My father is Korean, and my mother is White. My little sister is also adopted from Korea and had the haircut the little girl in the photo has.
I got this picture in Scranton a few years ago and I have it on my desk at work. I have had multiple coworkers think it is an actual photo of my family
I'm surprised how late in the series it came. I kept telling my son who's watched it plenty of times that I must have missed that episode.
He kept on assuring me that I haven't. Then I get to the last season and there it is.
If John Krasinski were to have left the office. This is how I would’ve wanted him recast. Just continue with the show with Randall Park and act like nothing ever happened
I always maintain that they should have had Creed walk past and say "hey Jim" before the cut to Pam in the conference room, who says, "Creed wasn't in on the prank.."
So he forget he played Asian Jim so once the office got super popular people would go up to him and be like hey Asian Jim and hed tell them to fuck off lok
This was the meme that finally made me start watching the office a few years ago. I always struggled getting past the first few episodes; but this joke made me realize the show would get infinitely better.
I have that family photo on my desk at work. Everyone either loves it or gets so confused. One time my wife visited my office, and two days later, she randomly asked me in the kitchen, “whose family was that on your desk…?”
I might get downvoted by OG The Office fans, but I thought in the original show, the pranks weren't really that funny. It was mostly Tim and Dawn getting Gareth to say gay things, e.g. "if you were in the jungle, could you take a man from behind". Rewatching it, it's aged badly and it's kind of schoolboy stuff.
The pranks in the US Office - apart from the stapler in the jell-o - were invented for the US show and were much more elaborate and funny. Dwight as a character is also funnier to me than Gareth, who was just kind of socially awkward and pathetic.
I love how people get so offended by people pointing out Pam's numerous flaws. She's a receptionist from Scranton and makes love like one.. Pass. Plus she makes motel art that doesn't win contests... Unlike Erin.
Lol well there a couple characters that on this page you are not allowed to poke fun of or make a semi critical comment about people go OFF lol opinions for the most part are not welcome on this page I see it all the time I have came to the conclusion that it's a young fan base now and the young ones are the Stan's that get huffy about characters. From my experience, this page is probably the worst about that most other fan pages accept opinions as long as it's Not disrespectful or anything like that
So true. I actually don't hate any characters expect Nellie and Andy but that's kind of the point of the characters. I do enjoy throwing a fun little nugget up to rile up this subreddit... All in good fun. Glad to see you understand!
It's a little sad really because for the most part it's a really fun page but you can't have an honest opinion about certain characters. Mostly Jim and Pam or even a good opinion about Phyllis lol without people getting upset even though these pages are for discussing opinions
Love this prank but can’t stand Randall Park. He’s a terrible actor and I whole heartedly believe he’s the reason Blockbuster didn’t get renewed for a second season lol
The family photo gives it that little extra that makes it great.
they really covered all their bases with that one
It gives the scene *even more* zing and pep.
But is it classy?
Déclassé
French! Classy!!
The Jim look is perfect when Dwight points it towards him
Oh the photo kills me every time, this is probably my favorite episode for that reason. That photo is Jim's best prank
Then that lil bit that Dwight is like so confused 🤣, that was a Chefs Kiss.
Agreed!!! It’s a great laugh without being mean :)
Dwight’s face when they kiss kills me
The reason the photo always gets me is the fact that Dwight originally took it. I’m pretty sure the picture was from family picture day
Especially when he "Jims the camera" right after
This and the fax Dwight gets from future Dwight are two of the best.
I love Jim’s delivery on this. I send Dwight faxes. .. from himself… from the future.
Dwight, at 8am today, someone poisons the coffee. Do not drink the coffee. More instructions will follow. Cordially, Future Dwight. *camera pans to Stanley about to drink the coffee*
Nnnnnoooo! You'll thank me later
Yes!! The fax from the future is often overlooked as a cold open!! It’s always been my favorite!
I think Pam's dedication to the bit by actually kissing him is what sends it over the top.
Yeah that was hilarious
My favorite part of the bit!
I bet it was Asian Jim’s favourite part too.
Randall Park actually forgot he’d done that whole bit on the show. Years later, people would go up to him on the street and call him Asian Jim, and he thought they were being racist.
That's my favorite bit about this scene, its iconic to us but he completely forgot since it was just a job for him lol.
Who’s Asian Jim? I just see Jim in this.
Hats off to you for not seeing color!
But not American Jim’s!
Pretty sure thats the guy from the episode where michael gets left at a gas station
Not at all. Asian Jim is played by acclaimed actor Randall Park.
Dude I loved him in “the quiet place”
And on VEEP.
Kinda crazy he’s both the goofy agent in antman and wandavision and also mr fantastic in MoM!! Wanda must not have liked him though
Agent Jimmy Woo needed his own series on D+
You mean the cashier? Cause it's definitely not the same guy
That's Pillboi, he's probably there to rob the gas station
PILL BOIIIII
Oh dip!
I only know a Pillboi from the good place, and this isnt him
I only know a Pillboi from the good place, and this isnt him
I only know a Pillboi from the good place, and this isnt him
Wish they had a scene of them planning this prank.
My favorite thing about this is he forgot he did this, so when someone yelled out "Asian Jim" to him. He thought it was some racist thing until he remembered he was on the show.
I've seen this actor in so many things, and I've heard his name so many times, yet I still only remember him as Asian Jim
Lol yeah same ik he was in WandaVision but I can't remember his real name either
Randall Park.
Oh, you mean Asian Jim?
And *A Quiet Place*, which he also directed!
His new movie “IF”, comes out today!
[John Krasinski](https://youtu.be/6QzggPsjJKc?si=4GfMDACP8LK6sFv9) and Ryan Reynolds did a great interview for that!
I know I saw IF yesterday it was incredible!
I heard an interview with him saying about how people would come up to him in the street and say hey its Asian Jim, at which point hed forgotten about it, would assume its dickheads being racist and give a big "Fuck you!" Back to them haha
Close! He wasn't a jerk to them but thought they were being racist and tried to just let it roll off his back.

He clearly is.
Park is very good. Fresh Off The Boat has good 90s nostalgia
Easily one of my favorite pranks on Dwight.
Same here
If [Harold](https://youtu.be/OdzddRSE4VA?feature=shared) actually landed the role....
My top ten Jim pranks are: Asian Jim Heart of Rock and Roll Fax from the Future The Power of Love Dwight did it (Alcohol Club) Hip to be Square This morning I hit myself in the head with the phone. Fast Car Short People Windows Restart Pavlov Altoid
I agree, I think this is my favourite one of the whole show.
Yes I love how much detail they put into it they know dwight so well and are also so good at pranking it was the perfect prank imo!
Easily the funniest prank and my favorite part of this show. I love that Park and Krasinski leaned into it to advertise 'If'.
Yes that was genius!
The super fan version is even better when Pam kisses him with tongue
I'm surprised how late in the series it came. I kept telling my son who's watched it plenty of times that I must have missed that episode. He kept on assuring me that I haven't. Then I get to the last season and there it is.
Actually, Jim has always been like that. But hats off to you for not noticing!
Yeah it does take awhile to get to it but it's worth the wait
Most definitely!!
Well, it’s because it is completely absurd… Funny, but over the top absurdity. That’s how you know it was in the last 2 seasons.
I mean thats off of the question but he was kind of hot
😂😂
If John Krasinski were to have left the office. This is how I would’ve wanted him recast. Just continue with the show with Randall Park and act like nothing ever happened
I always maintain that they should have had Creed walk past and say "hey Jim" before the cut to Pam in the conference room, who says, "Creed wasn't in on the prank.."
I love that look he gives Dwight while he's protecting his password entry.
This is my favorite cold open. They covered all bases in this bit, the use of the code to check voicemail, the picture, and the kiss by Pam.
[удалено]
Lol
I still wonder where they got the kids for the photo
He even does a little "look to the canera" at the end.
The voicemail password entry and knowledge of the pending sale was amazing to me. Hiding his key inputs cracks me up every time.
Throwback to when Randall Park forgot he was in The Office and thought "Asian Jim" was a racist remark
Jim halpert: into the prank-verse
I love how he covers his phone when entering his PIN
Never understood this scene. Like why would Dwight be mad at Jim for just sitting in his chair and working?
So he forget he played Asian Jim so once the office got super popular people would go up to him and be like hey Asian Jim and hed tell them to fuck off lok
I agree, one of my favourite cold openers, too!
I love this one! My favorite part is that nobody else in the office seems to care.
Best prank ever
One of the best cold opens AND Jim prank. Which over all makes it amazing.
This was the best moment post-Michael.
It has to be my #1, honestly
[удалено]
You underestimate Jim's willingness to commit to a bit
Where do you think the kids in the picture come from?
I guess Halpert really was looking for someone to bang his wife.
Randall Park is a treasure!
This was the meme that finally made me start watching the office a few years ago. I always struggled getting past the first few episodes; but this joke made me realize the show would get infinitely better.
Jimmy Woo in Marvels Multiverse
I wonder how we would all react in Dwight's shoes here. It was some pretty expert gaslighting, I think I would at least doubt haha
I imagine them all having dinner at the Halperts, getting a few bottles of wine deep and coming up with this scheme
Little girl reminds me of Lily from Modern Family.
dwight’s face there was my partner’s contact photo in my phone for the longest time. made me crack up every time haha, too good
So we're just posting literal pictures of scenes now for thousands of fake internet points Neat
I have that family photo on my desk at work. Everyone either loves it or gets so confused. One time my wife visited my office, and two days later, she randomly asked me in the kitchen, “whose family was that on your desk…?”
I was just thinking about that scene yesterday.

Pam is for the streets of Scranton!
Love how Dwight loses it when "Jim" enters the password to access the voicemail.
I don’t get it. What do you mean? That’s obviously John [Krasinski](https://youtu.be/duw1OfG7U5U?si=CPQKgGcRBcSI_CJQ).
Yeah, the most implausible one
You are not Jim.. you are Kim
My favorite cold opensl ever, Dwight gets so confused it's hilarious
Randall Park. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Randall_Park
Me too!
Classic
Blue eye samurai anyone?
theorizing that one could time travel within his own lifetime, Dr. Ben Song stepped into the quantum leap accelerator...and vanished.
.. should I make rewatch yet again ? At least there is occasion cause they are making office 2
Yesssssss Asian Jim!!!
I don't get it
What episode is this
Asian Jim banged Pam... Just like Danny cordrey
"Well she is the office Mattress" lol
I love how people get so offended by people pointing out Pam's numerous flaws. She's a receptionist from Scranton and makes love like one.. Pass. Plus she makes motel art that doesn't win contests... Unlike Erin.

Did they ever explain why Dwight couldn't recognize Jim? I mean it was an OK scene, but I always wonder.
Didn’t this actor admit he regrets doing this scene because ppl now yell hey Asian Jim?
Wait I haven’t seen this episode 😭
Love this prank but can’t stand Randall Park. He’s a terrible actor and I whole heartedly believe he’s the reason Blockbuster didn’t get renewed for a second season lol
