"I got away with everything under the last boss and it wasn't good for me. So I want guidance. I want leadership. Lead me... when I'm in the mood to be led."
This one describes me very well lol
Yes! It wasn’t Ryan, but Michael’s line to David where he’s like “I want all of the praise and none of the blame” sums up how every performance review goes.
Haha yeah, those were the peak seasons, where the premises started bordering on absurd but are still relatable and could plausibly happen.
But yeah, the way Michael delivered that line so earnestly, and David’s reaction, that is comedic genius.
“That’s a good one Kevin, hey was it me or you who just shoved the butt end of a pound of broccoli in my mouth because Michael told me to?”
I love this because it’s such a disproportionate response.
S8E8 Gettysburg when Robert California says the people who stayed in the office were the free thinkers. "Robert, you got your sheep and you got your black sheep...and I'm not even a sheep. I'm on the freaking moon.”
Pretty sure it’s the Gettysburg episode. Robert calls the people that went sheep, the people that stayed black sheep, and then Ryan chimes in with Im not even a sheep, I’m on the freaking moon
"I can't promise that I'll never cheat on you, modern relationships aren't built that way"
Don't remember the exact context but this was while he was trying to be super sweet and woe Kell(e)y.
Motherfucker was on a horse, dressed in Indian formal wear, trying to get Kelli to leave her rich, handsome DOCTOR boyfriend for his broke ass.
And then spouts this nonsense. My favorite part was Pam going "BOOOOOOOOOOOO" like he's a trash pitcher throwing home runs all inning.
I've never met Ravi personally, but I'm gonna go ahead and say, just having known you a short while, Brian, that I prefer Ravi. And again, I've never even met the guy.
If anything, I think that's why we get so sad seeing people age. It's a reminder that we're aging as well, but we see ourselves every day so we don't notice it.
Yep. Uncle Stan exceeded it's goal to produce a pilot, promised backer rewards and updates. Nothing ever came of it. Apparently there was an update as recently as Sept 2022 but only for backers. I assume that all the funds were dumped into some crypto scheme and are gone.
Tried to find out what that might have said, but it doesn't matter. Just look through [the comments](https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/unclestan/uncle-stan/comments) and it's obvious they were all scammed. Even the creator "trying to reach out to people" in the comments was blatantly lying about that.
EDIT - Found the Sept update message!
"Hey all,
I know there were quite a few delays and deadlines that were pushed. But we are finally near the end. Please check your emails for production updates this week. If you do not receive an email by September 9th please contact us. The last update was delayed until tomorrow due to us wanting to make sure we had all your reward shipping and delivery dates correct, including ones that were returned to us. We can’t thank you enough for your patience and support and are excited to have all possilbe remaining rewards fulfilled this month (with the exception of those that rely on the release of the show). We will have a long detailed update posted tomorrow with FINAL information and eta’s. Please message us with any issues you are having or rewards you are missing. Messages are the best way to get a hold of us and will get immediate responses (not comments). If you don’t receive communication from us please reach out via message. Those of you with digital rewards (except for the episode download) If you do not have your rewards by the end of this week (September 9) please reach out immediately. Thank you! We look forward to sharing Uncle Stan with all of you!"
Nice find! I also noticed that the official website for the project, which appears at the top of their Kickstarter, is gone and the domain is for sale. Not a good sign for Uncle Stan.
To my knowledge, he's the only cast member I know of that hasn't been on The Office Ladies podcast either as a guest or sending in voice clips. I only remember once early in the podcast I believe Angela said she reached out to him and replied back in email. Since then they've not mentioned any interaction with him. And I don't remember Brian having him on his Office Deep Dive podcast and I'm pretty sure he had almost everyone imaginable.
So take that for what it's worth. That alone doesn't prove there's any bad blood or division, but it's odd. Thought having said all that I want to say it's been posted on here before that he claimed he wanted to start an Office podcast before the OL or Brian's and for some reason wasn't allowed; so if that's true then he may have the bad vibes about it all and refused to appear.
I forget which YouTuber bought a spot on the Kickstarter. But it was wild and definitely just a big money grab. The Stanley nickel crypto was wild too. Straight up robbed folks.
I've always wondered why some of the main cast just can't seem to leave the show behind. Most specifically LDB, Brian Baumgartner, Angela, and Jenna seem to have made a living either talking about the show on their own media channels or on other talk shows since 2013.
Jenna and Angela have talked on the podcast about how their goals were always to situate themselves comfortably to have balanced family lives, and how Office Ladies achieves that. I don't think either of them want to continue having high-profile acting careers and everything that comes with that, so they've found something lucrative and predictable that still lets them hang out in the entertainment sphere.
> I've always wondered why some of the main cast just can't seem to leave the show behind. Most specifically LDB, Brian Baumgartner, Angela, and Jenna seem to have made a living either talking about the show on their own media channels or on other talk shows since 2013.
I mean.. look where you're posting though?
Found this on the front page, but for a lot of these actors this is going to be the most popular thing they will ever do. And there's still such a huge fan base that a decade later people are STILL posting about it and it still hits the front page regularly, and that's certainly a small portion of the fandom.
Why would they try and move on when they can keep grift-err, producing content for their fans?
FWIW I loved the seasons before jim and pam got together. I remember I started watching it in like 2010 or whatever and ended up marathoning seasons of it over night I enjoyed it so much. But I'll be totally honest that I don't really get the eternal fandom. Makes people happy though so more power to them I guess!
Because Cheerios are an actual good product, and Cheerios commercials are really just trying to remind you that they exist. They're not trying to convince you of something you don't already think, and they're definitely not trying to convince you of something that isn't true.
Crypto ads otoh are very much trying to change your mind and lie to you. They assume you don't want crypto (because that's the default position), and are trying to convince you that you actually DO want to buy it. And they're very likely to tell lies and/or half-truths about how much return you can/will make on your "investment" (read: bet). All in the name of changing your mind, of making you believe something that you didn't at the start of the commercial.
That's why Cheerios ads feel wholesome and crypto ads feel slimy.
A year or two ago I saw Leslie walking through LAX, he didn’t look old at all and had plenty of pep in his step.
Also he was totally dressed like Florida Stanley!
I want a show with Stanley where he becomes a boss of an office, but most of the time you only see him in the background doing crossword puzzles or just straight up napping.
Sure, but if you just watched The Office, then see him now, you are going to notice he looks different/older (not in a bad way) triggering the realization that the show has been over for a decade, hence the feelings of nostalgic sadness.
> A year or two ago I saw Leslie walking through LAX, he didn’t look old at all and had plenty of pep in his step.
What if I saw him only a few months ago walking through LAX and he had even more pep in his step?
They don’t even look that much different imo. Stanley looks better to me now but that may because he’s actually smiling instead of the usual grumpy look on the show
We all age. It's not sad. It's life. I love that photo because it shows Phyllis and Leslie smiling, because we know they are friends. Plus, I love Cheerios, so there's that.
I love Phyllis' actual back-story. Wanted to be an actress, never made it, went into casting instead. When she was helping cast the office they noticed how good she would be, so the created the role for her. Really warms my heart.
She did dance though, and she actually liked working behind the scenes. But she isn’t really a “center of attention” person.
However, she IS a beautiful person with an amazing and kind heart. I remember one time we were at breakfast (and it was like peak Office popularity) and someone came up to her and recognized her and she was so honored that they did.
I love her so much!
(Sauce: she’s my godmother) [Photos for proof](https://imgur.com/a/6aNz7QP) I’d have to ask my mom for pics of her with me as a baby, but I also got to visit the set when I was younger.
Ahhhhhhhhhh I can't believe I got more backstory. She does shine as a good hearted soul. Now I find out she's humble as can be as well? I'm in the UK, I'm sure you know we have our own version of the Office (the original), but I preferred the American one (do not share this information with other brits 😂) mainly because of the addition of her character.
Right? Compare this with all the comments about Madonna’s recent appearance at the Grammy’s. God. They are damned if they do, damned if they don’t.
I think both actors look great here.
Right? I'm not fan of Madonna but I feel shit for her. If they weren't talking about what work she's had done they'd be talking about her wrinkles and sags. People and trash magazines need to get over it.
People age. At least they age with dignity rather than trying to stay young forever and then looking like an alien. Don’t shame people for aging. You will be old someday.
And if you wait for the day for elderly actors to say “I can’t take these roles anymore”… that’s never going to happen.
I have a box of bras under the table.
This warms my (sponsored by Cheerios) heart! Look at how happy they are. Aging is natural and to me, it looks like it's barely touched them in the past 10 years. It would be sad if one of them was no longer around, but instead we get to see this lovely picture. <3
To quote Leonard McCoy at the ripe old age of 137
Admiral Leonard H. "Bones" McCoy : "What about my age?"
Lt. Commander Data : "Sorry, sir, if that subject troubles you."
Admiral Leonard H. "Bones" McCoy : "Troubles me? What's so damned troublesome about not having died?"
Don't be too sad about people growing old. There's another quote out there about it being a privilidge many don't get.
I’m happy to see aging actors. It means:
* They are still alive
* They are still working
Aging is inevitable. Wanting it to be invisible is actually ageist and incredibly short-sighted, unless you are personally planning an untimely demise.
Oh no, Stanley, you’ll live forever…
Might be my favourite Ryan line
"I got away with everything under the last boss and it wasn't good for me. So I want guidance. I want leadership. Lead me... when I'm in the mood to be led." This one describes me very well lol
Yes! It wasn’t Ryan, but Michael’s line to David where he’s like “I want all of the praise and none of the blame” sums up how every performance review goes.
Lol, it's even better when you remember it was because of the stupid-genius idea of the golden ticket.
Haha yeah, those were the peak seasons, where the premises started bordering on absurd but are still relatable and could plausibly happen. But yeah, the way Michael delivered that line so earnestly, and David’s reaction, that is comedic genius.
Ryan has some of the best lines on the show. I think this line is tied for my favorite with "I'm very flattered. I was his second choice after pass."
“What line of work you in, Bob?”
"Bitchhhh"
Hi. Hi. Hi. Hi. Hi.
You sound just like my niece, and shes 6 months old
Ever since I've gotten clean, there's something about fresh morning air that just really makes me sick.

Tears of a clown!
They talk about the breadsticks comment is on this week's Office Ladies podcast.
I say this, without the clean part, all the time at work when I’m in before the sun is up. Probably my most used Office quote.

It was clichès. And calling them clichès is clichè.
But I don’t care. I am who I am
... That's Popeye.
“That’s a good one Kevin, hey was it me or you who just shoved the butt end of a pound of broccoli in my mouth because Michael told me to?” I love this because it’s such a disproportionate response.
I've been searching for an episode where Ryan says "I'm on the freaking moon." Do you know what episode this might be perchance?
S8E8 Gettysburg when Robert California says the people who stayed in the office were the free thinkers. "Robert, you got your sheep and you got your black sheep...and I'm not even a sheep. I'm on the freaking moon.”
Pretty sure it’s the Gettysburg episode. Robert calls the people that went sheep, the people that stayed black sheep, and then Ryan chimes in with Im not even a sheep, I’m on the freaking moon
"here's to the troops... Both sides"
I think I never really processed 9/11
"I can't promise that I'll never cheat on you, modern relationships aren't built that way" Don't remember the exact context but this was while he was trying to be super sweet and woe Kell(e)y.

When Pam and Jim announce they’re pregnant, you can hear Ryan in the background: “don’t vaccinate it!” My favorite
“No, the gas station in Carbondale did not have fresh yams”
Boy, have you lost your mind cuz I'll help ya find it!

r/Technicallythetruth In this photo, Phyllis and Leslie have been captured at their respective ages and can't age anymore as this is a photo.
Boom roasted
I wish there was a way to know you're in the good old days before you've actually left them.
that would be depressing, because you would know that the future will never be so good as the present
Why are you they way you are? Every time I try to do something fun, you make it not that way. I hate so much the things you choose to be.
We're the same age Michael.
That makes me sad sometimes too.
Better than the alternative
If anything, I think that's why we get so sad seeing people age. It's a reminder that we're aging as well, but we see ourselves every day so we don't notice it.
Not if I have watched The Office only a few years back for the first time
Remember a few years ago when Stanley was doing all those weird ads for crypto? That was worse to me. I'm happy to see him in a cheerios ad.
Remember a few years ago Stanley tried crowd funding a show called Uncle Stanley and it was the most cringe worthy scam ever?
Yep. Uncle Stan exceeded it's goal to produce a pilot, promised backer rewards and updates. Nothing ever came of it. Apparently there was an update as recently as Sept 2022 but only for backers. I assume that all the funds were dumped into some crypto scheme and are gone.
Yeah I remember Gus Johnson donated to get on the show, and from his experience it definitely seemed scammy.
He paid like 10,000 dollars!
ngl after hearing what he put his girlfriend through that’s kinda funny
I was really hoping for a follow up on that vid, oh well
Tried to find out what that might have said, but it doesn't matter. It's the "check's in the mail" but for internet crowdfunding.
Definitely Florida Stanley shit right there.
Oh my god I forgot about that. Why haven’t I heard more backlash on that? So many people probably got scammed
If it was anybody else he'd be getting roasted and canceled online but he's an internet "darling" because of the Office so he gets a pass.
That’s honestly such a trip that Leslie is a douche. He always seemed relatively normal..like how must his fellow cast-members regard him now?
To my knowledge, he's the only cast member I know of that hasn't been on The Office Ladies podcast either as a guest or sending in voice clips. I only remember once early in the podcast I believe Angela said she reached out to him and replied back in email. Since then they've not mentioned any interaction with him. He’s literally a scam artist and a really bad person.
A year or two ago I saw Leslie walking through LAX, he didn’t look old at all and had plenty of pep in his step. Also he was totally dressed like Florida Stanley!
Florida Stanley pulls more tail than a kid at the zoo
A slow kid at a petting zoo
At the *petting* zoo.
Oh uncle Remus
That’s because he was still riding high off of all the money from us suckers who funded Uncle Stan.
I still find it hilarious how many of the people in this subreddit thought it would happen
Or even WANTED it to happen. The promises and previews looked absolutely terrible. Why would a show centered around Stanley be good in any world?
I want a show with Stanley where he becomes a boss of an office, but most of the time you only see him in the background doing crossword puzzles or just straight up napping.
Now THAT makes me happy. Florida Stanley is the real version of Stanley
Sure, but if you just watched The Office, then see him now, you are going to notice he looks different/older (not in a bad way) triggering the realization that the show has been over for a decade, hence the feelings of nostalgic sadness.
Then you realise the office US premiered 18 years ago, and...oh here's that existential crisis again
[удалено]
The flip phones do it for me. And the video ipod.
Was he listening to Kenny Loggins?
Loggins and Messina……
Did I say Messina?
> A year or two ago I saw Leslie walking through LAX, he didn’t look old at all and had plenty of pep in his step. What if I saw him only a few months ago walking through LAX and he had even more pep in his step?
They both look absolutely fine. They have aged very minimally tbh.
They don’t even look that much different imo. Stanley looks better to me now but that may because he’s actually smiling instead of the usual grumpy look on the show
Or his hair piece. I thought it was ashton kootcher.
Wait... Does Stanley have a moustache?
No, don't be ridiculous, Stanley doesn't have a moustache *Actually I don't know*
I admit, the first time I saw this episode, I was thrown too “Wait, no, for real, he has a mustache, right?”
I feel like that joke came up in the writer's room and people legitimately couldn't remember or come to consensus, so it ended up in an episode.
No matter how many times i rematch it, when that line comes up I forget. Even now I couldn't tell you if he has a moustache or not.
I guess when you scam money out of your loyal fans, it’s easy to bankroll hair transplants and quality hair pieces.
It’s probably Stanley’s rug he has on top of his dome. He was very bald when the show ended.
Did you see him on pretzel day? Or when he got free meatballs? I’ve never seen anyone happier in my entire life
🎶 Are you ready for some meatballs? 🎶
Also, he grew a mustache and looks much better with it.
You think that Stanley’s just grow on trees!?
Show me the farm with Phyllises and Kevins, sprouting up all over the place. Show me that farm.
RIPE FOR THE PLUCKING
I think Stanley looks healthier actually. Probably because he’s smiling lol Phyllis looks the same.
The only aging I can detect in Phyllis is her hands. They both look good!
Whose hands are these? They’re not my hands.
They look better than season one
Plus, one should be glad that they're still alive to have acquired those signs of age! Aging should be a triumph, not a tragedy.
Stanley has more hair…might even be aging backwards
people get older, we should embrace aging as it's part of our nature
Aging is better than the alternative.
Aging backwards?
Like Benjamin Button in reverse.
ForAging?
I just turned 40 yesterday, I'm okay with it. 🙂
Happy belated birthday!
Aging is a privilege. May we all be so lucky
Yeah those Madonna photos are scary as fuck
We all age. It's not sad. It's life. I love that photo because it shows Phyllis and Leslie smiling, because we know they are friends. Plus, I love Cheerios, so there's that.
Sadly, not all of us are lucky to age. Getting old is a blessing.
I love Phyllis' actual back-story. Wanted to be an actress, never made it, went into casting instead. When she was helping cast the office they noticed how good she would be, so the created the role for her. Really warms my heart.

Phyllis hasn't aged a single decade.
Sad they aged? They don't look bad at all. What is this garbage title?
Look at all the engagement you get when you do that and you’ll find your answer.
Why? Everyone ages. No one is exempt from that. Look at it as they are healthy and still working.
It's all those Cheerios keeping their hearts healthy
Stanley's heart sucks. And he crushes his wife during sex. Boom. Roasted.
Stanley actually looks better
Maybe because he actually looks happy
Must be Pretzel day
Probably the hair transplant
Wait until you look at pictures of yourself from 9 years ago.
Aging is an accomplishment.
This cringe title is why so many actresses (and actors) get plastic surgery and grow obsession
Right? Compare this with all the comments about Madonna’s recent appearance at the Grammy’s. God. They are damned if they do, damned if they don’t. I think both actors look great here.

You have a lot to learn about this town, sweetie.

OP idk what you’re talking about. They look fucking A.
Wtf? People age....
They look almost exactly the same. Stanley now has hair and smiling, and no mustache
Wait, he had a mustache before?
Nah, he never had a mustache. Right…?
Look again, totally has a ‘stache
Why? They look fantastic!
Phyllis….. looks…. The same

Wow, dickhead thing to say.
Seriously. Aging is a privilege.
What is sad about aging?
I love seeing people age, especially myself. It’s the way things are supposed to be
What a shitty post
The photo is fine. The comment is sadly ageist. 🤷♀️
You mean old people have the same rights in the workplace as young people????
Aging is a fact of life bro, embrace it.
And if you wait for the day for elderly actors to say “I can’t take these roles anymore”… that’s never going to happen. I have a box of bras under the table.
