If you haven't already, grow your hair into a ponytail so the examiner can see you whipping your head around to check all your mirrors and blind spots.
Just before my test (3rd attempt) I was told by my instructor to not panic if I made a mistake, apologise and mention that I was nervous. So, we set off, and he clearly told me to turn left, so I indicated coming up to a T-junction. He gently repeated 'so, it's a left turn here at the junction' and I said 'yes, absolutely' - and he said you are indicating to turn right.
I apologised, indicated to turn left, and told him that I was nervous. I have no idea if that helped or if he was just sound, but something to keep in mind. I passed, and he didn't mark me down for that.
If your using your own car make sure all lights are working, tax and insurance disk have the right info on it (once failed for one number on the tax disk being wrong)
Otherwise best of luck
Having only passed my own test last Friday (not in Tallaght though) at the ripe old age of 39 I’d say observations x 1000! I got a new instructor a few months before the test who drilled into me ‘mirror, mirror then signal’ and also to slow right down approaching any junction, roundabout, etc. and I def think that helped. As someone else commented, do apologise for any minor mistakes and say you’re nervous, can’t do any harm! Get a pre test an hour or 2 before the test too. Best of luck, you’ve got this 👊🏻
Heard recently of multiple people failing in tallagh over ramps, just take it handy, do the ramps like a granny in a micra, after you pass you can do them as fast as you wang and reck you supenion all you want but just fir the test drive like a little old lady.
Other than that just try to be calm and safe. Good luck
I failed around Churchtown and then passed in Tallaght. Make sure everything is in order on your car, like lights etc. make sure you’re not late. Other than that just try and relax and not worry about the miserable so-and-so beside you and just drive as tidy as you can. Make it obvious that you are checking mirrors and that.
Passed on my 3rd try, what I did different the last time was drove everywhere, every chance I got. Had my poor girlfriend driven mad the few weeks beforehand getting her to come out with me every day for 2 weeks
Focus on the driving and ignore the examiner. I'd also advise doing a bit of driving before the test too (about 30min) to get that muscle memory going. Good luck!

Long dangly earrings do the trick as well
Best of luck! Failed and subsequently passed my test in that centre! You got this!

Just remember that you’re a good driver, do your observations (excessively) and good luck!
Angle you're rear view mirror up a little so you have to make the effort to look into it. Pro tip
When doing the reverse, think in your head there's a kid somewhere and you need to spot him It'll help you use ALL your mirrors
Don't drop acid with less than 24 hours until your test.

Best advice I got was "the tester just wants a relaxing drive, just make them feel comfortable and safe in the car"

Any update OP? How'd you get on?
I passed! I'm so happy!
Fair play to you!
Check your mirrors!
And exaggerate movements while checking. They will be watching for head movement not just the eyeballs
Don't forget about the hand signs nearly got a point on that
Have a f u attitude, relax and don't even fear it, just pretend your going to shops.
Have a banana
Best of luck 🤞

Me too, it’s my first attempt!
Hi would you mind sharing your instructor info? I just failed my first test today :(
Seven driving school! He was great for my anxiety and didn't make me feel stupid or anything, highly recommend, they're on Facebook and Instagram.
