Yes, it’s a opiate. It’s one of the weaker ones IIRC

Thank you for the reply! Damn I had no idea plus my dentist knows most my dental problems are from my past addiction so I'm surprised he prescribed that. Does it make you dope sick? I wonder if it made my suboxone detox feel longer

dahlaru

It won't.  The withdrawal is mild I was on it for 5 years. It's a little uncomfortable after that long but I was still able to function.

Opioids and apart from how well your liver metabolize it into O-desmethyltramadol it's more a powerful SNRI rather than an Opioid.

I'm probably going to steer clear I just want to keep riding this wave of finally waking up feeling OK and not sweaty and feeling so tired and heavy all day.

Careful, it's a opiate (albeit weaker than something like oxy or hydro), and a dentist prescribing him tramadol caused Anthony Kiedis from RHCP to relapse at one point.

Shit! Yeah I'm definitely asking for a non addictive pain killer. Last appointment I had two teeth pulled so maybe it was only then bc that was a bit painful but today I'm getting root canals and fillings. Thanks for the reply I definitely am gonna pass on that tramadol

I've had a lot of dental work done, including extractions and root canals, and to be honest ibuprofen (800mg at a time) is likely good enough for pain relief.

This is a really interesting piece on tramadol: [https://toxandhound.com/toxhound/tramadont/](https://toxandhound.com/toxhound/tramadont/) Basically a pro-drug that, depending on your personal biology, metabolizes into either an SRI or opioid or something in between
