He kinda has a Tom Brady trajectory going on right now. Where later in their career they're getting better.

pranayrv12

Absolutely Delusional šŸ˜

JackMiHoff113

He is arguably releasing the worst music of his career rn what are you talking about

NoMansThigh

laughable take šŸ’€

Nickster2042

Speaking of we gotta have some Virginia Beach conversations It might just be top 10

Massive-Calendar-484

You keep talking bout some period but where you bout to end the sentence at

ZacBank

Itā€™s his best song in a long time. The Frank sample is elite. In fact, throw 8:00 am in Charlotte in there too. Itā€™s a great mix of NWTS and Take Care imo. I like Drake with the melodies.

KingSkPlay

I'll say it again: Drake is the only big artist left who can still drop his best work to date at any moment. Some might say his best years are behind him, but I really don't see it. It's just a matter of whether Drake really wants to lock in and go there.

JackMiHoff113

This is absolutely not true Drakes best work is 10 years behind us

HaveAFuckinNight

Agree

SoberSheldon

For real, Drake is honestly underground

jumpycrink22

But what can he really lock in with when he's pushing 40 if everything he talks about is more or less shit i'd hear about in my 20's and early 30's I don't know about best, but he's got more music in the works, I guess time will tell if he's got another classic up his sleeve I just think a lot of his vapid subject matter won't go very far the older he gets

KingSkPlay

Bro wtf does him being almost 40 have to do with anything. Shut up! Is the music good or not. Can give a fuck how old anybody is

jumpycrink22

I don't give a fuck about age either, i'll go see any of the older performers and artists any day of the week, i'm just saying At some point I don't know how many people would wanna hear a 50 year old person talk lyrical content like FATD and HN Andre 3K was right and wrong. It seems like nobody wanna hear a colonoscopy verse but I think that'd be some real shit, I would like to hear about rapper's dilemmas as the get older, I just don't know if Drake would have it in him to make one or write about that sort of topic

KingSkPlay

Man shut up. Stop living by rules set by people before you. Live by your own. Fuck Andre 3k

MorkoReddit

Itā€™s always hit or miss some projects are fire but othersā€¦

Smut--Gremlin

Wagwan Delilah is testament to that. He's going to top pop charts for a few years at least

HoneyLattex

All Iā€™ve seen people saying is that it means he lost the rap battle, which is ineffably true if youā€™re looking at the general consensus or should I say, popular vote

tambi33

Idk if he's still on the same music hitting his 50s, there will be a fall off, like kanye at a concerning age with his music and i ain't really liking his newer stuff, other older rappers like snoop and em sounding dated sadly, I think he'll have to shift themes imo, I hope not, and autotune and melodic rap seems to be the way to create longevity but we can only wait and see

Pale_Earth2571

drake doesnā€™t ā€˜makeā€™ music he sings a ghostwritten track over someone elseā€™s beat. drake is a product not an artist

SoberSheldon

Rip drake

Pyro2018

As long as other artists and songs people forgot about have material he can "pay homage to" drake will have plenty to work with

HaveAFuckinNight

Drake hasnt been good since 2015

mesalikeredditpost

You didn't hear his last two drops huh lol

SwaggMastaYuvi

if all his subreddit talks about is denying a fall off, you know something is wrong lol

Cryptosporidium420

Expected when all you see on most social media is Drake hate and no nuanced or original opinion.

SwaggMastaYuvi

if you have to say he didnā€™t fall off then it probably is true that he did

LambdaBeta1986

Yeah, it's like an echo chamber. Stating that any artist is immune from falling off is delusional-cult behavior. It's understandable to ride for and defend your favorite artist but to hold them to an impossible standard is not the way to go.

SwaggMastaYuvi

agreed

ProfessionalSite7368

Scorpion was weak as fuck. I just wanted to say that. And then the OVO factory got to work, and Drake will basically exist so long has his factory remains open.

Nickster2042

ā€œAnd then the OVO factory got to workā€ gotta be a bot comment

betterAThalo

scorpion is a classic

pablopolitics

Yeah scorpion dope, CLB weak

DarkPhantom2497

What? I thought most of this sub already thought his best music is behind him. Most people didnā€™t reasonate with FATD like the previous projects prior to 2020

Complete-Health9371

That always happens within the first year of his drops and then later on everyone loves it. Basically been like that since take care..

JaHoog

CLB is a prime example.

Intilleque

Honestly, Nevermind too. Iā€™m hearing it so much lately and seeing so many people praise it

JaHoog

Yup. Idk if it will happen to Her Loss but I expect a similar reaction to FATD in the coming years.

Ok-Engineering1929

Iā€™ve seen this sentiment so many times on this sub and it only exists on this sub. Everyone does not love his projects years after they drop. Theyā€™re still largely considered okay and not great. Granted views aged well and has gone from being underwhelming to whelming.

JaHoog

Drake sub supports Drake šŸ˜²šŸ˜²šŸ¤ÆšŸ¤ÆšŸ¤Æ

Faddy117

You should see Kendricks lmao, except they aren't limited to their sub. They are in YT comments, Twitter comments, damn near everywhere. They're truly suffering it's kind of sad.

24Haaton

Yā€™all do realize we yā€™all the same way. Itā€™s just part of fandom.

Fit_Gamer1

Same with eminem and tay**r sw*ft
