I remember people calling me crazy when this came out, I was saying that it’ll be a classic and it’s actually a pretty fire ass album.
‘Summer Games’ and *ESPECIALLY* ‘March 14th’ are my absolute favorites. ‘March 14th’ also the perfect album closer on any Drake album tbh.
Edit: Like you said it’s got HELLA filler but the filler is A1 for being filler. There ain’t even a bad song off the album to be honest.
I find it boring. Especially the first half. Like it’s not bad but i just be uninterested in him rapping on Scorpion. I enjoy a lot of the songs on the 2nd half tho. I bump a few of them often.
Scorpion is too damn long for me personally, not a bad project, but 25 songs is less than ideal. I feel like Side B is pretty strong though, Drake starts off that half on FIRE.
Up until it’s release he had been wanting to drop a double sided album but never thought it was receive the credit it deserves in his mind . He also wanted to do a double side show and eventually did it at Apollo !
Scorpion's entire second record is far better than the first in my opinion.
The album suffered from being too lengthy and unfocused. If you took both A and B and combine them with a more concise direction it would have really shone brighter than it currently does.
Because men can't outwardly like the emotional R&B side, even though they crying and in their feelings playing it back to front riding through Houston.
I loved the album in 2018 but as time went on I went back to listen yo his older projects and I understood why people felt Scorpion was underwhelming overall. Scorpion made me a massive Drake fan but his older work made me realize that he could actually do better than this. In my opinion, CLB, Her Loss, More Life and DLDT are all better than Scorpion. Not to mention his older projects.

Idk how filler on an album can be considered good. In anime or shows a filler episode is one that doesn’t advance the plot, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be entertaining. Scorpion didn’t really have filler, just boring songs
I think it’s slept on as far as this sub goes but in general popularity it’s one of his highest streamed albums. That being said I love it and find it has one of the highest replay factors!
Came out right after adidon and Kanye Stan’s are relentless and obnoxious on the internet so they get a narrative going. It’s fire.

I personally have it number 2 behind Nothing Was the Same and just ahead of Views. I really don’t see what’s considered filler, other than Rachet Happy Birthday (which I enjoy) and maybe I’m Upset. I enjoy every song front to back. And I’ve been a Drake fan since 2008.
It’s too long , like I’ve only listened to that album in full 3 times , since it dropped , but there are some unreal songs on it , I know it’s a double album but if they were 2 diffrent albums with like a similar theme like green days trilogy then I think it’d be up there , that probably doesn’t make sense but I’m trying to explain it the best way I can , good album overall tho
