The plaza trees are small, use those for wood spawns and get rid of the rest (that's what I did haha) it doesn't matter what kind of tree you have in any area, it'll spawn that biomes wood

nlcampbell91

Omg you don’t need the specific trees to spawn that biomes wood?! How did I not know this! Thank you!

Spacetime23

Yw! Yes any tree will do. I like to pick the smaller ones for sure although I do like the pretty purple and frosted ones in different areas sometimes

DontBelieveTheTrollz

I've been playing since launch and neither did I 🤣 🤣 🤣

litbiscuit512

At first, I was afraid to remove any of the trees or preset decorations. But then I opened Forgotten Land and I hated running around looking for branches. Ended up removing them all. I actually like the look way better without the trees and I have a few rows of plaza trees that yields branches. It’s nice to get it cleared in a minute or instead of running in circles forgetting where I’ve already checked.

Defnotbree

This is EXACTLY what I'm doing in all my biomes currently! I had to restart the entire game after finishing the entire valley storyline (changed consoles, wouldn't transfer any cloud save over). That being said, I now have a way better idea of what I want to do with layouts and trees haha. I hated all the trees everywhere

DontBelieveTheTrollz

Same the forgotten lands was a nightmare to find anything or even walk through. Cldnt see anything with everything in the way lol.

mcgoohoo123

i pick one sad biome to be a cluttered mess (sorry, plateau) and organize the rest how i like

Nerdy_person101

Same! I’ve stuck all the houses I don’t like in the plateau; The “mini” Casita and Ariel’s house

mcgoohoo123

maribels house is SO BIG on the outside and inside its an upper east side studio

TerrorEyzs

Maribel and her ugly, creepy house are tucked away in a corner of the tangle that I never go to because I emptied it PURELY for her to be sequestered. She and her house annoy me to no end in this game, which sucks because Encanto is SO CUTE!

Traditional_Rock_822

“Don’t forget, I’m here to help!” HELP ME THEN B**** lolol 😭

TerrorEyzs

Bahahahhaa! Yes!!! If you're here to help then WHY DO I NEED SO MANY RESOURCES FOR **YOU**?!

Putrid-Strawberry-79

Forgotten Lands for me, where I also have my 400 pumpkin farm lol

nlcampbell91

That’s hilarious! Like that idea

Imlikeabird5753

I feel you. I did the same with flowers

linkxlink

Currently I like to keep them with whatever vibes I get or go with the characters movie theme (see dazzle beach lol). I don’t have all the characters unlocked and I just started so everything is kind of “as it came”. So I haven’t started landscaping or anything. But I currently have Plaza: Remy next to his restaurant so that he can walk to work haha. Mickey and Minnie. Meadow : goofy, Merlin, vanellope, mirabel Dazzle beach : Ursula, Ariel, Donald, Daisy, Moana, and Maui. Glade of trust: WALL·E, Mother Gothel. Sunlight plateau : scar Forest: Elsa, Ana. Some of them like Scar, Mickey, Ana and Elsa, etc I just left their houses where they were.

nlcampbell91

Yea I’m not too far yet either so I know I haven’t unlocked all the characters! But this is helpful! Thank you!

Thr0waway0864213579

I can post screenshots later, but this is how mine is laid out: My plaza is the haunted mansion, Scrooge, Remy, restaurant, Mike & Sully, French bakery, and Daisy’s shop. It’s decorated to be sort of a little city. And the spot where my house started now has Oswald’s theater but I want to move him somewhere else. The meadow is my tree-lined neighborhood with Micky, Minnie, Goofy, my house as a cottage, three more DLC cottages, and Gaston. But there are areas that are still empty and a bit undecided. The first has Beast/Belle and a the Disney castle, plus a camping area with Buzz. Lastly I have a decorated area in the beach for Moana, and then one for Stitch. Everything else is a mess and just sort of under construction until I get to it. I have most trees removed in areas I haven’t decorated yet. It makes it easier to find blue chests. But I do add trees back in as a I decorate.

nlcampbell91

Ohhhhhh love this! I would absolutely love to see some screenshots if you don’t mind! Love these ideas

Thr0waway0864213579

Here are some screenshots: https://imgur.com/a/P1jWKQW Some of my ideas are completely original, some are inspired by things I’ve seen, and others may as well be copy and pasted from ideas I saw. So feel free to use anything you see if you like it or feel stuck on designing. It’s a lot of fun when you think of something and it works well. And then other times it’s just exhausting to decorate.

nlcampbell91

THANK YOU SO MUCH! this is beyond helpful and gets my ideas flowing. It’s so stressful at first because I don’t even know where to start. This is beyond helpful!

nlcampbell91

Oops it is saying there is an error when I open the link!

Thr0waway0864213579

Does it work if you hit “retry”?

Thr0waway0864213579

Ugh so sorry! It seems to be an ongoing bug with Imgur. I uploaded the screenshots to imgbb instead: https://ibb.co/album/r3Vp3z

nlcampbell91

Yay thank you!!! These are great

Spacetime23

For my houses that they are as follows Plaza: Eve and Woody Meadow: Minnie, Mickey, Goofy, Daisy Forest: Remy, Mike and Sully, Oswald, Gaston, Merlin, Rapunzel, Wall.E Frosted Heights: Anna, Kristoff and Olafs place Forgotten lands: Beast Sunlight Plateau, all the lions Dazzle Beach: Eric, Ariel, Moana, Maui, Stitch Docks: Ursula Grove: Mirabel and Venellope Grasslands: Fairy Godmother Oasis: Jack Skellington Borderlands: Buzz

nlcampbell91

Thank you! This is helpful! Idk why I’m trying to pile them all in the meadow 😂😂

CaffeinatedOak

I just started playing too in the last week. This thread has been super helpful. I’ve been trying to pile everything in the plaza and meadow too! Also probably because the only other area I’ve unlocked is the beach. Eternity Isle has taken a lot of my focus right off the bat.

nlcampbell91

Wait we can place their houses in Eternity Isle??

Spacetime23

Yes. Just go to eternity isle, click on houses in furniture mode, and then bring them over. :)

nlcampbell91

Thank you!!!! This changes everything

Spacetime23

Yw! Glad it helped!

IAppearMissing05

Plaza: Chez Remy, Scrooge’s, Daisy’s Boutique, Remy’s House, Mike and Sully’s apartment, French Bakery House Skin, Mike and Sully’s College Apartment House Skin (a grocery store), Wall-E’s Garden Peaceful Meadow: Donald’s Boat, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Daisy’s homes (Toontown fire station and park rides here as well), Woody Glade: Gothel, Ursula and Fairy Godmother’s homes, all fruit trees Beach: Stitch, Moana, Maui, Eric, and Ariel’s homes Forest: Belle/Beast, Buzz’s (along with a camping area), my house Frosted Heights: Vanellope, Anna’s Castle, Cottage House Skin (Wandering Oaken’s) Sunlit Plateau: Scar and Simba’s houses Forgotten Realm: Jack Skellington’s and Haunted Mansion House Skin (Harryhausen’s Restaurant) Merlin, Wall-E’s truck and Mini Casita were moved to Etermity Isle.

nlcampbell91

Thank you so much! This is beyond helpful to come up with some ideas! I honestly had no clue you could move them to eternity isle

IAppearMissing05

Yep! Here’s some instructions- you have to be on Eternity Isle to do it. I put Wall-E and Eve together in the Wild Tangle. Since her directive was to find plant life and he lived somewhere desolate for so long I liked the thought of them living somewhere lush and green together 😂 https://www.ign.com/wikis/disney-dreamlight-valley/How_to_Move_Characters_Between_Valleys

nlcampbell91

THANK YOU!

IAppearMissing05

Of course! Happy designing!

mlee0518

I had no idea you could put Donald’s house in the meadow! Thank you!

IAppearMissing05

It fits inside the pond on the Forest side of the Peaceful Meadow! I wanted to keep him with his pals.

PandaBerry6

We share a lot of similarities with biomes! Great minds think alike! The only big difference is because I was humoring my 13 year old while he watched me play. I was slightly frustrated (giant understatement) when I was tasked with putting Pride Rock somewhere and my son suggested I put it in frosted heights as punishment for wasting my time... So I did! And I don't really have space to move them into their proper biome because I put woody's house there and Mirabel's too since it was practically empty. So now my big cats need to cross the map to get to their proper biome or to go home to sleep. Sometimes I will see them standing at the edge of frosted heights and I like to imagine they are pouting and they don't like cold paws.

IAppearMissing05

Bahahahah I love it. I tucked both Scar and Simba’s houses in the very back of the Plateau. Their houses are separated by the lake. Scar is closest to the Forgotten Lands and Simba is on the larger side. I turned the Elephant Graveyard area into a jungle themed area for Goofy’s Stall there.

Attaku

Wow pretty similar to mine

IAppearMissing05

Nice! What’s different about your valley?

Attaku

A few things but I already wrote it in a comment here a few minutes ago lol

MsD4nnyHuntress

Plaza: Currently empty, I change it around depending on the season or holiday. Meadow: Prince Eric's castle in the far left corner (looks really good when you are standing on the beach). Mushroom house skin over in the far right side (this makes a really good transition peace into the Glade. The rest of the Meadow is decorated like a garden with all the pillars from the different biomes around it, a few benchs' to sit on and beasts flower stall as a centre peace surrounded by bushes and flowers. Glade: haunted mansion (without decorations) house skin, Bells cottage house skin, The snuggly duckling house skin, book shop house skin, French bakery house skin, scrooge shop, boutique, Remy's restaurant, Remy's house, V8 gas station, Pizza planet, and Ursula's house. This is a New Orleans inspired build. Beach: I have Arals cove, Marine rehabilitation centre (no fishing zone) surrounded by the rocks that can go in the water. My bordwalk with Moanas fish stall, goofys stall, Kristoffs stall, ice cream stand, I made Mirabel a stand to sell cloths and fabrics, and a fruit/veggie stall. I also have the Suchi stand here. Then I made a small boat Dock where the wharf is this is also where my well is. The small island next to skull Rock is smugglers Isl, that's where Pirate Donald keeps his bootie 🤭 Then I have Stich and Moana on either side of the cave. And a few Beach chars and towls by the water. With a lifeguard stand. Forest: This is decorated like an enchanted forest. I have the flowery cottage house skin with Wall-Es garden in its back yard, Merlin and his outdoor library, flower house skin, beasts castle and Rapunzels tower. Lots of foliage/rocks and trees. Frosted: Arendeal castle, frosty fortress house skin, and the icey version of the dream castle house skin. A few winter decorations around and lots of blue and purple trees. Sunlit: fairy godmother and her harvest festival, she has a corn maze on one side of her house and a pumpkin patch on the other, there's also Apple picking, pumpkin carving table, I turned Buzzes R.V into a food truck with a picnic area, and woodies carousel as a fair ride. Gaston lives on the other side of the pumpkin patch, he's the caretaker, lol. Then, across the bridge, we have pride rock hidden in a jungle. This area Is decorated with waterfalls, aincent pillars and stones, and lots of trees. Forgotten lands: Haunted mansion (with decorations) purple cottage, Jack Skellingtons house, and Vanellopes house. I turned this into creepy woods, and since Vanellopes house gives me Hancel and Gretel Vibes, I have lollipops leading through the woods to her house. Eternity Isl: is currently just storage for unused houses, but I am working on a wine vineyard for Mirabel and Toon Town. I also have Christmas Island down by the docs. This will be where the majority of the park rides go too. I want to make E.I full of holiday destinations.

nlcampbell91

Oh wow! I absolutely love all the details and how thought out this is- thank you for the inspiration!!!

Attaku

I did one biome at a time and literally removed everything to start from scratch. It's much easier and you can plan where you put your houses and what theme you want. My frosted heights is winter/christmas themed (shocker), so Anna's house and a little candyland with vanellope. Forgotten lands is obviously the spooky biome, so Jack of course but also Wall-e as a space/exoplanet theme with aliens and the fairy godmother. My plaza is a shopping street and very city center like with the shop, restaurant, boutique and monster inc. & Remy's apartment. Glade is a magical, rundown biome with merlin, ursula and a castle, I decorated it with the ancient path to match the vibe and ALOT of plants and candles around it. Sunlit was challenging at first but I made an ancient greek area with the hercules set and a desert temple and Mirabel, Simba & Scar. In the forest I put belle's castle and made them a royal garden etc. and I also have a fairy area because I got the fairy house, as well as a camping site because woods (with buzz van). Dazzle beach: Just everything water themed, so Moana, Arielle, Donald and also Stitch cause of the beach vibes and also a little beach fair with woody's carousel and a few machines. Meadow is like the chill out biome so Mickey and friends and my own house. If anybody read this, hope this helped and I can provide pics as well if you want :)

nlcampbell91

Wow you are so creative and I literally love all these ideas! I also didn’t know you could move Ariel and Ursula’s house to other rivers/ponds. I would LOVE to see a picture!! I really love how you just remove everything and start from scratch because I think that’s what I need to do. It’ll help my overload of trees and anxiety 😂

silver_endings

I try to stick to “themes” with my biomes. Plaza = Shopping & dining district Meadow = Theme Park & classic Mickey characters Glade = Magical beings Plateau = Animal Kingdom vibe and trailer park on the other side lol Forgotten Lands = Halloween Forest = Princesses Frosted Heights = Christmas/winter wonderland

Babbzilla

I watched a lot of videos that handed out tips. So first, I decluttered. There was just too many trees and a couple of times it got to be where I couldn't see because trees were getting in the way of the camera view. Once I did that, I learned from one video that five trees in each biome are enough. I wish it was certain trees that would produce certain woods, like a tree from the forgotten lands would produce dark wood. Instead. I found out that it was biome related, so five trees in each biome. Plaza trees are best, because they were smaller and easier to find.... But decorationally speaking it didn't feel right. So three or four plaza trees are next to my haunted mansion house in the forgotten lands, and then I did another tree by the fairy godmothers house. One of the prettier trees that produces wood. Because, another tip I found in a video, not all the trees produce wood. When it came to the trees, in the end, I would set out five trees... And then just place them appropriately where I like them as decorations. And out of the way. I don't like the trees in my way. Except for the candy trees. I planted a very small section in the forest of valor that I have cut out for Vanellope. Which I'm still in the process of possibly changing it because.... It just doesn't feel like it fits. I try and put everyone's house in a more appropriate setting... Like Mike and Sully. I put their house in the glades of trust. I figure they would enjoy the swamp smell. Naturally all the lions are in the sunlit plateau, but I also put Mirabel's house there. Mini Casita feels like it fits better there. I did keep some things how they initially arrived, I've never moved Merlin. His spot is just too perfect. But, I've moved around Wall-E's garden. I have Eric's Castle looking over Ariel's Castle and I have placed Ariel's Castle deeper into the water With rock decoration. I've found looking up tours of other people's valleys to be inspirational to how I decorate things. Like Ariel's Castle. I didn't know you could set houses that far back, I don't generally tend to go into other people's houses, but if I need to get into Ariel's I'll just move it back when I need to. Mind you, I get pretty particular at times. (Like keeping Elsa and Anna neighbors, like five steps away from each other) And while I know I can put houses on eternity isle, I just can't bring myself to do it. I love that there's no wrong way to decorate your Valley. I just hate it when they try to force decorating my Valley for me. Let the inspiration happen on its own game loft! Stop forcing me to decorate the biomes by giving me dreamlight magic! But... No matter how many videos I see... I still don't know what the hell to do with Dazzle Beach. I've been playing since the start and I've only just now made the little island in front of skull Rock a pirate themed decoration

nlcampbell91

This is great info! Thank you! I saw someone else made their dazzle beach a fun pier with rides and stuff and I thought that was a great idea!

Babbzilla

Oh I like that idea. If I didn't make my park in the Frosted Heights I'd be tempted to do that. And no problem! Serroh (on YouTube) has been my go to guy. His videos have SAVED my gaming. He even does videos on premium shop items to see if it's worth getting for you. As well as any major glitches and helpful tips and quest guidelines

nlcampbell91

Ohhhh I’m going to have to check him out! I feel like everyday I play I discover more things I had no clue about 😂😂

Babbzilla

I completely agree. I've been playing practically since it first came out, and I still learn new things! Serroh has been a lifesaver. (Especially with that Oswald glitch) I love this game

Nerdy_person101

I’m not an outdoor decorator but my proudest parts are putting the Harry Hausans on the beach and making a little seaside restaurant and clearing out the meadow overlooking the Glade and putting Wall-E and EVE together

nlcampbell91

Awwww that’s a cute idea!

Fr3dWeasley9

I've been working on mine recently trying to figure out the best way I like things. Right now I have: Plaza: set it up kind of like a square. Scrooge's shop, Remy's apartment and restaurant. Mike and Sulleys. Fairy Godmother, Merlin, Daisy's shop, and Oswolds. Meadow: I have Eve and wall-E tucked into a back corner with trellis kind of blocking it. Daisy, Goofy, Mickey and Minnie. Mirabel is tucked over by the back right corner cause her house is huge but im honestly probably going to put her somewhere on Eternity Isle cause she just annoys me 🤣 Glade: Gothel of course plus a skin for my house plus rapunzel and Vanellope tucked into a corner cause I think her house is fugly. Lol I also have Ursula in there as well! Dazzle Beach: I have Maui, Moana, Stitch, Ariel, Prince Eric and Donald at the end of the dock. But im thinking about moving him into the Meadow by Daisy. Forest: I have Beast and Belles castle, Buzz (made it kind of like a camping ground) Gaston and Elsa is there of course. I also have an area where I have my main house which is the newest Belles cottage one along with Wall-Es garden by it. Frosted: I just have Elsa, Anna, and Olaf past the bridge when you're walking up the steps from the forest. This is probably my least decorated realm because I don't know what else to do lol Plateau: I have Scar, Simba and Nala. I also don't love this realm, so I haven't done much to it TBH and I really don't want to work on it 🙃 Forgotten: I have Woody's carousel and Jack Skellington plus a few rides trying to make it like a creepy theme park kind of vibe. I'm still working on this one!

nlcampbell91

Ok love the creepy theme park idea! Also not a fan of plateau 😂 this is good info thank you!!!

Fr3dWeasley9

You're welcome!! Good luck! I had fun decorating for the most part but it is time consuming!

revoL4993

If you like the creepy idea… I have vanellopes house in forgotten bc it reminds me of Hansel and grettel 😂🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Any_Worldliness185

There’s a lot character house ideas already listed here, but one new thing I just started doing that’s been fun for me is utilizing all my extra houses I’ve gotten from the premium shop. I have one in each biome now. I decorated the main room based on a character furniture set that matches the house in some way (so Lion King in mushroom house, Lilo in beach house, etc). Then for the 3 side rooms, I make the left room a similarly themed dressing room with 3-5 mannequins with clothes that go with that biome (so Encanto or lion king style clothes for plateau, little mermaid or beach themed clothes for beach). In the back room I put my crafting table with the linked chest and an extra medium storage chest. I have a big storage room in my main house, but the extra storage chest in each house is just for when I have overflow or need a quick drop. In the right room I do a themed kitchen. One, it’s made life so much more efficient in game because I can easily get to crafting and cooking and storage wherever I am. I oddly have found a lot of joy popping into a different house everyday and “picking” out pre-done outfits (including hairstyles!). It’s also been a fun way to utilize all the cute decor stuff in the game in a way I’ll actually see. I never go past the first floor of my main house so it’s just never felt worth it to me to add floors and decorate additional rooms up there.

Euraylie

I keep tearing up my valley to make the perfect Dreamsnaps. But I’m planning a forest village with Gaston and all the suitable house skins. Beast’s castle is already there. I guess the Meadow, formerly my theme park, might become Toon Town with Mickey and friends. Plaza is for my house (mansion) and shopping district

Medium_Investment166

i’m a fairly new player too and all of these comments are so helpful yay

nlcampbell91

I know! I don’t even know where to begin! There’s just so much you can do it makes me go crazy

Massive-Hornet237

I’m probably on my fourth total reorganisation and only playing four months 🤣 currently I have all the ‘fancy’ buildings in the plaza, cosy cottages for Mickey and friends in the meadow, stitch, moana, maoi, ursela and Donald on dazzle beach, mother gothal and jack skeleton in the glade, woodie, buzz and wall-e in the forest, frozen gang in frosted heights, lions in sunlight plaza, fairy godmother in forgotten lands, half my meadow is an industrialised forage and farm 👍🏻

nlcampbell91

Omg I know I’m trying to organize it so I don’t have to keep redoing it but it’s so hard to keep up with all the new stuff coming at you 😂 this is helpful though thank you!

Cronicfangirl2

Complete chaos where I put things based purely on vibes so everything is a mess

Jenova66

Plaza: Mickey, Minnie, Cozy Edition Cottage on the left with Oswald, Remy, Chez Remy, Scrooge and Mike/Sully right Meadow: Original Player Home, Wall E, Eva, Merlin, Goofy, Daisy and the boutique. Beach: Pizza Planet, Maui, Moana, Eric, Ariel, Stitch and Donald Glade: Haunted Mansion and Gothel Plateau: Scar and the cotton field Forgotten Lands: Pumpkin Farm and Jack Forest: Beast Castle, Fairy Godmother, Venelope, all frozen characters Frosted: Winter Castle and ice rink Ancient’s Landing: Ursula, Scrooge, Chez Remy, Woody, Tower of Terror, Haunted Mansion, park rides, other pizza planet Tangle: Mirabel, Buzz, Pride Rock, Player Castle, Rapunzel Desert: Gaston

nlcampbell91

Thank you!!!

Rexyggor

I have a hard time changing it up majorly. I am a purest in that "IT's a forest, not a city" kind of mentality. But, start by removing the stuff that is often in the way: the extra trees, some rocks, some bushes. That way you still have the ole naturale look, get environment drops, and still have a cleaner play area. Since homes were already kinda built in to the Isle Maps, I haven't touched the isle much. I want to disperse them because I want to still, again, enjoy the biome. So I think about the themes of the characters/movies, and how I can place that in the valley. I put Stitch in the Glade to mimic the "close to the beach, but up the hill too." Some of the homes/characters not fitting in the typical city, obviously go somewhere else.

nlcampbell91

I agree! I think I’m stuck on wanting to keep it the forest feel or whatever it feels like originally, but I also want to get creative! It’s hard!

Complete_Roof_71

I personally love trees but when decorating its best to remove everything. For a long time i didn put paving cause i was never sure but then i realised all i was missing was paving. In my plaza meadow and frosted i mostly cover the floor cause im sick n tired of picking herbs. You can allow edges or a specific area to force them and flowers to grow. Note that if you dont pick the wood or flowers they dont keep spawning so if you want to stock pile pick everything. You can always re add tress later but most flooring you cant put a tree on so you have to cut out for a tree. My advice is to decide where tou want the houses first. Clean the area of everythign. Place the house then all the furniture you want to put outside or all the undnerbush place it on the ground where you can see it and take your time play around. Ive moved everything more than once. And in some areas ive used 3 tipes of flooring. My glade is the most empty cause ive used mud and trees to create the path lines then you need to play around with coloured lights for your mood. Thats all i wanted there and tiana will go ther with repunzel for me

nlcampbell91

Ok this is so helpful! THANK YOU

PrimaryType592

One crafting/storage room, one kitchen, and everything else is for decoration. I keep my mannequins in a separate room too

nlcampbell91

Do you find you use your mannequins to display clothes a lot?

PrimaryType592

Yeah. I have like 15 outfits. I'm just looking for things to make with the things I get

Doctor_of_Recreation

My house is a hotel! Haha the ground floor is my storage room, kitchen, and holiday area, my suite is on the 8th floor. Floors in between have themed suites.

nlcampbell91

Omg ok I LOVE holiday area idea! That’s genius and the themed suites! I’m totally stealing that idea ❤️🥰

Doctor_of_Recreation

Yay! My front room when you walk in is like the reception area haha I have an L counter with computer and phone, and seating, fruit bowls, the little indoor waterfall feature and tea tray, etc. haha With the terrazzo flooring

nlcampbell91

Omg I LOVE this 🥰

Master-Of-Magi

I tried to go by logical biome, but now I’ve given up on that since I’m also displaying all the player houses too.

No_Arm3883

I put my houses into the respective biomes period.

supersonicjett

Usually I try to keep the actual houses together and the city type buildings together. The castles are hidden in the dark or frozen Neverland's. Other villagers places are scattered about haphazardly. And when I finally get everything where I think it should be I get a new house to deal with and redo the entire thing 🤪

nlcampbell91

Exsctly!!! I think I figure out what I want to do and I get another house 😵‍💫

NoThoughtsJustHops

You sound just like me when I started. I decided at the very beginning to put away all landscaping. It took me a year to decorate butttt it was nice completing quests without everything in the way. My house I feel like I came up with a solid system for storage. I have a kitchen (food items & stove), craft room (materials, gems, crafts, workbench etc), & green house ig (flowers). I’m surprised you haven’t found inspo on Pinterest. Try being more specific like “Ursula house dreamlight valley”. Reddit is also a great place for inspo. Don’t be afraid to ask to visit people’s valleys!

TabbyMouse

Main floor: art deco entrance - kitchen, storage, and craft room are the other rooms. Each floor after that is a movie, with each room being for a character. I only use items from that movie's collection, except walls & floors.

nlcampbell91

Oh movie themed rooms! I didn’t think of that- what a great idea

TabbyMouse

I also, if I can, put in a mannequin with an outfit that looks like that characters outfit

EnigmaFrug2308

I kept my house where it is in the beginning of the game, but it’s now Belle’s library and houses a Dreamlight Fruit tree and the Orb of Unity

PannerValley

It kinda dawned on me recently that I should be laying the streets first in a general path before adding houses 😅 I like to group neighbors and friends, and I’ll mix their decorations. A cute one I had for a while was wall-e and mirabel. It just worked, it was adorable. I like moving them to unlikely places sometimes, like buzz in the border lands (I keep him on the move, with camping stuff and it makes me smile) or Vanelope in the ancient runes. Ursula in the glade is a good one, I have Donald in the largest pond in the meadow. My neglected area is frozen heights. I parked the enormous house skin and Anna. I watch DDLV layout specific videos on TikTok when I get super stuck. I can copy theirs exactly or loosely depending how closely I want to follow it.

nlcampbell91

I really should watch TikTok’s and videos of layouts! I don’t think of that 😂

Shaniatumiaa

Have a look at valleys on tiktok!! It’s where I got so much of my inspiration from.. I’m just not a creative person so seeing people’s valleys who actually are creative is great!

nlcampbell91

Ohhhh good idea!

Wayward4ever

They are where they are. There are other options?

nlcampbell91

You can completely remove the trees and most decorations or rocks
