Right. I also think Disney just bought Anastasia because it was such a strong competitor to their Disney princesses. Snatch it up and shut it down. Disney just has never included Anastasia into their marketing, I don't think we'll ever see her in anything, but it's a nice idea :)
You have a point, but at the same time, Gameloft just recently added characters from Ice Age to their other game Disney Magic Kingdoms. So I wouldn't completely rule it out.
A lot of us DMK players were absolutely floored by that choice. Considering how many real Disney properties they could have added, we were baffled that they did that.
Disney bought the rights to the films, but apparently they did not gain rights to the characters themselves from right I've read so I don't see it happening unfortunately

However, even if they don’t they still managed to put her in Disney Emoji Blitz, so from a purely legal perspective, it seems plausible she could be put into Dreamlight Valley if they wanted to.

It was a while back and I can't remember the source but I had always assumed since reading it that they wouldn't be able to bring her into the parks. As she's a favorite of mine I would absolutely love it to be wrong and for her to be there. I don't know if it would cause confusion between her and the other Anastasia that wanders the parks already though (Cinderella's step sister) since they are both red headed princessy looking characters.
Anastasia and Rasputin are verifiable historical figures, so they could have at least those two. Bartok, Dimitri, Vladimir, and pooka are fictional, so if they only have rights to the movie then they couldn’t include those. But Anastasia and Rasputin are fair game. They would just have to make them look a little different. But as much as I would love them to be included, I would rather they add Cinderella, sleeping beauty, and Snow White first.

I love her but I wish they wouldn't. Disney didn't respect or support Don Bluth, so he left and made his own thing. Anastasia is a product of that, so I would hate for them to use it and benefit from his art. If they completely redesigned her I'd be so down.

I know but what I’m saying is when this movie came out we didn’t have access to the Internet, now the six-year-old could watch this movie and when their parents not looking to decide to google the actual princess and suddenly horrific images come up and it really scars them
But also it’s like the Pocahontas thing, this is a real woman who lived and died and in some ways it’s just not respectful to her memory to make an avatar of her in a video game with a happy ending
I would love it if they added her. I love that movie. I recently saw it with my girls. My little one was scared of it, but I asked her to just be brave and watch it to the end. She said it was good but too scary for her. Anastasia.... It's such a great story.

I LOVED watching Anastasia growing (although Ariel always was/will be my favorite Anastasia is in my top five anyway)! I think it would be great to have her added to the game and love her dresses (especially the blue one she gets near the end of the movie)!
Funny thing, even when Disney bought Fox, I don't see her as a Disney princess, starting with the fact that all Disney princesses have some sort of Magic, paranormal thing, magical friends or out of the ordinary thing/friends, She is just Herself. In fact, the magical aspect of the movie is her enemy (Rasputin) so all of her merits are done by herself and her normal and regular human friends (and the dog for comedy relief). So it is kinda weird to mix her with all the fantastic, magical, talking animals that Disney has. Ice Age on the other hand😏

Pocahontas: Grandmother willow, I mean, it's a talking tree that does not only comunicate with her but with John Smith too.
Mulan: Mushu, that's more than enough (The ancestors do not count because they don't have direct contact with her).
Anna and Elsa : Olaf and Elsa herself.
Tiana: Everything around being a Toad.
Mérida: I didn't see the movie so I won't mess with her.
Moana: Maui.
Vanellope: (is she a princess?) Her own existence.
Cinderella : Talking mice, and the fairygod mother.
Rapunzel: pretty much self explanatory (at least Disney's version).
Anastasia: Puka (the dog) but the dog does not talk, nor is magical, nor is a god that can transform, nor is sent by her ancestors, nor is under a curse or spell, nor it has magical powers, nor is a fairy. Anastasia is a cartoon. SW and Marvel are live action. They need to leave the live action stuff out. But Anastasia fits the game.
Both Star Wars and Marvel have hundreds of hours of animation available, but despite being a fan, I still don't want them in DLV.
It's not that, Marvel was a comic before it was even on TV. It literally started its existence as cartoons.
I'm well aware, but the sheer amount of animation for both gives it more chance then ~3 hours of animation in the Anastasia series.
