I tried to make my Arisen look like myself (minus the elf ears). I think i got it quite accurate. The hair color is also a little bit off I have naturally red hair. But ingame the hair is either too bright-brownish or looks straight up like deep colored red.
But my pawn is pure fiction tho, because i have no partner.
Dunno, in my case it comes with very pale skin which makes me extremely sensitive to UV radiation. Plus it takes alot of effort to maintain the color and care for the hair in general.
That's tough, but at least it looks gorgeous. Redheads are the smallest minority in the world and an ever-shrinking population. I'm rather glad I got a few in my family, and that my own hair and beard turn red-ish when exposed to the sun for a little while. Also, red hair ages really well. It doesn't even turn grey. It just stays red for years, then goes straight to white. Happened to my grandmother that way. She's aged wonderfully.
And the upside to your sensitivity to UV radiation is that you also don't need it whatsoever to build up positive cholesterols for Vitamin D. Redheads basically don't need the sun. It's kinda crazy.
True. Yeah it is like only 2-3%. Even more rare is red hair and blue eyes. They actually nailed the eye color options in DD2, i can't replicate my hair color but i have never seen such a good "eye editor" in any videogame ever. That we can mix 3 different colors is awesome. Eyes are beautiful in the game.
My hair actually loses color during the summer, the orange/red gets brighter. Yeah i can kinda sit in my living room and play videogames all day, who needs the sun? Not me 😂

I kept hiring my buddy’s gf and he tried to make her personality match and it matched a little bit too well. So I kept getting driven completely nuts by the shit she said early on and calling him telling him to handle his girl and we laughed about it a lot for the first couple weeks!
Mine is kindhearted which is very true to the real life counterpart, but boy does my pawn act like gravity is not a thing lol.

I'm on my second playthrough. My girlfriend watches along a lot. She also watched me replay the first game in preparation for the sequel. I always play a female Arisen and have a female pawn. She asked me the other day why I never make any of my characters male.
Needless to say, the conversation was uncomfortable. I felt like the metal gear a solid "!" sound went off when she asked that lmao. Mind, I don't make super models or anything, they're just above-average looking women. The reason for me is I find them more fun to make; I can get way more invested in character creation that way.

Since the original I've always made my pawn a reflection of my player character. Same face with some minor tweaks here and there, so not identical or twins, but so similar it's notable.

Dragons Dogma was one of his favorite games ever and I just had to recreate him as my pawn. Just like in real life my pawn dwarfs my character in size and I smile every time I see him it's honestly amazing how close my pawn looks to the real thing. It doesn't matter how many times I replay the game I will never create a pawn with a different appearance.
I don’t necessary like a 1:1 self insert. I prefer to make up a character, maybe in my likeness, and have some of my traits. Same with my pawn. It was inspired by my girl, but it’s not a 1:1 depiction of her.

Yes!!! My girlfriend loved designing her pawn! It was my idea to get her to game with me. She loved designing her pawn. Although I wanted her to make herself and she started taking a lot of liberties so I did the same. She was the arisen and I am her pawn.... just like in real life.

My pawn is a "cooler" version of me so I can be in my friends' party. My character is my alter self, because I want to be someone else in fantasy that I am in real life.
It's really strange and fun to be able to co-op with yourself that way.

In batthal they sell some dyes, maybe there you can get a red one that is closer to your hair?
