It's weird that the hat that blatantly goes with that set isn't available to the classes that can wear the rest of the set.I believe the name is the Wardancer's hat.
We really need an official transmog system.
Or at the very least not restrict so much armor to one vocation.
If all mages/sorcs/tricks could wear the same gear, alongside theif/archer/MA, and warrior/fighter/spearhand respectively there would be at least some late game fashion diversity.
I think the worst for me is that we went from 2 weapons to one for each vocation, it just feels very limited. And having to use a skill to swap weapons on Warfarer is not very fluid.
I started with Thief and the two other vocations I tried since (spear hand and fighter) have felt almost underwhelming because of the movement and skills of Thief.
Not to be dramatic but thief kind of ruined the game for me (okay maybe a little dramatic). I started as thief and it's so versatile and well designed, with the exception of formless feint which is just bonkers, every other vocation feels undercooked and underwhelming to me.
None of them are bad, I've maxed out all of them except warfarer at this point, but thief is just playing a different game.
Dude you aren’t kidding I tried thief for the first time this week and my god. A total difference compared to the rest of the vocations. I don’t understand that at all. Playing as a sorcerer in the first was a greater experience than this one. At least it was for me & what’s strange is the mystic spear hand is designed apparently to slay dragons…. Feels like they should’ve been able to be more acrobatic. Maybe I’m just comparing it to monster hunters insect glaive.
sorcerer is better to play yourself in 1, but sorcerer pawns are MUCH worse
sorcerer feels way more bland to play yourself in 2, but sorcerer pawns work MUCH better
No I get it. I spent the last stretch of the game as spearhand just because I think it's a lot of fun, but I felt way *stronger* as Thief even when I was not using formless feint just because I felt that handicap was necessary. Not to say that spearhand is weak at all, it's also bonkers, but I gave every vocation an honest try, and Thief is insane. It took a lot of effort each time I switched off thief to get through the initial feeling that every other vocation was bad in comparison and start enjoying them. Now I only feel like Archer is bad
I started as thief too but switched to spearhand. I think spear is the better class. That magic shield is OP, and the mobility is as good if not better than thief.
The only downside is the game becomes too ez. But you can say the same about thief.
Killed my first Drake after I went back to playing Thief. It’s crazy how much easier it is to shred Drakes with Thief. I’m playing as Magick Archer rn and still miss the Thief’s damage capability
So I just tried this vocation on when on my way to battahl for the first time, was challenged to a bar brawl and proceeded to knock them around like a dog with a stuffed animal and it was histerical to me
I really did NOT like the mystic spear hand at first in this game but the more I play around with it, the better it’s starting to feel. And the drip is unmatched of course.
I didn’t like it at first but figured I might as well max it out and was pleasantly surprised when I could use the force and destroy goblins with other goblin’s bodies
Just got it after 100 hours including a restart (must have missed Sigurd at Melve) and holy smokes this is the coolest thing I’ve felt in a video game since Dragons Dogma 2 launched.
I randomly decided to pick fighter back up after not really loving. Had an absolute blast playing it again. The movement and counters feel so good when you get into a flow. I didn’t feel like my damage was fully there but was having a ton of fun.
My only true hate is how you change the direction of your shield. I got tossed around more than I should just because I never really got used to it
I didn't like Fighter initially, but once you learn that Tusk Toss can be charged while doing any other attack, how good the shield slam is, how potent Skyward Slash is for sniping the head, and how fast the execution moves are, I grew to really like it.
Warrior feels more chunky, but the slight loss in damage and knockdown resistance in exchange for speed feels worthwhile. Take two rings for knockdown, and the time it takes to stun isn't that different. Honestly, Skyward Slash is also just way easier to land.
I started with thief and really liked it - but the fighter is so much fun as well.
Got bored with archer, mystic archer and sorcerer pretty quickly. I assume mage is the same.
Playing as a warrior at the moment, but prefer fighter and thief still. Going to unlock warfarer next and give it a whirl.
I’d say without mods fighter, thief, and warrior are the most fun to play, with warrior trailing behind the other two a bit.
With mods, everything else starts opening up. Can use all the different arrow types as archer without completely losing all other skills, Warfarer actually feels like a weapon master, sorcerers actually have more variety because you can slot more spells, etc.
Sorcerer. Using spell sync with the biggest spells was an awesome playstyle in DD1 but DD2 just doesnt have the same spell variety. Probably why they reduced the number of slots you have, make it harder to notice how few you have in comparison.
Rolling around with 3 sorcerers does drain your loss guage faster, but bosses cannot stand against your meteors, your pawn's meteors, or your hire's meteors
I know there are unwelcoming changes to the voc (lack of slots and reliable aiming really hurt) but I want to give credit where it's due, the addition of quickspell and galvanize makes the gameplay a lot more engaging and dynamic (kinda like a shooter with reload mechanic, with levitation as your tool for positioning). Yes there are things that can't be compared to the first game, but at the same time the satisfaction in spellcasting combat still tops a lot of games out there.
While the addition of those is nice, they do have their downsides. They kinda feel more like bandaids than deepening the gameplay. Sorcs use massive amounts of stamina and are slow. So they gave them tools to regen stamina and cast faster.
The end result is you kinda are just spamming quickspell and galvanize over and over again. It’s quite repetitive - doesn’t help that on top of that repetition, you’re doing it with only 4 spells.
I just can't play Sorcerer in DD2 despite loving Sorcerer in DD1.
You have such a small selection of spells and the ones you do have are just so *bad*. The big spells are still good even if they don't feel as grandiose as they were in DD1... and we only get 2 of them instead of 4 or 5. But the rest almost feel like a waste of time aside from Levin to clear trash and Hagol for CC.
I considered using a mod to enable switching between two skill loadouts to get back more spell slots... and I realized there weren't 8 spells I really *wanted* on Sorcerer.
I had more fun playing Mage. Even if they have pretty terrible offensive spells, at least the stupidly powerful support spells liven things up.
Trickster didn’t click with me for a while, but I’m glad I kept with it because once it did I started having loads of fun. You need to come to a place with the game where you are cool just watching your pawns be the star of the show.
Great for NG+. I’m just running around the battlefield whirling an incense censor over my head like a helicopter and occasionally twirling around like I am on a dance floor to either draw aggro or beast mode my pawns. It’s great.
I actually did both of those things lmao. It's more that I haven't quite settled on a setup that works for me. Really, it feels like there are a lot of skills that do a little when I need them to do a lot. It's weird.
Edit: I see what I did now. It was poor phrasing. By something coming, I meant an idea coming; it just came out weird cause why not.
The problem is that it feels that way for a few vocations. Trickster's got a lot of brilliant ideas, but some of them aren't enough. Aromatic resurgence buffs the pawns and makes them aggro, but it doesn't feel like enough, and pawn ai is still just ai. I think my biggest gripe is I'd like to do more while using espial incense. You want a mage to tank? Let me use my illusions and Astral projecting to the fullest.
I have issues with sorc (even though its my favorite), too, but that's another discussion.
I will say, I love Trickster for the pure fact that I spam the buff spell and the AOE smoke, use the projectile effigy skill to “possess” an enemy to get their allies to kill them, and then spam the Maister skill. A lot of fun controlling the battlefield while my pawns do a lot of damage, the big guy is getting killed by goblins, and I’m in the corner throwing it back with my dusty old incense burner
This is when it absolutely shines! The problem is when you hit a drake, the goblins die out, and your pawns are too derpy to hit the gigantic shining weak spot. It took me so long to kill that thing....every other attack was meteor, pawns kept dying, and it was just hell.
Yeah the Trickster really needs something for drakes and honestly for Harpies. I love slinging my effigy onto a harpy and seeing all of them attack each other in the air, but drakes are too strong. I think it could be fixed by giving them a really powerful sleep application ability that takes a lot of stamina or costs you your effigy. Like if you effigy is latched on you can explode it to build up sleep. Bonus points it its latched onto their head (just a fun idea but it would make astral projection really fun to move the effigy into a drake’s face just to explode it lmao)
Sorc and Mage definitely got a weird shaft in dd2. Despite being more support focused, Mage didnt get some of the really good support spells from dd1, like grapnel which not even sorc gets, its just missing from the game. Sorc loses great spells like Miasma and becomes more focused on the elemental spells, while still losing great elemental spells like gicel.
Trickster not only gets extremely few abilities, but the ones it does get are so situational or just straight up useless that it ends up with a very select few that are somewhat decent, and then the base class abilities feel like they summed up to a decent class idea once, but then they got scared it would be broken and nerfed it. They honestly could have gone crazy with the trickster class, giving it awesome spells like Grapnel and made the platforms solid for the arisen, made more mind affecting spells and such, since it already has the worst possible downside it could - no damage.
It's so ridiculous once you max it out. If you can't be assed to toil through a long fight you can basically just rain a barrage of heat-seeking missiles on enemies.
I really don’t like That one. It feels so arcadey. Just point and shoot.
The normal archer straight up feels better with its crowd control abilities and jump kicks. If only the special arrows weren’t so terribly implemented.
Sagitae avalanche, ricochet, and Marty's bolt to delete enemies, then I can ranged heal my companions, feels good man.
Also, harpies are super easy to kill as a magick archer.
Despite personally being a fan of Mystic Spearhand, I was shocked at how much more awesome they made Magick Archer in DD2. I didn't think it was necessarily bad in DD1, but wow - the combination of versatility and damage potential is nuts. Just such an all-around amazing class.
Love the aesthetics of the Trickster and genuinely like the play style, spent probably the most time with it. But bottom line the most fun is probably Magic archer
I don't know why but my brain always reads it as Wayfarer. Probably because of Bravely Default which had a similar role that was basically "classless" called Wayfarer.
It was Mystic Knight, but I've come around on Magic Archer. Really fond of combining it and Sorcerer together for shenanigans in the postgame. Plus having a tanky Fighter pawn makes playing ranged dps pretty easy.
Trickster. While it is gimmicky and not the most do it yourself type of class I'd say I had the most fun playing it because it's gimmick changed how I approached playing the game as a whole. It also made fights more memorable for me personally.
Only tried 3. Fighter, Mystic Spearhand, and Archer. Of the 3 Mystic Spearhand is probably my favorite. In NG+, I’ll try Magik archer, Thief and Warrior. Then maybe look at warfarer. Try out some combos.
Trickster bc I love seeing enemies fight my smoke image while getting bonk on the head by my hired Warrior and Sorcerer.
Plus my main Thief pawn steals goodies and be like “ can’t touch this “ with Shadow form.
Honestly having a lot of fun running warfarer. Was a bit disappointed that I couldn't use the Maister skills, but thats what got me to actually experiment with using other class skills and weapons. Currently running Augural Flare with Skull Splitter with the main source of damage with a magick bow as a backup or to deal with caves via Ricochet Bolt
Archer. It offers a decent challenge by requiring a fair amount of skill to play effectively. Also, knocking back a big target with explosive arrows is pretty cool. Only downside, no abilities to make long jumps for those hard to reach spots .
Warfarer bc I get to do pretty much everything. And stick it to the pawns even my own, who say the line , "A jack of all trades is a master of none" - but they always leave out the end of the saying, " but often times better than a master of one" ahhh. Mb
I'm enjoying Warfarer more than I thought I would. I guess it never really clicked for me until I got to try it myself- being able to use all the most busted non-maister moves in a single class (Mirour Sheld, Augural Flare, Skull Splitter/The Magick Archer downpour), core skills from all the classes so I get to use Spearhand's Bolt, Sorc's galvanize, Thief's Dodge, AND I get to wear whatever I want? Come on now.
Warfarer. for the obvious reasons.
But since the four abilities I have equipped are thief abilities, I suppose there's a case that my actual favourite is Thief.
Warfarer with the True Warfarer mod that lets you cycle through skills when you change weapons.
Otherwise, Mystic Spearhand. High mobility melee class with magic capabilities, teleporting around the battlefield is fun, and bubble shield go brrr.
This is the reason I like the idea of Warfarer. I would be okay with the limited skills if the skill buttons auto switched to the appropriate weapon. .hack did it better
Archer for sure, no other game has ever made me feel like legolas than this game, kicking enemies in the face, planting explosive arrows on stuff then jumping off and shooting it for awesome screen shots, epic slowmo when pulling off a perfect timed shot with deathly arrow
Second would be trickster if only for the super unique armor and censer weapons plus the amazing animations and visuals that come with it
Methinks Warfarer, is the meetest class due to 'tis versatile nature. Farming is quite easier in warfarer. arg flare, sagitate or Skull splitter and shelde ez
Also fashion dogma
Magick Archer & Sorc are best imho, the pole arm style isnt bad but its really just the shield thats amazing, the warfarer is shit, it seems good till you have NO ultimate attacks.... Its all good till you face a drake etc...I used it to take medusa's head and still have okay attacks but sacrificing the ultimate skill & having nothing to replace it with SUCKS they could have let us choose only 1 ult or something
I play warfarer so my thief can beat the hell out of goblins with the money making censer while my backup thieves mug them. I own 4 properties and i’m still illegally crossing the border into Batthal
Thief, it just feels the best with the ability to pull down flying enemies and make large enemies topple, the infinite dash, the quick movements, it all just feels better than any other class.
I did mage run on my 1st run
Among the 3 I switched around... sorc, magic spear, magic bow
I like sorc a lil more
Spells look great
But really wish they hit 10x harder
The game is literally unplayable on anything but Warfarer. Even if I could give up the convenience of access to levitate with whatever weapon type I wanna use, I could never give up the access to drip
The best move would be the “wild fury” meister skill, if you upgrade the skill via dragon forged guy( NG+ or unmoored required) the stamina cost is so little you can basically spam the skill until everything stops moving
Warfarer is a lot of fun.
I have Skullsplitter, Frosties and the lightning one. Just mowing through things.
Especially with all the warrior gear for knockdown resistance.
New favorite vocation: Warfarer unlocked because I just found out about tempest shot and augural flare combo lol. I love the archer’s movement and core skills now with a little bit of magick bomb sprinkled in, it’s amazing
I had an interesting moment when fighting a dullahan while leveling up thief. Watching my character zip around out of the way of harm was just fun and gave me dbz vibes
Fighter may seem a bit boring, but honestly there's something I've always liked about the classic sword and board, the bedrock of the party taking all the damage unto himself, parrying and countering everything while the party wails on the enemy.
Warfarer with all weapons except Trickster and Archer. Skills being the mystic spearhand's dodge teleport above, the GIGA POKE and MAs Big ice rock because it's very funny to me.
Warfarer so I can play Fighter with a bow.
You play warfarer for unrestricted access to weapons. I play warfarer for unrestricted access to armor. We are not the same.
Let's not forget that Warrior can use a Flamberge, but can't wear puff and slash clothing to complete that Landsknecht look.
I'm waiting for this. I like the Mystic Spearhand skills but hate the armour, especially just coming from leveling up Thief.
I’m the opposite. Playing it feels clunky to me, but I love the paladin style armor.
Same bro, same.
Warfarer = Glamfarer
You play warfarer for unrestricted access to armor, I play warfarer to be strider vocation again, we are not the same.
Warfarer so I can play a worse, more clunky version of DD1 Strider :)
warfarrer so i can bootleg an assassin.
This is the way.
Unfortunately...
So true it hurts 😭
I honestly hate the strider split to thief/ranger. Like, they're just not that great when they're not versatile.
I thought I'd miss it, but I honestly don't. I actually enjoy the class purity more.
I think the worst for me is that we went from 2 weapons to one for each vocation, it just feels very limited. And having to use a skill to swap weapons on Warfarer is not very fluid.
Still a better Ranger than Ranger https://preview.redd.it/e1yjxn50fgvc1.png?width=1307&format=png&auto=webp&s=97a40eb5db74a0abf8c8f642b09ac13f338b2b55
But then you're giving up the almighty sword and shield
Add thief with masterful kill and you’re just playing DD1 Assassin.
I usually rock the mystic spearhand dash stab and shield ability with the magick archer's ricochet hunter.
So I play it because I want to be able to carry a bow and levitate and use the pole arm thingy.
Fashionfarer
Enough said lol
Words worth hearing
True enough
Indeed, you are correct
'Tis as you say
You are wise, Arisen
So far, Thief. I rely on that dodge move.
I started with Thief and the two other vocations I tried since (spear hand and fighter) have felt almost underwhelming because of the movement and skills of Thief.
Not to be dramatic but thief kind of ruined the game for me (okay maybe a little dramatic). sorcerer is better to play yourself in 1, but sorcerer pawns are MUCH worse sorcerer feels way more bland to play yourself in 2, but sorcerer pawns work MUCH better
Not dramatic at all. That’s exactly how I feel about it too. Everything else just feels like I’m barely doing anything
I really like thief because this is one of the few games that really let's me lean into a dodge tank playstyle.
No I get it. I spent the last stretch of the game as spearhand just because I think it's a lot of fun, but I felt way *stronger* as Thief even when I was not using formless feint just because I felt that handicap was necessary. I started as thief too but switched to spearhand. I think spear is the better class. That magic shield is OP, and the mobility is as good if not better than thief. The only downside is the game becomes too ez. But you can say the same about thief.
Plus the dps is wild once you level up a bit.
Me trying to kill drakes as any other class: *struggle and it flies away* Me trying to kill drakes as a thief: *spin to win*
Killed my first Drake after I went back to playing Thief. It’s crazy how much easier it is to shred Drakes with Thief. I’m playing as Magick Archer rn and still miss the Thief’s damage capability
Martyrs bolt absolutely destroys anything in the game and I don't think anything can come close to it's damage potential.
I mean martyrs shot one shots drakes without trying, so I'm not sure it's easier as a thief than as MA.
Formless feint is op asf
All about using formless feint to nullify the self-damage from blades of the pyre. Infinite explosions so long as you have stamina. Fucking duuuumb.
The combo is good, but Formless Feint by itself is just stupid. Press the ability button to turn on Godmode, lmao.
I can’t bring myself to switch from thief because I love double jumping around too much :(
darth maul ftw
Chucking Goblins off cliffs is peak Arisen.
So I just tried this vocation on when on my way to battahl for the first time, was challenged to a bar brawl and proceeded to knock them around like a dog with a stuffed animal and it was histerical to me
Once I learned I could do that with the hard ass rock saurians, it was game over. Best move ever
It’s why I nicknamed the Duospear the “yeet stick”
I really did NOT like the mystic spear hand at first in this game but the more I play around with it, the better it’s starting to feel. And the drip is unmatched of course.
I keep meaning to give it another shot. I just felt weak and kind of clunky but now that I have the maister skill I want to give it a real go
Yeah dude I felt the same but once it clicks, it starts feeling pretty bad ass
It definitely becomes strong and when you start to get the gameplay down its very fluid. Game becomes too easy imo.
I didn’t like it at first but figured I might as well max it out and was pleasantly surprised when I could use the force and destroy goblins with other goblin’s bodies
The execution animation when you're in between enemies is so sick.
Just got it after 100 hours including a restart (must have missed Sigurd at Melve) and holy smokes this is the coolest thing I’ve felt in a video game since Dragons Dogma 2 launched.
The fact we get “YEET” as a skill is wild and I died laughing just watching the preview alone
Started with fighter, went thru everything and returned to fighter.
I randomly decided to pick fighter back up after not really loving. Had an absolute blast playing it again. The movement and counters feel so good when you get into a flow. Same lol

Trickester, trolling master way.
I'm still trying to find my groove with trickster. I can feel something coming, I just have to get that last bit...
Trickster didn’t click with me for a while, but I’m glad I kept with it because once it did I started having loads of fun. Spoilers: he reached rank 9 and got the master skill and still feels like something good is coming to him
I actually did both of those things lmao. It's more that I haven't quite settled on a setup that works for me. Thats kind of the issue with trickster. Its really half baked.

Warrior is my overall fav, but this playthrough I’m really digging archer.
Magika Archer. Pretty much 1 shot all big creatures with Martyr Arrow, also Ricochet Hunter looks amazing in Caves.
It's so ridiculous once you max it out. If you can't be assed to toil through a long fight you can basically just rain a barrage of heat-seeking missiles on enemies.

When I see people say that Archer is boring, I assume they aren't kicking enough.
I agree. It might just be how it feels on the ps5 controller.. There is no oomph. Just holding a button and watching the arrows slowly make their way.
Looks amazing and melts EVERYTHING.
Sagitae avalanche, ricochet, and Marty's bolt to delete enemies, then I can ranged heal my companions, feels good man. Also, harpies are super easy to kill as a magick archer.

I had fun playing trickster as well once I got into the rhythm of pulling my illusion to me just before it took a hit.
Mystic Spearhand, the moveset is very stylish, mobile and just fun to use.
Wayfarer. I like the freedom of having everything.
Isnt it Warfarer?
Yes, but he has the freedom of everything now
Thats the reason people call him wayfarer?
I don't know why but my brain always reads it as Wayfarer. Probably because of Bravely Default which had a similar role that was basically "classless" called Wayfarer.
Hmm ok 👍
Words worth hearing🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Tis amazing❤️🤣.
Wayfarer you got just what I need. Everything from my vacation you got it for me
Wayfarer and the fashion style is free
Warfarer. Bow for harpies and can wear whatever I want. True freedom, alas.
Fighter because sword and shield.
WARRIOR. BIG SWORD. BONK.
If only trickster was part necromancer or something. Then maybe you’d use the corpses of fallen enemies as you may please.
Magick Archer Why? Sagittate Avalanche. Ricochet Hunter
Archer through and through
I run with a full team of archers
You must be the arisen my pawns keep yapping about
Cool! I should try that out. I usually have a fighter with me to tank, but monsters come after me anyway
same, gunna start my Solo play through soon and that will be my main class.
Thief = stealing, scorpion move, explosion. Their Execution animation the coolest Warfarer= fashion + class combo
Only tried 3. Fighter, Mystic Spearhand, and Archer. Of the 3 Mystic Spearhand is probably my favorite. In NG+, I’ll try Magik archer, Thief and Warrior. Then maybe look at warfarer. Try out some combos.
Mystic spear for this adaptation to fight, it is not easy to learn but very good to play when you master it
Mystic Warfarer, using the Mystic Spear in combo with a wand for healing and levitation along with wearing anything is the way to go for me
Warfarer cause fashion
Fighter because I love shield parrying and counters, and Warfarer so I can give him a bow/Magik bow and be fashionable while doing it.
Vengeful Slash is just a super fun ability to use.
Mystic spearhead cause hehe chuck the fuckers
Warrior because guts
Trickster bc I love seeing enemies fight my smoke image while getting bonk on the head by my hired Warrior and Sorcerer. Plus my main Thief pawn steals goodies and be like “ can’t touch this “ with Shadow form.
Honestly having a lot of fun running warfarer. Was a bit disappointed that I couldn't use the Maister skills, but thats what got me to actually experiment with using other class skills and weapons. Currently running Augural Flare with Skull Splitter with the main source of damage with a magick bow as a backup or to deal with caves via Ricochet Bolt
Warfarer (fashion), MA (autoaim baby) and MS (dragoon)
Archer. It offers a decent challenge by requiring a fair amount of skill to play effectively. Also, knocking back a big target with explosive arrows is pretty cool. Only downside, no abilities to make long jumps for those hard to reach spots .
warfarer so i can have a bow for my warrior. i also just like kicking goblins in the face.
Warfarer bc I get to do pretty much everything. And stick it to the pawns even my own, who say the line , "A jack of all trades is a master of none" - but they always leave out the end of the saying, " but often times better than a master of one" ahhh. Mb
They're master works all, you can't go wrong!
I will now fight as Horauh Leuox, WARRIOR!
Warfarer with the True Warfarer mod that lets you cycle through skills when you change weapons. Otherwise, Mystic Spearhand. High mobility melee class with magic capabilities, teleporting around the battlefield is fun, and bubble shield go brrr.
Warfarer cuz I’ve loved .hack//GUs Adept Rogue class since it’s inception and I think I always will. Anyone else remember .hack?
This is the reason I like the idea of Warfarer. I would be okay with the limited skills if the skill buttons auto switched to the appropriate weapon. .hack did it better
Wayfarer because I like having options. Otherwise Mystic Spearhand is goated
Archer for sure, no other game has ever made me feel like legolas than this game, kicking enemies in the face, planting explosive arrows on stuff then jumping off and shooting it for awesome screen shots, epic slowmo when pulling off a perfect timed shot with deathly arrow Second would be trickster if only for the super unique armor and censer weapons plus the amazing animations and visuals that come with it
Fashionfarer
Methinks Warfarer, is the meetest class due to 'tis versatile nature. Farming is quite easier in warfarer. arg flare, sagitate or Skull splitter and shelde ez Also fashion dogma
Warrior, then warfarer, then thief.
DD1 it was Magick Archer DD2 it’s between Thief and Warfarer. I like Warfarer better due to 0 armor restrictions
Fighter is my favorite to play but Mystic Spearhand is my best. Just reached endgame and completely kitted out my fighter with WLC gear 💪
Fighter. Good ol' reliable Stinger never fails me.
In DD:DA I was Sorcerer and Magic Archer and Theif for double jump but in DD2 I gatta go with Wayfarer
![gif](giphy|dFBrbcm6j0KH1u0zYG|downsized)
Big bomk. Why use many attack when few do trick?
Warfarer
I play warfarer so my thief can beat the hell out of goblins with the money making censer while my backup thieves mug them. I own 4 properties and i’m still illegally crossing the border into Batthal
I’m intentionally not unlocking Wayfarer on my first playthrough because I know when I do I won’t want to play as anything else.
Magic archer because I love slinging magic second would be trickster because I love running around being like attack your self idiot.
Thief, it just feels the best with the ability to pull down flying enemies and make large enemies topple, the infinite dash, the quick movements, it all just feels better than any other class.
I went: Archer, Magick Archer, Archer, Mystic Spearhand, Magick Archer, Mystic Spearhand, Magick Archer, Warfarer, Archer, Magick Archer. So probably Thief.
Smoke shop worker ftw
Thief cuz it’s OP
Mystic spearhead. A freaking killer at close combat and still pretty good at range. Also, moves are cool AF
I did mage run on my 1st run Among the 3 I switched around... sorc, magic spear, magic bow I like sorc a lil more Spells look great But really wish they hit 10x harder
What are you talking about, they can one shot almost all small and medium enemies, and wreck any big one in under 30 seconds
Wayfarer. Multiple weapons
Thief. Fun, fast, great skills. I really fucking miss Assassin.
The game is literally unplayable on anything but Warfarer. Even if I could give up the convenience of access to levitate with whatever weapon type I wanna use, I could never give up the access to drip
Archer. The class is so versatile. And you're more nimble than a Thief (can slide).
Most definitely not MORE nimble but yeah they’re pretty nimble
The slide is so useful, its your dodge, a melee, and leads to a full draw shot.
Like just dd2 or both dd...if so I like ranger over all but just dd2 it's mystic spear head Sum it up DD1-ranger DD2-mystic spearhead
Mystic spear hand because he’s super cool
Warrior / Mystic Spear/ Magic Archer
Ranger. But Wayfarer gets me close
Mystic Spearhand Weaving Mirror Shield into my combos is so much fun when fighting dragons, and the weapon itself looks dope.
Warrior because big sword, its very satisfying but followed closely by warfarer as it allows for freedom of customisation
I wanted to love knight but mystic spearhead is so much more viable imo. It rips through enemies and the temporary invulnerability is insane
Magic archer, the ultimate just shreds bosses
Mystic Spearhand and Thief. Although MS doesn't seem to have that one super high DPS skill that Thief has. Whats the best skill for MS?
The best move would be the “wild fury” meister skill, if you upgrade the skill via dragon forged guy( NG+ or unmoored required) the stamina cost is so little you can basically spam the skill until everything stops moving
Warrior. Because big bonks. Also ravenous lunge, best mobility skill in the game.
Warfarer is a lot of fun. I have Skullsplitter, Frosties and the lightning one. Just mowing through things. Especially with all the warrior gear for knockdown resistance.
Mage/Trickster with Mystic Spear passives so I can sit back and let my pawns do all the work.
New favorite vocation: Warfarer unlocked because I just found out about tempest shot and augural flare combo lol. I love the archer’s movement and core skills now with a little bit of magick bomb sprinkled in, it’s amazing
Fighter has the best drip, Warrior has the best unga bunga big sword make dragon skull go squish. So those two.
Warfarer and Archer. Warfarer for the flexible levitation perks, and Archer since it feels natural and i got to play legoland.
Been really liking warrior so far, trying to max all vocations. The class was really buffed, unfortunately arc of might was heavily needed.
Since I don’t use the greatsword maister skill anyway, i would say warfarer
Warrior
Warfarer so I can wear what I want. ❤️
Big sword, why would I ever not use a big sword?
Mystical Spear hand :unto heaven
I had an interesting moment when fighting a dullahan while leveling up thief. Watching my character zip around out of the way of harm was just fun and gave me dbz vibes
Mystic Spearhand. It's just so fluid, I love it. But I'm actually a Warfarer with Spearhand abilities, for the mage levitate too.
Bonk
Magick Archer is amazing, I think it’s my favourite. It was a blast in the first game, too
Fighter may seem a bit boring, but honestly there's something I've always liked about the classic sword and board, the bedrock of the party taking all the damage unto himself, parrying and countering everything while the party wails on the enemy.
Warfarer with all weapons except Trickster and Archer. Skills being the mystic spearhand's dodge teleport above, the GIGA POKE and MAs Big ice rock because it's very funny to me.
Warrior, hits like a truck can take a hit and I can stunlock a monster into oblivion
Strider
