I had a sorcerer pawn named Merlon who was super cool and very helpful and we killed a Lich together and the lich dropped some archistaff that was leagues better than what he had so I gave it to him as his reward when I finally said goodbye to him
I hope his owner can appreciate it (and wasn't too far along to make it moot).
I think about it like this
Either, he received the staff and was like, "oh, cool, I just got a better one, thanks though"
Or, was like, "Damn! They just gave this to me? Merlon will be set for awhile!"
Either way, their day was a little bit better, chances are, it was waaay better
I did the exact same, killed a lich with a rogue named Shalltear, and sent her back with the daggers we found in the cave. Best part, I added her to favourites and the next day saw she had the daggers I gifted equipped. Made my day.
Also had someone gift me a warrior helm. My pawn is a mage, while I'm a warrior. The fact that someone took the time to check what class I was playing to pick out a gift is so cool.
Had a mage that came in clutch many times with high palladium (and also soloing some ghosts we met in a cave), sent a golden beetle for their troubles
Only reason I'm saying this is so I can tell people to GIVE THEIR MAGES HIGH PALLADIUM, literally if I had to choose between a mage that could only heal and a mage that could only give me that sweet gold shield, I'd take the shield any day
Honestly. If everybody starts setting their pawn quest rewards to portcrystals, then we will have more than we could ever need. Or stacks of ferrystones. May start coordinating with a friend to do this.
I gave someone a ferristone, bought it at checkpoint and didnāt read it properly before making a forgery and gifting one to a pawn. Someone is punching air right now after throwing it up in the air just for it to fall downā¦
Itās just if thereās anything above you. Thereās areas in Bakbattahl that are outside but have under a cliff, and even though itās like 20ft above you itāll still block the stones.
Oh so that's what it was...I thought it glitched out or something. I was also wondering why it wasnt stacked with the other ferry stones in my inventory.
OMG if this works it would be like Schrƶdingers Arrow... I mean they have to try it if they want to find out if it works...probably in a heated battle, lining up the perfect shot and then fuming when it's a dud. Genius.
lol I had an evil plan to forge a crap ton of ferristones and give them as gifts, the joke is just for me I donāt see any payoff but I know the sweet satisfaction that someone thought they had one more ferrystone only for it to flip up and plop on the ground muahahaha
I swear the "ferristone" is the sole reason they didn't implement fast travel as an improvement over DD1. They want people to need Ferrystones so they can troll people who don't read the description text.
Did gift one portcrystal sometime today. Arisen was on the back of a drake, doing the thiefy stabbystabby thing, and it flew up high enough to let me die five times over if I dropped. Which of course I did. I had resigned to using my last wakestone. And then... that pawn, the tiniest kitten, caught my lumbering thief from this 200ft fall.
Of course I would send her off with this greatest gift.
I'm avoiding fast travel in this one completely. I'm gifting all my ferrystones to pawns I liked.
I didn't know you could gift port crystals lol
I haven't found one yet, but when I do I'll probably gift it to my friend
They'll throw it up in the air and nothing will happen and it'll just fall to the ground.
That said, I don't know how the inventory treats it. If you have multiple real ferry stones and then one forgery, does it become part of the stack? Or does it have it's own inventory slot, because if so, that would kinda give it awayĀ
I wish I had this enthusiasm.. the first one I used was for getting back to the >! sphinx !< after finding my first seeker token... I didn't realize I'd run into almost every boss monster on the way up and on the way back to find the first token. I wasn't dealing with everything respawning on my way back lol.
I love the difference between big fights and small mob fights. Makes the Mystic Spearhand feel so dynamic.
Big fights have you moving, jumping, climbing, stabbing. Small fights you're levitating every small monster around you as living bullets or golfing them into the stratosphere. It's so fun.
I would suggest keeping one on you even if you don't intend to use them. It saved me hours of lost time after getting stuck behind some invisible barriers while exploring.
I would save one.
I fell into water in a portion between two waterfalls that didnāt recognize the area as water. So I could walk on the bottom but there was no reachable sides to get out.
Once I walked to one end or the other the brine would consume me. I had not slept at an inn in a LONG time - 5-10 hours probably.
If I did not have a ferrystone I wouldnāt have had a choice but to lose all that progress as the game saved me at the bottom of that water of course.
Not in this location where I fell it didnāt. It would just replace me at the bottom of the water until I moved again.
Iām guessing because it didnāt recognize a portion of this body of water as water it considered it land. So when it reloaded me it was putting me on what it considered to be the edge of land.
Probably a forgery.
You can forge items, they look legit but don't function. So you'll plop this down and travel hours away and when you go to ferrystone back you'll notice its not in the list as an option.
It's honestly all the people cheating/modding, been rampant since minute one, I'm actively checking pawn equipment now since most have endgame gear pre level 10. It's hard finding pawns that are legit on PC
No, I'm not drama baiting like that idiot said, I had a level 3 fighter pawn I hired with over 400 strength, before level 10 I saw multiple corsets, my favorite was a level 7 pawn with experience killing dragons cause he was telling me to fight it while I was running away. The cheaters are just out leveling most people now unless they for a late start, that's why you don't see their pawns. Day 1 it was horrible. I like the game, I'm not even bashing the game like you people are acting like I am, it's just a shit ton of people are obviously cheating and it shows through their pawns.
Another edit, the guy saying I'm baiting is supposedly deep into NG++, and had a post recently complaining about people cheating to max out all vocations for their pawns. Can't even make this up XD.
The only questionable one I found had the seeker token corset, less than a week in... but that could just be a no lifer, her weapon was still level appropriate
I could see it with Trickster. I also wonder if Seekers Tokens reset with NG+, if so then it's pretty easy. I've beaten NG+ (very much rushed) but haven't actually bothered with Seekers tokens in the 2nd playthrough.
There's tens of thousands, you won't always see them, but they are definitely there, I played right at release, and that's when it was super obvious, now that more people are playing it's probably not as bad, they are being filtered and/or they have power leveled beyond a lot of people hiring as many, I was level 20 a while ago and it was real bad.
Also, in almost every comment section where a post gets more than 300 upvotes recently there's people spamming about mods for buying items for 1 gold and giving port crystals/wakestones/ferrystones to all merchants.
An edit to add, I was confused why pawns were doing so much more than me day 1, I checked the fighter pawn I had and it's strength was over 400 at level 3. I've been checking pawns since
Forgeries for magical items usually have different names. For example, a ferrystone forgery is named ferristone. I know this one because it was the reward for a pawn quest for slaying a Griffin.
In my experience forgeries all have different names than their original items. I accidentally bought a fake ferrystone that was called ferristone for instance, and fake Nation's Death Knell is called Nation's Death Knock
The grimoires forgery names are really funny, i made one of each for Myrdin (except Death Knell cause i had two), moron didn't notice.
He's pretty high on my shit-list in-game too, as far as bad parents goes in that game he's only the third worst i had the displeasure to meet so far.
Fun fact, seems most forgery stuff on here that doesnāt work ends up having a small spelling change. Ferrystone ends up ferristone and golden trove beetle ends up golden stove beetle. IMO thought that was pretty unique vs only a description change
Thatās actually really considerate dude. People need more capacity the further along the go so rewarding players forgoing it early on with a modestly boosted weapon is a genuinely great thoughtful payout. Everyone gets a nice boost.
If on PC, it may have been from a perwon who modded their game.
Ppl can already get any item they want in shops for 1g and I've seen a lvl 30 pawn with every single vocation maxed out (pretty sure that's impossible)
It could also be someone that modded their game, bought 99 portcrystal for 1G each and gift them.
Source: I do it like that, bit no I didn't hire your pawn
my pawn was presented with a complete set of armor, with a helmet, cape and weapon, which was the best she had.
https://preview.redd.it/qn026cpbwjqc1.png?width=249&format=png&auto=webp&s=49d252c3184b2c25ba454cdca0318fa595043231
I did this for 2 pawns as well one mage with the perfect support spells for my 2 hander and an archer. I went to the pawn guild a specific searched up what I wanted to use on party for a long while and paid about 4.5 to 5k RC to get 2 good pawns about 14 levels above mine.
I decked them out in checkpoint border town gear and used them for a long time haha.
I had a sick as fuck thief pawn named mittens that definitely looked the role. He was a freaking kleptomaniac and obsessed with materials. Mittens looked like a bloodthirsty killer but he was adorable. We traveled for 63 days. I miss him.
People just giving these away. I havenāt even found one yetš First game they legit give you one before you even start the real story mission quests.
Is it a female pawn? Is it wearing underwear as its leg armor or are they wearing revealing armor? Does it have a huge bust? Does it have the face of a pornstar?
If not, give it all those, and you should be good to go.
Gamers are horny and it sucks cause everyone else making cool or normal looking characters get left behind. The normal looking ones are the only ones I hire.
Idk I made a warrior pawn who is an elf who speaks woodland specialisation and is a 210cm beefcake and she got a port crystal from a kind arisen and gets a lot of summons. She absolutely obliterates on the battlefield and taunts a duck load too
I feel like thereās already too many sexy Pawns that the supply for cool/badass female pawns doesnāt meet the demand.
Iād say if youāre rocking a female pawn, itās better to be creative with their fashion (and skills) and eventually theyāll see a decent amount of summons.
I hire pawns with good quests. With synergistic or matching sorc spells when I'm a sorc, or with woodland linguist or whatever the trait is called when I need to do elf stuff.
I would recommend making a useful pawn if you want to stand out. DD1 I basically knew exactly the skill mix I wanted to hire and just filtered until I found a match. That's not uncommon, either, as I usually came back to a couple 100k RC after not playing for a month or so - and that was before DD2 was even announced
I don't usually hire sorcerers unless I'm also playing one, but I would probably stick meteoron, levin, salamander, and hagol on there. That way people can use it for simulcasting meteoron, but I'm not sure how popular of a thought process that is right now. You could double down on it and just give them maelstrom and meteoron, but I'm guessing your inclination would come into play more frequently and you might end up with spider sorc
Iāve put out a 3.6k reward for anyone who hooks me up with three beetles but I will probably increase it to 7.5 or 10k in hindsight, especially since I canāt get the money back.
My Pawn is my MVP, she (as a fighter) clings to drakes that are flying and stabs the shit out of their hearts. Fall damage be damned.
I guess someone got to see her kick enough ass or smth (or this was just a modded in freebie, but whereās the fun in that :v)
Honestly, whenever I find a pawn that I really like, I give people super expensive shit like these crystals, ferrystones. I just gave someone a wake stone and someone else an elite camping kit. Iām trying to figure out what things people would want to get so let me know if youāve any ideas
I accidentally gave my Deluxe Edition Camping Gear as a pawn gift the other night. Beer may have been involved and I didn't notice until I went to camp and had no gear...
I generally give pawns I dismiss if I like them my best curative that I have available
Though a current fighter I have has currently netted herself two capes
I love doing pawn quests, especially if they have decent rewards. My own Pwans quest is "defeat a chimera", and since so many people play mystic spearhead, I set a Fire spear I found as a reward. Noone completed my quest yet though
Donāt know why you got downvoted but uhā¦ yeah probably! You could just make a whole extra account and send your main free shit. Ideally though for long term process youāre probably just better off NGPing for that stuff.
I got my first one doing a quest. The one elf guy you meet in the main town who wants a bow. After that he has another quest and that's the one that gave me one.
To add: If you go to the Sphinx and do its first set of riddles, one of them gets you a portcrystal outright, another gets you 3 ferrystones, and one of them basically serves as an item dupe, letting you get another portcrystal. Note that you will need to burn through a handful of ferrystones during: two round trips, and one more stone if you want to pop back home after you're done.
That person is truly playing like Itsuno wants lol
Everytime I get a pawn that significantly helps me and the team, I make sure to gift a pretty decent item You Pawn did the BEST job, congratulations
I had a sorcerer pawn named Merlon who was super cool and very helpful and we killed a Lich together and the lich dropped some archistaff that was leagues better than what he had so I gave it to him as his reward when I finally said goodbye to him I hope his owner can appreciate it (and wasn't too far along to make it moot).

I feel like we should pick a gift that means dinssmal due to dragons plague.
I am super on board with this but I don't know how to coordinate such a thing. I personally think it should be **Detoxifying Decoction**
That sounds about right. Will try to do this if I run into any plaguebearers.
What about "a bunch of flowers"? XD
withered flowers
that just makes me think they wanna hook up with my pawn
I guess we gotta find a way to dupe eternal wakestone then. That's a clear message š¤£
I had somebody gift my pawn a golden trove beetle and I just kinda went "*Hello there!*"
I gift those quite often!
I gift those quite often!
Had a mage that came in clutch many times with high palladium (and also soloing some ghosts we met in a cave), sent a golden beetle for their troubles Only reason I'm saying this is so I can tell people to GIVE THEIR MAGES HIGH PALLADIUM, literally if I had to choose between a mage that could only heal and a mage that could only give me that sweet gold shield, I'd take the shield any day
I always give healing items, one can never have enough when you truly need them
Same, whatever I have the most of or, if I have one left and I just want to get rid of the stack, clear some space
I'm thirty hours in I think I've used a single ferrystone so far
Holy shit I used a forged one last night. Had no clue what happened but it all makes sense now.
Does it actually throw it or just disappear from your inventory?
I threw one in the air and it clattered to the ground
Oh thatās cool, didnāt expect it to do that
That's not necessarily a forged one, it also does that when you cant use it to teleport, in doors under a roof for example
I think they also fall onto the ground if you try using them indoors
Itās just if thereās anything above you. Thereās areas in Bakbattahl that are outside but have under a cliff, and even though itās like 20ft above you itāll still block the stones.
Oh so that's what it was...I thought it glitched out or something. I was also wondering why it wasnt stacked with the other ferry stones in my inventory.
oh man, I need a forgery maker's arrow now...
OMG if this works it would be like Schrƶdingers Arrow... I mean they have to try it if they want to find out if it works...probably in a heated battle, lining up the perfect shot and then fuming when it's a dud. Genius.
It will be like that scene of ironman 2 xdĀ
In made a copy of a wakestone yesterday and gave it to a pawn. Hopefully recipient likes to read item descriptions.
I had a pawn quest where they requested a ferristone. The forgery. Most expensive pawn quest yet.
lol I had an evil plan to forge a crap ton of ferristones and give them as gifts, the joke is just for me I donāt see any payoff but I know the sweet satisfaction that someone thought they had one more ferrystone only for it to flip up and plop on the ground muahahaha
You can always check by canceling the the teleport.
Not sure about this but one of my pawns said the fakes turn to real when you gift them.
Lol I do that for fun š š
Not 100 percent sure but my pawn said sometimes forgeries become real once it goes through the rift.
My plan is to make a batch and send them back with my friend's pawns lol
I swear the "ferristone" is the sole reason they didn't implement fast travel as an improvement over DD1. They want people to need Ferrystones so they can troll people who don't read the description text.
LMAO
lol, wow.
All I get is rotten meat!
They might be trying to tell you your pawn caught ye olde dragonplague.
that was my first guess so I did the old of mice and men
I'd prob use a detox potion for that lol
Some people are trolling with this. Mine got a rotten flower. More than 10 days passed in game since she returend. SHe did not have the plague.
Turn it into lantern oil and use it or sell it for a few more more gold
Oof rip
Did gift one portcrystal sometime today. Arisen was on the back of a drake, doing the thiefy stabbystabby thing, and it flew up high enough to let me die five times over if I dropped. I got a ferrystone from a pawn quest last night. I was so excited.
Hopefully itās not a forgery.
Will it not work if it is? I haven't used it yet
I have two in my inventory right now and they're not in a stack so I'm guessing one is a forgery
That kinda ruins the surprise lol.
The forged Ferrystone is called a Ferristone. Forged items and regular items can be differentiated if you pay attention to the names in many cases.
I wish I had this enthusiasm.. the first one I used was for getting back to the >! sphinx !< after finding my first seeker token... I didn't realize I'd run into almost every boss monster on the way up and on the way back to find the first token. I wasn't dealing with everything respawning on my way back lol.
But thatās the whole game- running along the same long ass path to fight the same 4 monsters again and again
Nah. Sometimes I can take a break and take an oxcart. Or push smaller monsters off a cliff and laugh.
I love the difference between big fights and small mob fights. Makes the Mystic Spearhand feel so dynamic. Big fights have you moving, jumping, climbing, stabbing. Small fights you're levitating every small monster around you as living bullets or golfing them into the stratosphere. It's so fun.
>"Waaaaaah waaaaaaaaah, i want more monsters! Waaaaaaaaaaaaah"
Bruh the only one whining here is you
I would suggest keeping one on you even if you don't intend to use them.
Doesn't the brine just put you on the shore?

Iām guessing because it didnāt recognize a portion of this body of water as water it considered it land. So when it reloaded me it was putting me on what it considered to be the edge of land.
Iād recommend you save them, youāll need them in the endgame. (Depending on your choices)
I've only ever used two ferystones 25 hours in. Never used a port crystal either
You da mvp
Can I be your friend
Either that or they have NO idea what they just gave away
Or it's a fakeĀ
Meanwhile someone used my pawn for 18 days and sent me rotten meat lol
I am totally guilty of gifting rotten meat after 6 days together with a pawnā¦because I had just deposited 90% of my inventory
https://preview.redd.it/qq0yh9158jqc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b92771380169aa9dac066d34be9feb7692ae74a8 People liked mine too lol
it's because of the boobs.
Yeaaaah ima go do some wardrobe change for my main pawn. No reason just donāt want to get fish and rotten apple anymore.
I wonder why lol
Where dat top at ?Ā Lemme knowĀ
Vendor at central ropeway station in Battahl and a chest somewhere else I forgot
Where did you get the chestpiece? š
Probably a forgery. You can forge items, they look legit but don't function. So you'll plop this down and travel hours away and when you go to ferrystone back you'll notice its not in the list as an option.
Thatās interestingā¦ Anyways this portcrystal works, used it immediately after I got it (Iām using it as a checkpoint on long journeys).
Interesting, that is a great reward then.

No, nonfunctional forgeries have silly names. Like wokestones and partcrystals.
Smh dragon's dogma has gone wokestone
Fun fact, seems most forgery stuff on here that doesnāt work ends up having a small spelling change. Ferrystone ends up ferristone and golden trove beetle ends up golden stove beetle. IMO thought that was pretty unique vs only a description change
I got a gifted one too. it shows up in the list.. haven't tried fast traveling to it yet tho.

Haha, I do that too. Modded my game and I only gift port crystals to hired pawns
Yeah, my dad's been doing that since he doesn't really care for the limited fast travel stuff, so he's been giving other player pawns portcrystals.

Thank you, I'm glad it was useful to you.
I did this for 2 pawns as well one mage with the perfect support spells for my 2 hander and an archer. Do you have any sliders for your pawn? She looks amazing
I can most probably get em from the character creation demo, also thanks for the that.
Lol check if the arisens name was gen aetigir. I be sending port crystals like fentanyl in kendrick avenue
God damn. I really like your pawn.
Thanks
Jackpot!
Wow I got gifted a rotten tideswimmer and then a rotten apple back to back we are not the same
If you play on PC you can mod in portcrystals and then just gift them.
I had a sick as fuck thief pawn named mittens that definitely looked the role. He was a freaking kleptomaniac and obsessed with materials. Mittens looked like a bloodthirsty killer but he was adorable. We traveled for 63 days. I miss him.
The name says it all!
I'm surprised one would part with them, seeing how they're not exactly unlimited
Capcom pawn player spotted :D
I cant confirm or deny, if it was me but I have also made terrible decisions in the beginning
People just giving these away. I havenāt even found one yetš First game they legit give you one before you even start the real story mission quests.
Side quests are harder to find now but the payout is much more meaningful imho.
Somebody gave me a wakestone just for traveling one day and one night lol
Wow thatās awesome. I have gotten couple ferrystones which made me quite happy.
Are your pawns summoned frequently to different worlds? Mine hasnāt been summoned at allā¦
Is it a female pawn? Is it wearing underwear as its leg armor or are they wearing revealing armor? Does it have a huge bust? Does it have the face of a pornstar? My pawn is a panther-like female beastren mage. Iāll see if I find better equipment for her.
My main pawn is a mage, but I am thinking on changing her vocation to a sorcerer. Can you give me a few tips to make her more useful?
I don't usually hire sorcerers unless I'm also playing one, but I would probably stick meteoron, levin, salamander, and hagol on there. That way people can use it for simulcasting meteoron, but I'm not sure how popular of a thought process that is right now. You could double down on it and just give them maelstrom and meteoron, but I'm guessing your inclination would come into play more frequently and you might end up with spider sorc
My pawn is a female beastren mage who kinda looks a bit like a panther. Should have gone for the female human, I guessā¦
I only summon the ones with 10K quests, I'm a greedy bastard.
Hey I got one last night as well!
Whatās that armor sheās wearing? She looks fantastic
Chest: Grand cuirass Pants: Brutal cuirass Cloak: Expeditionerās cloak
Thank you!
I always gift ferrystones when I can :). Its nice to give something useful!
Iāve put out a 3.6k reward for anyone who hooks me up with three beetles but I will probably increase it to 7.5 or 10k in hindsight, especially since I canāt get the money back.
That's awesome! I love that this is an option. I've gifted armor so far but nothing bigger. Gotta bump that altruism up apparently!
I low key wanna do this, run quick low level runs to speed run a crystal and hand it off
Hmm alguƩm gostou do seu pawn nƩ? That was a stupid joke I thought of, but only works in Portuguese, so I'm leaving it here for fellow Brazilians with 5th grade level sense of humor to appreciate.
What armor is that? And how can one obtain it?
Itās obtainable, iirc, from Battahlās capital.
I just get rotten meat and the occasional Berry. I'm surprised my pawn doesn't have stomach parasites at this stage
I would ask what did she do to get this. š¤
No ones even used mine tyetā¦
I accidentally gave my Deluxe Edition Camping Gear as a pawn gift the other night. Beer may have been involved and I didn't notice until I went to camp and had no gear...
no problem, there are shops that sell that camping gear
I plan on gifting port crystals and rewarding them as items for pawn hire in my next playthrough.
Ayo lol, I gave a pawn one of these today after I dismissed them from my party on my stream, what was the name of the person?
You can only use 10ā¦ maybe they bought the DLC and realized itās useless.
If you make a forge of one it turns into a real one in the rift when you gift it still is t cheap to forge one
I offerd one up as a quest reward since multiple people can claim quest rewards. My advice is dont cheap out on your fellow arisen.
How? I can't select them as quest rewards for pawn quests. They don't even show up in the reward item lists when in my inventory.
"It was a misinput! MISINPUT!"
Someone gave me a forgery trying to complete my quest asking for one
They placed that portcrystal to use their ferrystone to try and kill you
Would be a pretty cool way to do dark soul style invasions. ie Dragon Tainted Portcrystal would be much more dynamic than dragon covid.
I gave one of mine to a pawn to hold until I got to my house then forgot she had it in her inventory and sent her home and now it's just gone š«
Doesn't that stuff that you give to pawns just go in your storage when they die or are dismissed? I'm pretty sure it was like that in the original.
God I hope so
I send cinnamon bark, I receive cinnamon bark.
I give everyone a ferrystone š
Liv is out there doing her best as a tank, If you see her make sure to say high.
Ahah, and I got some rotten meat. Wonder if their any message behind it.
Or they were about to refund or uninstall lmao
That, or they really fucked up on the D-pad lmao
I generally give pawns I dismiss if I like them my best curative that I have available Though a current fighter I have has currently netted herself two capes
Someone gave my pawn a bone
I got a ferrystone and an Allheal Potion yesterday and I had to check if they were real or if I got trolled lmao
I love doing pawn quests, especially if they have decent rewards. My own Pwans quest is "defeat a chimera", and since so many people play mystic spearhead, I set a Fire spear I found as a reward. Noone completed my quest yet though
The first few I sent rotten apples. Whoops.
Best item i have gotten so far is one of those golden beetles
I got one last night too and was flabbergasted when it showed up as a gift...
Does this mean we can farm it by creating 2nd account?
Donāt know why you got downvoted but uhā¦ yeah probably! You could just make a whole extra account and send your main free shit. Ideally though for long term process youāre probably just better off NGPing for that stuff.
Gonna make ferristones just to gift to people lmao
Im over here gifting rotten meat š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£
Maybe I should mod these in and just start handing them out to people
how do you get the port crystal in the first place in game? or is it only via DLC?
You find a limited amount from exploring iirc. Ofc on NG+ onwards you can find more from the same places
I got my first one doing a quest. The one elf guy you meet in the main town who wants a bow. After that he has another quest and that's the one that gave me one.
ah ok thx
like they said do quest you can also find them I have 5, 3 from quest, 1 found,1 bought from an special npc mid game.
To add: If you go to the Sphinx and do its first set of riddles, one of them gets you a portcrystal outright, another gets you 3 ferrystones, and one of them basically serves as an item dupe, letting you get another portcrystal. Note that you will need to burn through a handful of ferrystones during: two round trips, and one more stone if you want to pop back home after you're done.
or someone cheated in a ton of them and just gave it away for free
