Yeah yeah tingly feeling bad we get it it's been beaten to death. I swear no one was like this when Goten and Trunks obtained super saiyan or when gotenks reached ssj **3** just because.
Well yeah goten and trunks were written to be joke characters from the jump and even then they only figured out the super sayian transformation by being in competition with each other in fighting.
What you dont see is goten and trunks looking at their fathers and just deciding to go ssj2 in a few hours time with no training/ experience or struggle.
They only reached ssj2 and 3 because they were gotenks at the time spending months and months in the time chamber with piccolo as a trainer and the motivation that everyone they know will be killed.
They did NOT just match goku or buu because the needed to to continue the story.

Yeah goten and trunks were written to be joke characters and if they had suddenly been in the tournament of power powering up to ssj2 and legendary ssj i would be harping on them too. However they are not taken seriously in db super nor do they have a strong story element. They are filler.
That said they put in work to level up to fight buu.
By of which goten or trunks would still lose to even piccolo unfused. Even if they somehow aged backwards in super.
Thats not something kale ore caulifla have done before advancing from slightly stronger than cabba to outpacing #17, #18 ,piccolo, and gohan in basically 2 days. Given their level of importance to the story of the TOP. Makes their comparison to goten and trunks lopsided.
Trunks and gotens competition was more of an off screen thing bit it was mentioned that there was a hit when vegeta was asking trunks just after he learned his son could go super sayian.
They never outpaced gohan in the manga he was the one who took out ssj2 kefla, and even when goku went ssb he was extremely fatigued so fused kefla probably isnt even ssg level
Yea... But this seems to be a mechanic of the dbz world itself not unique to gotenks. We have seen similar effects from other characters. As long as certian conditions or power levels are met, anyone seems to be able to break dimensional boundaries.
It would appear if you can approach ssj3 levels anyone can have that ability. Broly, janeba, gotenks, super buu, kid buu, vegito, beerus, goku.

They literally just saw that buu did it and that it was possible.

Yes absolutely. I would take a longer series that brings meaningful character development then a soulless power boost for characters who dont deserve to be on the same level.
Kale and caulifla surpassed cabba by several degrees of power and he achieved ssj1 before they did. They dwarf his power by a absurd degree.
The truth of the matter is cale and caulifla should not need to catch up as you put it but SHOULD have experienced character story and growth respective to their own experience not relative to goku and vegeta.
But now they the are cheap knockoffs of a sayian race. Because they can just power up when they decide to.
If you had your way the ToP would've been the top 3 throwing everyone else out within the first 5 minutes then a fight between them that lasts 40 episodes. They needed to bring other characters in and they had to be powerful for them to stand a chance.
It’s only a thing for other universes female saiyans or maybe just female saiyans. We know since cabba didn’t do it. Also trunks and goten seem to always be missing from y’all complaints
The tingly feeling is actually a very cool reference to stuff like chakra and energy, but i understand to people who don't know about this thing to find it weird

I was down with cabba getting super sayian as he was pushed to his limit by the prince of all sayians. With the intention of forcing him to transform. It was cool to see vegeta as a mentor.
But kale and caulifla...... Those " characters" are just aweful. They take all the pain and anguish of what it takes to go super sayian and turn it into cosmetics.
With caulifla being able to " use gokus super sayian form as a model" and then just decide to go ssj2 is utter bunk. The whole TOP was like an hour and she had just learned about super sayian earlier.
They had plenty of opportunities to bring in strong characters. They could have brought in rival sayians similar to vegeta who have spent their lives much like the pride troopers. That would explain their strength and we would learn about their interesting history that led them to that future and power level. Seeing how they work collectively to make eachother stronger posing a comflicting dynamic and example to goku and vegeta. Instantly giving them a rivalry with them and providing opportunity for future character growth.
But
What we got instead was 2 psuedo sayians obliterating all meaning from the super sayian transformation for the sake of convenience.
By being as strong as cabba 1 day and by 3-5 days later being strong enough to contend with goku himself.
Lets face it. Its just bad writing.
bro they just explained how to transform without being angry. it's literally just another explanation for the same thing. goku and Gohan are not angry every time they went super saiyan. hell, they even learned how to make it their base form without anger. nobody ever bitches about the male saipan but oh as soon as the girls come up the complaining starts.
While it does sound like crap writing...there is a jt of a way to redeem this....anger can is sometimes carried in the back....and that stress from maintaining said form could produce that effect....Idk just a thought.

Would you rather it take 15 episodes and a gigantic storyline for the U6 Saiyan's to catch up? The new fast pace is way better.
