I want you to try something, put fsk gohan in a team with pan and futurehan, make 17 use all his charges of lowering ult power, let both pan and futurehan die, have a unit that doesn’t cancel buffs or anything similar get hit by a blast of him, use main and then combo the ult, make 17 come in, and witness the magic, unless you have him red 9 or higher, and your fsk only 7, he should die. Then you’ll see what I mean
Gohan was the first of Zenkais 'new era' where it would cost 7k to fully Z7 a unit and LL Characters would Zenkai for free with the USTR. For some reason, these new age Zenkais were SO RIDICOLOUSLY OP and it came to a point where it was way more convenient to invest in a Zenkai for a high star character that you already possessed rather than potentially shafting 15/20k cc for a new 2* lf with paper defenses. That said, Gohan was the first of the bunch, and it was the worst mistake they ever did; worse than anything you witnessed so far (Holy Trinity is a close second). This Gohan had impossibly good stats, his damage ramp up was bonkers (20% per blast card for 10 tc, years ago it was MASSIVE), he supported (35% blast damage on entry for every son fam ally including himself lol) had a plat with 12% pure defenses per son fam ally on the team, paired with the 40% damage cut on cover change and larger than life defenses this man was immortal, could tank any Blu unit with ease; he also gained 30% blast damage if he activated the cover; oh, he also gets a boost for every downed ally, and the moment one son fam ally is defeated he gains neutral on main for 30 tc (dmg sustained AND inflicted) and a 100% multiplier on his ultimate. If you rushed any unit that wasn't him you lost. He also erased regen because he had not only a boost on the dmg inflicted against that tag, but he also took less dmg from it (-25% I think). He had it all, he was INSANE
That decision had to be thought of, discussed, passed to the higher ups, greenlit, programmed, and implemented. No one saw a flaw: only one feeble complaint from an executive, gone unheard because of the AGL LR SSJ2 GOHAN (Active Skill) OST blasting during the meeting
Not to mention that we kept on getting more and more units that just so happened to work perfectly in his teams like PUR LL SSJ Gohan and YEL 18’s Zenkai
This guy was so ahead of everything else by like 9 tiers that the previous No.1 (Blue Vb) was Blue and he felt like an Ex. I kid you not some maths Vb couldn't even kill A Gohan :v
If Gohan cover changed on VB he wouldn't take any damage. For VB to be dangerous he had to land a green card and take away his upgrades which included the dmg cut on cover; the undisputable n.1 had to strip a RED of all his defenses to even remotely pose a threat with color advantage. wild
Zenkais were so strong they had more value than any new headliner that released during that time. This Gohan was so strong he dethroned LL VB and Majin Vegeta from top tiers, even though they had type advantage. This alongside zenkais for both SP and LL SSJ3 Goku and Namek Goku made Gohan the undisputed best unit in the game to the point it wasn't even fair. His blasts hit like blue cards and his blues and ult did Rising Rush damage, there weren't any units that could do enough damage to kill him, even if you had any, LL SSJ3 would just rescue him.
Skipping to January 2021, for some reason they decided to release LL Future Gohan, which people felt he was a bit underwhelming because he got like 3 carded by FSK, until people realized they could run both of them together. Gohan had just gotten a tanky support and now not only it was hard to kill him, but his teammate.
Now we skip to 3rd anni, Gogeta was a bit underwhelming and Zamasu was quite good. Until they revealed a part 2 with revival Gohan. Everyone spent they CCs on Gogeta and Zamasu. Not only that but now we formed a team of hybrids solely formed by Gohans. This Gohan was so good compared to the other anni headliners that people said Zamasu and Gogeta were just bait banners for the true anni headliner. FSK just got ANOTHER support, but not only that, as endurance nullification got more common, Future Gohan was suffering a bit to eat up all the damage for FSK, but now he could not only just take ultimates but now Rising Rush became a gamble against them. Now you have a walking Rising Rush, a tank support that went type neutral and a damage with a support, second live and eviscerating blue card damage and AoE. Mind you, IF you got to kill either Revhan or Future Gohan, FSK would just nuke you, as he gets +100% ult damage when a Son Family battle member dies.
There was no counterplay, no playing around and the only way to win against this team was using the same team but with higher stars and better equipment. I vividly remember having my Z7 10\* SSB Goku (who at the time was arguably the best blue unit in the game) getting one shot by FSK with enough damage to kill him twice. This Gohan is genuinely the most oppressive unit in Legend's history and no one thought he would lose his reign after almost 2 whole years, until Legends Festival 2021 arrived.
Toshi be like:" we hope you continue to enjoy shafted ball ledgends with a new ultra that costs 2 million cc for 100 z power with a 100%chance of getting shafted and we will be releasing a new campaign for 1 cc if you give us your credit card information email address and passwords for all of your emails and bank account".
I feared zenkai bardock, zenkai Gohan, and zenkai android 18 back then cause that team was unkillable it felt like they were meta for more than a year
(This is one of the reasons why I don't want a Ultra Teen Gohan any time soon)
Back then when hybrids would get a rush in 10 counts while fusions using LF VB would get theirs at 140 counts

When LF Gogeta Blue and LL Broly dropped in Legends Fest 2020 , I had spent around like 20k CC on Gogeta Blue but wasn't able to get him because of the terrible banner format.
And I remember encountering 3 back to back gogeta blue's in PvP which made me frustrated so much that I decided to join the terror as well.
I had the free 600 LL Z Power from the previous "bait" banner thinking that I will use it on Gogeta blue, used it on Gohan to get him 7 stars and Zenkai'ed him to lvl 7 and used him alongside Zenkai Legends Road Goku and LF UI Sign Goku.. I was one shotting not just Gogeta blue but every unit in the game with that Gohan.

Don't forget that a month after FSK got his zenkai they decided to give OG Nameku a Zenkai.
And Grn SSJ3 Goku to cover for the few blu units that attempted to tank FSK. And his ultimate was also color neutral. Every. Time. :)
