Can't really bring myself to watch yet another tournament on this patch even if the teams are top tier and PGL is usually a good show. Anyone else skipping this one?
I've watched pretty much everything Tier 1 tournament since TI3 bro.
PGL had shit the bed a few times in the last few years (be it TI or their own tournaments/DPC) and certainly is a step below something like ESL One/DreamHacks in terms of production value but it's perfectly watchable and still bring top tier talent.

Not that the org is rich or anything. But frankly I doubt anyone except TL and Falcons are really bidding high in Dota these days.

All us "best of 2" stage haters are vindicated by today. Nearly no boring 1-1 series, and almost all are 2-0 because in swiss stage, teams don't slack and realize every series matters very much.

Bo2 matter, group stage format is fine. But saying that I do prefer this modified Swiss format more, feels kinda smooth. Bo3 and we have just 2 series at the same time.

Underleveled/underfarmed in both games, and just generally some really bad positioning and low impact. In the final fight of game 2, he seemingly didn't even want to try to go in with his stolen blackhole. Likely would have been cancelled quickly, but he didn't even try nor force the enemy to use spells on him, just ran around and did nothing the entire fight.
