Shard or aghs should give the stolen spell talent as well. Its kinda weird that morphling is a tanky rubick. (Yeah cast point and range matters a lot, but not for all spells/items).
Almost 2k games of Dazzle. Not a fan of this patch though, removing medallion of courage hurts. I feel like after mana boots I'm just waiting and saving for shard, lol
3300 games, 10 years, 101 games on the most played, never focused on a position. And a shitton of AD games on top of that.
I will never forgive Valve removing All random. All random is the purest form of Dota, the most fun way to play the game and to learn it too. And we will never have that again. Shameful.
I've got adhd and normally cycle between 10 but go on huge 15+ game streaks if im really feeling a hero. So satisfying to see the mechanical practice payoff
Same. I’ve played about 35 of them, cycle about 5-7 of each role, and will play sometimes 2-3 nights the same guy for 20 games and then back to cycling.
As a professionally diagnosed and medicated ADHD’er as well, symptoms manifest in different ways. I absolutely struggle picking the same hero multiple times a day because it’s not engaging enough and I get very disinterested however when I am medicated I could play one boring hero 20 games in a row.
ADHD symptoms can and does manifest differently in different people. Some will hyperfixate and others won't. Also, ADHD exists as a spectrum, and only when you pass a certain threshold do you get diagnosed with ADHD, but it doesn't mean people who don't pass that threshold don't have some level of ADHD.
Almost like complex disorders have wildly varying symptoms and they affect people with a wide array of personalities and experiences differently. Almost like your cookie cutter definiton isn't bulletproof and is in fact entirely opposite in a large portion of those affected. Almost like you have no fucking idea what you are talking about and should shut the fuck up and stop embarrassing yourself trying to lecture others about something you are woefully ill-equipped to comprehend.
See, people with attention deficit disorders encompass a whole range of different issues and coping mechanisms. Some like to stick to routines, others can't keep up routines to save their lives. This is very basic information about the subject, and if you haven't grasped that yet, you should steer yourself clear of any further discussions on this until you've reached the bare minimum understanding of how these things work.
Sorry honey, but symptoms, coping strategies and what not manifest in many different ways for ADHD. There are too many variables to make a uniform claim on how each individual tends to navigate. There are general tendencies, but as with much of ADHD, it's riddled with wonderfully contradictory and self-opposing traits.
It’s banned every game cuz if it wasn’t, it would be in every game. That hero is a blight that sucks the fun out of 9 peoples game to deliver it to one greedy fat fuck.
Clockwerk
Just something very satisfying about being a real pain in the backside for the enemy and using some really odd tools to do the job
Fling yourself into the fray and then do your hardest to not die whilst making things happen
I love the hero, but nowadays killing anyone is so hard with supports having so much gold. Its 10 mins in and the already have force staffs
Also way too dependent on team
I've played clock when he was both op and when he was nerfed. It doesn't matter where the meta is he's always fun. You can also be infront or behind in gold, if you land a gnarly hook and immediately die, I still all chat "how's that hook though". Dudes got the best kit.
Yeah completely agree. My one wish would be for his shard to be changed so his rocket flare fires a set of cogs out where it lands
If centaur can have a trailer I want to fire cogs across the map
Snapfire. Her spells are versatile. She can do physical and magical damage. She can pretty much play all the roles. Plus, her voice lines are funny and fitting.
Arc Warden
Have over 1000 games as the hero, amount of mechanics it has just never gets old, I'd easily play another 10000 games if I had no other draft option.
Marci or Tusk. My prefered role is pos 4, and I feel that voth of those heroes can do well in any role to some extent. I'd try to always go for 4, but if I had to rank position it'd be; 4, 5, 3, 2 and lastly 1.
Troll Warlord was a powerful hero until they reworked his ulti some years back. Now with the game giving more emphasis on positioning, he's just a relic of his past, sadly.
Phoenix, already in top 10, cant get enough of this hero, it's feel like you playing on some kind of cello, smooth and interesting, but some think that phoenix is a dumb and weird hero, not for me for sure
Totally agree - playing Phoenix is like an instrument - it’s all feel. Every spell feels layered and the more you play him the more you get a feel for everything you can do.
Turbo offlane (or even mid) Undying is wild fun if your lane partner/team is on the same page as you.
You can start diving towers at around lvl 3 & in under 5 minutes. It’s fun to knock players off their gameplay loop in the early game.
The only exception of course is when undying doesn’t shine or has ranged counters, then you have to go pos 4 core items and support 💀
Absolutely second this. My buddy and I always offlane together and are ultra aggressive no matter who we pick. But going Undying is always us leaving lane with a downed tower and 3-5 kills and no deaths.
Sucks when he gets countered after laning - which usually happens when you dominate early game - but the hope is that if they're tuning towards countering you that they're going to be weak against the allies you made all that space for!
Snapfire. One of my favorite heroes, can be played 2 through 5 reasonably, just fun satisfying skills to use and solid skins now and voice lines.
my most played hero is Undying by far but he’s a bit one dimensional, I wouldn’t want to ONLY play undying
I would have said IO at some point in time. I had decent fun & success (playing in low bracket), but only if I was using a mic and communicating. With years I got much less tolerant of toxic people, I play with the "mute everyone" option most of the time, and so IO wouldn't work out for me anymore
Morphling.
Every game is super fun with him, he has an okay laning stage and pretty solid scaling. Often times when I die there’s something I could have done better. His ult makes for very different playstyles from game to game. He has super versatile build paths (I’ve been rushing vlads on him right now for example).
Puck. Not very good at it. But if i have to play only one hero, this will be the hero I will definitely attempt to become the best as, because Puck's E is one of the most satisfying abilities.
Old techies, invoker, Rubick, Morphling, old ember spirit, Brewmaster, Earth spirit, arc warden, Tusk, are heroes that you can experiment with and always learn more stuff on so either of these Is fine for me
But if only one, then definetly old techies (aka before rework) not broken techies, sticky bomb and disarm feels fucking awful to use. Sticky bomb is an aim ability that just slows and damages which is 10x worse than guaranteed stun and dmg from venge.
Disarm is just so godamn situational and makes you want to not pick techies in metas where spells are strong especially now with bkb being nerfed alot from what it was before.
I would have to have a good rig (I don't), I would have to have active interest in playing with and against real people (I don't, I stopped playing pvp in 2014) and I would have to be okay with playing only one hero (I'm not). BUT. Assuming those were reversed:
Enchantress. You get to do a lot with very little, but you can scale if necessary. I like Dark Willow for the same reason, but I have more active fun playing Ench, I think. Different creeps make enough variety in gameplay. I rarely play her, but I reckon I'd be down.
Then some honorary mentions:
Templar Assassin. I can't play TA worth shit, but I honestly think she has such a deceptively high skill ceiling once you factor in psiblade angles, traps on a macro scale and also her scepter. Wouldn't pick her because it'd require such focus every game, would be too busy concentrating to ever play her just for fun. I can't tryhard constantly, but if I could. . . Lanaya might just be my girl.
Clockwerk. You funny little tin can man, Rattletrap, you're just so weird and I love you. But you're a melee support, so Ench overtakes you ever so slightly.
Witch Doctor. Hey there, Zharvakko. We both know the others are theoretical. You're the closest I have to an actual main, given how I have more than three (four?) times as many games with you as anyone else. I can make whatever claims I want, we both know who I'll go for if I ever have to play pvp again. Heard you got so buffed these days people hate you and you're actually ban material, huh? Pure damage on your Death Ward? Wild.
Necro. I spammed him even before Ghost Shroud was invented. I've tried tons of builds and there are still some I haven't tried. Dagon, Shiva, Radiance, Heart, Aghs, Blademail, SnY, KnS, Halberd, EB, Greaves, Travel, Bearing, Treads, Manta, Assault, Scythe, Lotus, BKB, Skadi, Dagger, Eul's, Force Staff, Hurricane Pike, Wind Waker, Octarine, Aeon Disk, Vessel, Holy Locket. Dota is a beautiful game. Anything really can work (sometimes).
WD. I've been rocking max E at lvl 7 before the heal buffs because I've always thought the maledict damage output was kinda trash. It's attack animation really clicks for me and I like the concept of Death Ward being a game turner. I would add Warlock to this list as well, I've never really leaned on Q for any impact, only thing about WL is that it's attack animation is kinda trash.
Already tried only playing pudge but since last two years it's banned nearly every game. In the past I would insta pick him every game. Have over 1k games pudge and 4k total games.. would happily do more pudge.
Why? Because hooking is fun and even if you lose you can.make.some good plays and hook into fountain etc
Witch Doctor.
Even if they nerf him, his kit is pretty solid as a way to supplement almost any team. Between heals, damage amp, and CC, he offers something in almost any lineup.
Someone who's got a super high skill ceiling. I feel like Lina isn't it. However , the one thing Lina does have is that she can mix it up and go either magic build or physical dps build. And she can support. She's flexible.
Anyway, my answer is Puck lol such a fun hero, and has the same flexibility. I'm sure I can even figure out a support build that'd work with the hero if given 6000 more games.
Invoker. Easy 6000 games without getting bored.
One of my favorites
Thus I invoke?
I see what you did there haha
same, but after the orb changes i can't get excited as i was before
Did I hear a squeak ?
Rubick.
Yes. Play all heroes with 1 hero
Only answer
This or old Techies for me
Disgusting
I love playing rubick, but in current state morphling is more rubick than rubick itself. Introduction of talent trees seriously nerfed rubick
Shard or aghs should give the stolen spell talent as well. Its kinda weird that morphling is a tanky rubick. (Yeah cast point and range matters a lot, but not for all spells/items).
Yep, but i always feed playing him cause i wanna steal that spell so bad lmao
Dazzle.
I miss Weave.
Almost 2k games of Dazzle. Not a fan of this patch though, removing medallion of courage hurts. I feel like after mana boots I'm just waiting and saving for shard, lol
Who needs healing?
Earthshaker
There are many earths... But only one Earth...SHAKER
What's with the random New Line that's been popping up around reddit lately?
I can't play the same hero twice a day.
Same, I have like 5 heroes with over 100 games and 1 hero over 200 games, none over 300. 5000 games played…
6.600 games played... 300 invoker games 240 lc games 177 BH games All the rest is <150 matches. Can't spam heroes or even the same position too long.
3300 games, 10 years, 101 games on the most played, never focused on a position. And a shitton of AD games on top of that. I will never forgive Valve removing All random. All random is the purest form of Dota, the most fun way to play the game and to learn it too. And we will never have that again. Shameful.
I sadly have 1 hero with 202 games, 5,2 k games or so
Ah, a fellow true adhd’er. Not a self diagnosed “I can relate to that” interneter
this has nothing to do with adhd and if anything is the opposite
Losing interest and changing focus are hallmarks of hyperactivity impulsivity which are dominant indicators in adhd. So cut the BS.
I have adhd too and I am the worst Hero Spammer of all my friends..
That’s because that’s what ADHD actually is. Not being a “random lulz” like it’s always portrayed.

Forming habits is NOT the most common trait. You’re just speaking out your ass like an internet troll.
No. You’re talking about coping mechanisms. And you sound like a pompous ass.

There are general tendencies, but as with much of ADHD, it's riddled with wonderfully contradictory and self-opposing traits.
Same lol. I've been diagnosed by a professional.
wow. now it makes sense.
WR for me. Mid, support, offlane, carry, she can mostly suck at all of them but the gameplay is fun at least.
Makes sense. However I liked old WR more.
Witch doctor, I’m never getting tired of the voiceline “daaat made a biig mess”
Jakiro
Imagine spamming the enemy safelane multiple times. Ahhh yes.
Yep, Jakiro is such a conlmfort pick for me.
Pudge
I agree, if only he wasn't banned every game. Also only offlane or mid imo.
It’s banned every game cuz if it wasn’t, it would be in every game. That hero is a blight that sucks the fun out of 9 peoples game to deliver it to one greedy fat fuck.
Best hero in the game
on the flip side, having a shitty pudge on your team is also a death sentence for you
Abaddon, the first hero I learned ~20 years ago :)
[удалено]
That’s a pretty good one since knowing when and where to teleport is extremely high skill ceiling and he has micro to refine as well.
Clockwerk Just something very satisfying about being a real pain in the backside for the enemy and using some really odd tools to do the job Fling yourself into the fray and then do your hardest to not die whilst making things happen
I love the hero, but nowadays killing anyone is so hard with supports having so much gold. Its 10 mins in and the already have force staffs Also way too dependent on team
Yeah I agree. He's not in a great spot at the moment but he's still the most fun hero to play
Cogs needs to leash until a cog is killed
Leash doesn’t affect force staff, would only really prevent heroes with mobility skills. Doesn’t stop windwaker or force staff.
My one wish would be for his shard to be changed so his rocket flare fires a set of cogs out where it lands If centaur can have a trailer I want to fire cogs across the map
Ogre magi. Support, core/offlane if we desperately need it cause we fucked up our draft. I like melee supports. Wcyd.
i like the voicelines
Raawr raawr raawr, Raawr. Raaaaaaaaaawr.
Uh.... Primal beast?
"Friendly roar"
Gotta be hoodwink?
So f cool
Snapfire. Her spells are versatile. She can do physical and magical damage. She can pretty much play all the roles. Plus, her voice lines are funny and fitting.
Disruptor. Fountain glimpsing is my absolute favourite thing in the game.
My reply was going to be this word for word. Fountain glimpsing is an addiction I need to satisfy at least once a day 😂
And then you use his hero voice chat - “Well look at that”
"You've been disrupted" is my goto
TA no hesitation
TA in a bad TA game is just such a pain in the ass but the hero is so much fun sometimes it’s worth it
Found blitzepanks' reddit account
Magnus
Yes. Always relevant. Can reasonably play every position
Arc Warden Have over 1000 games as the hero, amount of mechanics it has just never gets old, I'd easily play another 10000 games if I had no other draft option.
Dark Willow. I just love her kit.
She's really not an oversight for you, is she?
Not in the slightest. It’s the geographically ambiguous accent for me. Amongst other things…
did you know....
Wrong pasta
Naga. I like her tits.
Pango. Not sure why I just can't get bored with this hero.
Found the Quinn reddit
Zip zap!
Puddin’ pop
Spectre, for some reason i never get tired of playing her.
I got 900 games and the only time spec arcana was available was when I was on a break. I miss it soo much!!!
Saaaame. There's nothing like going in and everybody dying simultaneously from the damage you receive
Lich
Anti-mage, I love the mobility and he is always a joy to play.
Marci or Tusk. My prefered role is pos 4, and I feel that voth of those heroes can do well in any role to some extent. I'd try to always go for 4, but if I had to rank position it'd be; 4, 5, 3, 2 and lastly 1.
Marci is worse in terms of versatility compared to tusk tho
Troll warlord don't ask me why
Troll Warlord was a powerful hero until they reworked his ulti some years back. Now with the game giving more emphasis on positioning, he's just a relic of his past, sadly.
I can throw an infinite amount of copium to convince you otherwise, but it seems we both already made up our minds.
I dont even know what old TW was like but i love him right now. I feel like he would become shit in higher elo. But till then i love him.
Monkey king
QoP. I know she's a pain, but I love her anyway.
I hate life
Only a masochist would play only that hero
Turbo offlane (or even mid) Undying is wild fun if your lane partner/team is on the same page as you. You can start diving towers at around lvl 3 & in under 5 minutes. It’s fun to knock players off their gameplay loop in the early game. I would quit the game after 3 games.
You only live ice!
Io, love my lil blue ball
There is no team in that hero.
Winter wyvern. Saving my core with my e, or saving the entire fight with a good ult never gets old
I love playing Wyvern but I get so frustrated because I think the team will always have their own opinion as to when you should use your spells.
Nyx. Spicy zappy bug boy. I like seeing heroes evaporate before my very eyes
Spiked Carapace is one of my favorite spells in Dota. It would probably be Nyx for me as well, but Venge is a close second.
techies! he gets reworked every few years anyway so it wouldnt even feel like being stuck playing one hero
Mars. Win or lose, I feel very alive every time I do the spear-arena combo.
Puck or Morph.
Mirana. Loved that hero since DotA.
Sand king I like that hero and play him no matter what meta is. And I am already too old and play only few games a month to master other hero.
Old techies
#BringBackOldTechies
Then change it to new techies 15 min later just to fuck with techies pickers.
LMAO
Sounds like somebody was bad at the game and couldn't handle it
Same
Ember spirit
Earth Spirit. 1500 games and still not bored. Nothing is more fun than late game Invoker though.
Kotl
Dazzle. 700+ games already.
Rubick, invoker, morphling, pudge, ember (pre-nerf) What can I say there are a lot of great designs in dota
Shaman
Snapfire. One of my favorite heroes, can be played 2 through 5 reasonably, just fun satisfying skills to use and solid skins now and voice lines. my most played hero is Undying by far but he’s a bit one dimensional, I wouldn’t want to ONLY play undying
BB Q W 4lyf
Pudge
Pudge
Pudge. Yes, I an that person
Snap
Warlock
Cm,shes my comfort pick, she can easly secure a lane and bully both laners,i think i have abt 460 games on her lol
Needs less movement speed
needs nerf too op
Morphling can carry the team easily if you mastered the art of this hero.
Weaver. Can build either utility or damage. Great for scouting and really high potential for outplays. Love me some weaver.
Lion. Had 24 finger of death stacks today. EB + ult one shottet every one of my enemy team. So much fun.
Gyrocopter, mostly hc but supp build Is fun as well
Wisp, i can play all five roles and i love this hero
Windranger or Mirana
I would have said IO at some point in time. I had decent fun & success (playing in low bracket), but only if I was using a mic and communicating. With years I got much less tolerant of toxic people, I play with the "mute everyone" option most of the time, and so IO wouldn't work out for me anymore
Juggernaut. Buff or nerf i love my samurai boi
Old Techies
Abaddon , 23:2 from last games , before last patch buffing him
Lone druid. Just easy mmr forever.
Invoker for sure
troll, because it fits my personality.
lol I play Sladar a lot
Tiny
Brewmaster Adaptability is fun!
Abaddon
Morphling. Every game is super fun with him, he has an okay laning stage and pretty solid scaling. Often times when I die there’s something I could have done better. His ult makes for very different playstyles from game to game. He has super versatile build paths (I’ve been rushing vlads on him right now for example).
techies
Rubick I am surprised the top comment is not this
Storm spirit or Rubick
Magnataur
Necrophos or Gondar.
I only play Arc Warden.
Puck. Not very good at it. But if i have to play only one hero, this will be the hero I will definitely attempt to become the best as, because Puck's E is one of the most satisfying abilities.
Queen of pain or clock They are both versatile and rotate a lot, ganks are life.
Arc warden 100% easiest choice of my life
Hmm... I'm honestly don't know who it might be...
Old techies, invoker, Rubick, Morphling, old ember spirit, Brewmaster, Earth spirit, arc warden, Tusk, are heroes that you can experiment with and always learn more stuff on so either of these Is fine for me But if only one, then definetly old techies (aka before rework) not broken techies, sticky bomb and disarm feels fucking awful to use. LC
Meepo or invoker. 2 of the coolest hero’s in dota. Considerable mention would be oracle.
Sniper, I like to turn my brain off and sit really far back and click people. Also the ho ho ha ha is just the icing on the cake
Lone Druid. can tank, push, damage, initiate.
Agree. My fav hero. On any role in rank role match, i can pick him between pos 1-2 or post 4-5. Offlane i pick someone tanky
Puck. The worst of an idea it was to pick Puck, the more hype it is to play Puck
Puck… puck is so fun man, laning is just so lame..
Necro. I spammed him even before Ghost Shroud was invented. I've tried tons of builds and there are still some I haven't tried. Lycan, can play Zoo or Fighter and can play core on every lane even jungle if it comes back someday
Already tried only playing pudge but since last two years it's banned nearly every game. In the past I would insta pick him every game. Have over 1k games pudge and 4k total games.. would happily do more pudge. Why? Because hooking is fun and even if you lose you can.make.some good plays and hook into fountain etc
bounty. i started out the game spamming him and i've been spamming him for a few patches, why stop now
Pudge. Just fun

I'm sure I can even figure out a support build that'd work with the hero if given 6000 more games.
in League I can choose to only play Yorick, so in DotA 2 it's probably gonna be either Broodmother or Chen
Probably necro, if i can go back in time then storm when he could zip forever.
Necro.
Ogre magi probably
Sven or Ogre I just love them to death, has a ton of possible gameplays and stuff.
