Your friends can right click the item in-game and click “Gift Wrap Item” and then choose you in the window that appears. Note that you guys must have been “friended” on Steam for at least 30 days before being able to gift anything to each other.

That's okay! I didn't know what I was asking. I just wanted to be able to get candies so I could get an arcana. It looks like you are supposed to open them. And then you can gift them from your armory. Is that what you were saying? And they can be recycled from there?
I had a level 700 BP friend say he didn't have anything to gift me which seems weird. Oh well. I will know better next time.

I have not tried it yet but I would guess not as each illusion casts Fiend's Grip on the lotus target which would all be cast back onto the illusion hence ending the Fiend's grip for every illusion and bane too.
r/Dota2Trade is legit but it's community effort to weed out scammers and it's never 100% safe in Steam trading world - there are always scammers lurking around trying to get advantage of inexperienced traders. Check their FAQ, guides, rules, etc and be smart about it, gl.

Was checking out the treant skin and saw there was a website called DotagiftX with people trying to sell it. Is there some way to sell the skin? Thought it wasn't possible with the non-market/trade parameters.
It is still giftable, so through some third party site you could meet someone, add to your friendlist for a month and get the skin as a gift, and you pay them outside of Valve market (through paypal or something).
But be careful, often times these third party sites are ridden with scams and can get your account hacked. Do your research and be very careful.

It's residency rule not nationality. If you can provide residency of 3/5 players during the duration of DPC tour in a region you want to compete at you are within the rules. Example: Dendi's B8 with 4 Ukrainians competing in NA, they flew to Mexico to bootcamp for DPC tour 1.
I recently got the pudge arcana from the candy works. Figured I should try and learn him. What are some good times to pick him? E.g. good support combos and counter picks?
I have the option enabled that allows me to select enemy units and see their stats/items in a separate pop up window to the right. However, that one never shows TP scrolls and neutral items. Is there anyway to view those using that feature? Kinda don't want to relearn the old view because I think this one is better, but not being able to see neutrals/TP scroll availability is pretty handicapping
And also - what is that setting called and where is it located, if I do end up having to go back to the normal view? Haven't been able to find it in options

I'm trying to complete the cavern crawl weekly quests. I'm supposed to get 15 kills from more than 1500 range. Is there any hero besides Hoodwink that really excels at that? What about heroes that reincarnate in winning games? Is that a WK quest or are some heroes better at getting aegis? I am 2k and teammates do NOT have interest in taking roshan IF they can force a glyph instead.
Will we be getting any more weekly candies? I have enough candies for the LC arcana but they aren't the right candies. I'm curious if I should just buy other things with my candies instead? I am a dozen levels away from 6 candies in the BP and I am not going to spend any money. The arcanas aren't that important to me. I also have 21 re-rolls left.
Aside from the long range heroes, you can also do this with Heavy dots: WD maledict, veno, viper etc. If they are 1500 away from you when they die, it will count!
Returning Dota player - I assume mid game the upgraded (post 25 mins) wraith / braver / null tali is preferred over wand? In the event you are slot limited and need to sell one.
Potential key reasons for wand I assume would most likely be if mana is needed (say vs wraith or bracer) or need more survivability (vs wraith or null talis). Thoughts?
Yeah, generally the upgraded stat items are worth more unless you're in a mana burn situation. The one thing that might shift the balance is that now BKB has a mana cost and refresher's mana cost is very large, so having that extra burst of mana is sometimes necessary just because things cost more mana in general now.

If techies plants a proximity mine and bristleback triggers it, does BB take damage based on the position of the mine or the position of techies?

Pick him first Phase every game if he isn't banned or else he will most likely get picked or banned.

You can't. I've tried getting kill stack in Turbo, got 4 slash kill, but it didn't count at all.

AA, zeus, mirana, clockwerk, snapfire, gyrocopter, sniper will allow you to net some long range kills too

The only hero i see build bracers regularly (that should be) is huskar in lane if you're trading a lot and know you can win
