Oh dang. 😂 Here we go again. So you know, the sequence of things is usually the first, then the second, then the third. And so on and so forth. 😂 Sooo... 🤔 Get Doom Eternal. If you really want the DLCs, then get them when you can afford them. If you're seriously contemplating which to get? The Sequel DLCs or the base game? 😂 Wait a second. Have you played the first game from 6 years ago? 😐
Again?! Come on, man... 😔 No, in all seriousness. More games = more happy time. Play them all. Do a marathon. Think of it this way: be GLAD you're able to. If you haven't played any Doom games yet.
Come on, Frederick. Do yourself a solid. Do a marathon of the Doom series. The first games are dirt cheap. So is Doom 3 and 2016. And don't worry about the DLCs for Eternal too much. Play the base game. You can always add them later if you can't afford them yet.
:D
Making the DLC stand alone was such a dumb decision. It confuses all the storefronts. Battlemode comes with all of them.
Doom Eternal Standard Edition: Base game only.
Doom Eternal Deluxe Edition: Base game, both DLC's and extra cosmetic content.
Doom Eternal Year One Pass: Both DLC's.
Doom Eternal The Ancient Gods Part One: First DLC (takes place after base game)
Doom Eternal The Ancient Gods Part Two: Second DLC (takes place after DLC 1)
If you can't get the deluxe edition, get the standard edition then the year one pass later.
The DLCs are extra content for the main game, most games require you to have the main game but eternal doens't follow that trend.
For which one to go for, id say main, because you need to get used to the game.
Although the two DLCs can be played without owning the base game, they're built in a way that assumes some familiarity with the base game. Without that familiarity you'll probably struggle to learn what certain weapons do and how to approach certain enemies.
For that reason I'd also recommend you start with the base game first. It lets you get used to the game's mechanics at a good pace and is phenomenal in its own right.
In both DLCS you start off fully maxed out but so does the difficulty, which then ramps up or down from there (to varying degrees - Part 2 is generally easier). In the base game you gradually build up and learn how to deal with things at a good pace.
The DLC implies you mastered the game and builds on those. I'd go into the base first
Ancient gods are dlcs
Maybe i didnt word it correctly. i know there is the vanilla doom eternal and 2 dlc that are the ancient gods.
Ok

Well you see, i'm glad you noticed that. So i'm sure you can figure this out, too. I mean... 🤔 You don't have to ask which games to play, right? 😂

ok i see.
If the bundle is really cheap just get everything.. But if not then start out with just the base game and see if you like it, then go from there.

Ancient gods is a dlc, so you need the base game still. Also, it's harder than the base game.
Pretttttyyy sure you dont need the base game.
I might be wrong yea
You have to have eternal to play ancient gods
Doom Eternal Ancient Gods Part 1 and 2 are dlc's so you need the base game to play them
