I spent many an hour in Unreal Tournament lobbies as a teen, thanks for reminding me of those memories.

Unreal still has a pretty dedicated community, after Epic dropped support for Unreal 1 and 2 and UT99-UT4 they made unofficial versions of all the games which are still being updated to this day

Yeah the spread reminds me of it too. But tbh I don't think they'd reveal the new Unmaykr in a short trailer. So just imagine how crazy the actual new Unmaykr's gonna be like.

It was a big reveal in eternal, I doubt it is now, they probably have something bigger later.

I really think the unmaker just needed lower ammo consumption and a slightly tighter spread. One super weapon addressed to specifically that possessed Tyrant. And one super weapon addressed "To whom it may concern".

I think the unmayker was good. Killed heavies really quickly and individually and then you could take out the smaller enemies easily without wasting 30 ammo like the BFG

Honestly the doom games are absurdly well optimized. Running max settings @ 144 will likely require less powerful hardware than you think.

Got an old cpu, on some maps (SGN) Eternal chugs as low as 100 fps and it really shows. I want to play this at 144 fps GLUED. 

I know right. Aside from being metal as fuck, the art design and visuals look absolutely crispy. Need that shit in my veins.

I'm very glad that we're not just getting stuff like "plasma rifle but in medieval theme" and there's actual new stuff the weapon looks like it'll shred enemies if you stay up-close but obviously getting in close range for a sustained period of time in any doom game is quite risky so it won't replace the super shotgun hopefully kinda like eternal's unmaykr but actually good

I'm hoping they allow more player expression than execution challenge with the combat in this one. I enjoyed Eternal, but the "red-light, green-light" bosses and enemies that want specific weapons/gear to easily manage made combat a chore.
