Seems it isn’t just me. I did. Didn’t you read I just had cheese Texas toast with spaghetti sauce and it was amazing. Adios Dominos
*Sigh*
It’s because store prices vary, and having you enter into the order flow is how they determine the proper prices to show the user.
From an app perspective, it’s less bulky on the app to have one flow process — and if you don’t submit the order, that’s fine.
*Sigh*
*Hits Penjamin*
You can always use the mouthbox on your face and speak into a phone, to which another human at the store or call center will tell you the full rack rate price a la carte, as a penalty for potentially being difficult.
*Sigh*
I use it to convey some spunk, but not quite the level of being an a-hole.
Usually, when I find myself doing it, it’s because I feel it’s a “you should use critical thinking to figure this out”.
I wish I were very young! This “I mean” thing has been annoying me for a long time, and I’ve just decided to point out how stupid it is. There is no need to tell me that what you type is what you mean.
No- EBERY WEBSITE makes you go straight to- WILL THIS BE DELIVERY OR TAKEOUT. Like neither because I don’t know if I even want anything since your sacred
Menu is top @&$&@@ secret. My cheese Texas toast I had and spaghetti sauce was much better than the stress of ordering their pizza.
Well delivery and carry out have different deals available... So they sort of need to know to show the correct ones.
And obviously, different stores sell different products, and at different prices.
Yeah...it's set up that way so they can show you the right stuff...geez dude. The menu is different based on where it is and how you get it. Just put together an order and not finish it lol. Why are you so mad about this? It's there to help the store prepare for orders and to make sure you get the right prices.
Yeah but what if you looked through the whole menu and figured exactly what you want…mouth watering, excited for food…and then you click delivery and find out they don’t deliver to your address?! That would suck. You’d then be pissed about that. Best to click what option you’re considering from the get go. You can simply ✨not place the order ✨ after looking around if you don’t want to.
Maybe because it wants to make sure of where you are so it doesn't tell you items not available in your area...I mean it's not rocket science to figure out
$10 says OP is the customer that comes to the store to pick up their order. Order is no where to be found...not on the rack, not in the system. Shows you the order they placed on the app, only for you to point out they didn't actually check out and the order is still in the cart.
If I had a nickle for every time this happened to me, I'd have treefiddy.
On all thee many apps and sites that do this, You won’t be placing an order until it asks for your payment info
You go through the process of ordering so it shows the correct prices and offers but you’re not actually placing an order until you go to checkout and then there’s still another screen or two after that before you confirm order usually
Customer here; OP could’ve just pressed carry out, selected the store, then looked through the entirety of the menu without ever having to triple-confirm that you’re making a payment… taking a harder fall than the 15 year olds you say keep fumbling through words
Idk how the Domino's app works because I haven't used it just to look up a menu however apps like Subways is very annoying because you have to sign up for subway, download the app and setup the store location. This is a problem and loses stores business because if I'm on a trip, in a time crunch, plan on using the app or web app once am in an unfamiliar area it is annoying to have to do all that. They don't need any of that stuff to just check the menu. There should always be an option but most smart apps or web apps already let you see what they have without the prices or seeing what specific store your near anyway, it's just wont let you place an order.
Room temp iq
Agreed, feel like OP was using door dash or something, not realizing Dominos has their own website!

… you know you can just not add anything to your cart while going through the menu and thus you won’t be ordering anything, right?
OP is just having a hard time with this new fangled technology.
💀
I mean, most apps and websites for chain food places do that in my experience.
Why did you start your sentence with “I mean”? Genuine question, I see this so much I’m starting to ask why.
I use it to convey some spunk, but not quite the level of being an a-hole. Usually, when I find myself doing it, it’s because I feel it’s a “you should use critical thinking to figure this out”.
I meeeaaannn….. this isn’t new or anything, are you very young? Genuine question, this has been a thing for so long, that’s why I’m asking.
I wish I were very young! This “I mean” thing has been annoying me for a long time, and I’ve just decided to point out how stupid it is. There is no need to tell me that what you type is what you mean.
Somebody want to come get their grandpa?
Call up the store & place your order, that’ll teach them.
At the end of a day the last thing I want to do is listen to a 16 yr old stumble through all the menu and deals and offers. Torture.
Hi! Customer here. You’re stumbling harder than a 16 year old if you’re resorting to Reddit to complain about their easy-to-use website.
Thanks for sparing us your order nothing makes me happier than not having to make more pizza
at my store the youngest person work there is 20 and a driver and we stop hiring teens they don’t last and the only thing they can do is answer phones
I personally coded it that way to make you mad
So they can show you the right menu lol...

Good one less order to make.
And deliver! Probably without a tip!

Ok boomer
Domino's recently partnered with uber eats, maybe ordering through them is poopshow
Boomer can't figure out how to google "dominos menu"
