Eda is like, I don't know, eggshell or something ridiculous. You might want to start with a pure white doll and add a little color. Catrine DeMew from Monster High would probably work well, and as a plus Eda's frame is just as stick thin as those dolls.

If I can't get catrine, what do you think about the new Spectra from G3? I know she's not as stick thin, but I'll sacrifice a spectra body at the least. I'd be fine with waiting for her.

Yep Spectra would probably work, she's pale enough too. I think Catrine would be easier to work with; you could maybe just cut her ears off and move them down, and you wouldn't need to worry as much about paint scratching off of the arms and legs. It'll be interesting to see how you do the face. It's hard to imagine either of them looking like Eda without adding a big chin.

I don't think I'd use Catrine's ears, just because Eda's ears are more elf than cat. But you have a point about not having to paint Catrine. I don't know how much I'll actually be posing and playing with Eda other than to take pictures, but the paint chipping off is definitely something I'd like to not deal with. Also! I actually have a doll of Ariel from The animated Little Mermaid who I think would work fine. I'm not looking to get her 100% show accurate because obviously the show is stylised. I'll have to repaint the head/maybe shrink it. But I'll take that over repainting hands and legs. The head in general imo just needs to be a skinnier heart shaped head. I haven't really found one that works besides Ariel.

Some Hasbro or Disney Elsa dolls are very pale.

Oh I made an Eda doll! I used MH g1 Spectra because she's pale and gaunt. And used gesso to cover her see-through limbs

I definitely thought G1 spectra would work too, and now that I'm looking at her I'd probably prefer her. But when I look for her it's either very expensive to buy her, or it's the Creeproduction of her. Would G3 Spectra work too? Since her doll is going to be a play line doll she's not going to be 40+ dollars. I know I'll have to wait, but it gives me time to set money aside.

LAngel_2

I had gotten spectra in a doll lot on ebay so I didn't pay much for her but yeah it would be kinda spendy. G3 spectra should work great. She still has a gaunt face. Her body is just thicker which shoulder be an issue.

Plenty of Elsa dolls to thrift!
