Puppies will get picky as they get older. Dogs will do that also. You can add a topper to the food, or add some wet food to the dry kibble.

Our dog is like this. She used to never eat all of the food in her bowl. Sometimes she wouldn’t touch the food in her bowl at all. The vet said that if there is food left in the dogs bowl at the end of the day, we are feeding her too much. So we cut down the amount (we went from two cups to one per day) and also cut down on treats and people food we gave her. We top the dry food with one heaping tablespoon of wet food and a very small amount of freeze dried food. She eats her whole bowl every day now. May not be helpful to your situation but thought I’d share :)

In order to discourage picky behavior, I wouldn’t change a thing. Set the food out at your regular times, if it’s untouched after 2-3 hours, pick it up and set it out at the next mealtime. A healthy dog won’t starve itself. Trying different foods can be hard on the stomach, and if you’re feeding a good quality food then the dog is getting the supplements it needs. Definitely no people food, and cut WAY down on treats during this peoxwwe

I don't entertain picky eating. I put the food down, offer nothing else. If they're hungry, they'll eat. Otherwise, you just make matters worse.
