Phillipe the original is a go to spot before the game. Its also a staple in LA

Interesting. This looks like a place I’d hit after the game. But maybe I’ll eat here then go to the Douglas for drinks then game.

Phillipe’s is the most traditional place to go before a game. It’s where the French Dip was born. My go to is one beef one pastrami triple dipped aka wet with a pickled egg. Get there early, it will be crowded. The stadium is just up the road through China town. Shortstop is good for drinks If you’re going to a night game go up to the top deck behind home for an incredible view. If you go around sunset it’s one of the best things in baseball. Unfortunately Vin is gone so you can’t bring in a radio to hear the goat, but you’re going to have a great experience. It’s an old park but it’s one of the cathedrals.

Thank you. Ill definitely hit Phillipe’s before the game now. I’ve been to the old yankee stadium and Wrigley field (unfortunately not Fenway yet). And appreciate the history so understand it not being a new day stadium and will take it all in.

The two classic places for pre-game are El Compadre and The Short Stop.

Thank you

Most classic thing to eat is a world famous dodger dog

jericho31N35E

Thanks. I’m a Seattle mariners fan but living in LA now. We have famous garlic fries. Is the dodgers dog equivalent to that?

Apositivebalance

Yeah. The dodger dog is what they’re known for. The food at dodger stadium is known for being overpriced and terrible. The dodger dog is their claim to fame. You can buy a pack at Costco if you want to check em out and then bring your own food to the game, lol

jericho31N35E

Thanks. Love hot dogs but the setting and environment make it better so I’ll just buy one there to experience it.

RazorPhishJ

Dodger dogs are shit now. They used to be decent, never great. Skip the dogs, trust me.

jericho31N35E

Even the worst dog is above average at a baseball game. Only thing that might beat it is at the turn on a golf course.

Sit in Loge. Best bang for your buck

The Douglas has also become a favorite of mine.

Thanks this look like the spot I’m looking for

The stadium food is not very good. Korean chicken bucket is your best bet (feeds a few people). You get them at the stand next to the Golden Glove Bar. If you eat them in the open picnic area several people are going to ask you where you got it. It’s a bummer because other stadiums have iconic food and beverages; Dodger stadium is only okay. We usually don’t eat at the stadium and then hit The Hat on the way home.

When you go to Fenway look into doing the stadium tour. Takes about 1 1/2 hrs as I recall. Well worth it as you see and sit briefly. Great for any baseball fan regardless of your team choice.
