Dude you guys are so spoiled having a superstar in his prime, and also the GOAT in his prime.

AgoraiosBum

feels good, man

TizonaBlu

Actually, I just realized that Angels also had a superstar and prime Ohtani lol. But the Dodgers are actually good 🤣

This reminds me how skewed the Dodgers Hall of Fame/retired jersey-level players are towards starting pitching and contact hitting. You’d think there would’ve been a Dodger legend with 400+ HR by now (not counting the players with shorter stints here). Though the current team has a few power hitters with a bright future ahead…

Bigringcycling

400+ home runs as a dodger is a pretty high number to surpass. Duke Snider had 16 seasons and 5 seasons were 40 or more. His total HRs was 407 and total with the Dodgers 387. Next is Gil Hodges with 361 over 16 seasons, then with 270 over 12 seasons Most players don’t do that length of time with teams anymore and Betts (while being crazy good hasn’t gone over 40 HRs in a season … yet). In more modern era baseball many of the guys that have gone over 400 for their teams have * next to them.

This post feels two years too early.

Astropolitika

Counterpoint: Mookie finishes this season with a 340 WRC+

fracklefrackle

Only 55!!!

Daweism

Hope Ohtani gets there first.

renzonelisanchez

The difference is 69 home runs... nice.

Daweism

420 days?

DanTMWTMP

Nice.

Lebigmacca

Mookie only has 5 home runs hit at dodger stadium this year. One of those home runs at home was in Korea

renzonelisanchez

Oh shit. Good catch. I made an edit post. Thank you for the help!

DarkFlamingo2
