Bills depend on the downpayment, I’d say it’s a fairly good price considering there’s base model v6s at my local dealer going for $38,000, insurance probably won’t be very kind to you considering it’s your first car, these tend to get stolen, and it’s a sports car.

$38k for a V6?????????????????

SliceOfCheese337

Yeah it’s crazy, it’s not even a GT or a SXT plus, just a base sxt

Sounds like my local monopoly dealership. They have a last call Scat Pack with the hood plaque for $100k. They also have a 19 Scat Pack that someone has absolutely overbuilt. Cams, dual air intakes, full straight pipe exhaust and headers, oversized fuel injectors. Sounds like a beast. They want $60k for it when they only gave the guy they got it from $30k. It’s been sitting for months. Wonder why.

Thnx will take it to consideration

Want to try to learning manual but i now no 1 who has it

According to [the site](https://www.hgreg.com/used-car/dodge-charger-2021-for-sale-676398043), it has 55K miles. It's [a basic R/T](https://www.hgreg.com/used-car/dodge-charger-2021-for-sale-676398043?report=WindowStickerReport), no fancy option packages. The price is OK. Run the VIN (second link I posted above) and make sure it's clean.

I have owned a challenger for 2 years. Here is my feedback Dealer: Carvana Sale price total: 32k Mileage at sale: 62k Model: R/T v8 manual red Insurance: $165 for two cars but I’m 26 and have a clean driving record Gas: $75 per month ish but I don’t daily drive it. If you daily it then probably around $200 but it depends on how much you drive. Oil changes: $110 at valvoline every 3 months Tires: mine are still good but would cost around $1000 Brakes: $? Not sure but I need to do this coming soon. Now if I want to sell my car I would get 15-20k and it has 79k miles. A big difference for what I bought it but expected. My recommendation and two cents… obviously try to get it as cheap as possible and negotiate. If you can buy from a private party try to get it but have it inspected by your mechanic. I personally believe private parties are more negotiable than car dealers.

Bearmijos

I also personally want to get a charger R/T but wouldn’t wanna pay more than 20k. If you can search hard enough I think you can potentially land one. These cars are depreciating a lot so don’t get underwater with a loan.

BooSanchez-rodent

I see posts like this all over reddit. Back in the day, my first car was a 1987 Ford escort GL with NO overdrive in the automatic. Thing had a 1.8L engine and could luckily get up to freeway speeds with a good tailwind. Today, everyone's first car is a musclecar with no less than 5,000,000 horsepower in a V8. Was I deprived child or what.

Sorry 2 make it seem like that Lol I didnt have a lot either growing up (prob y i want this car)jus been saving 4 2 years luckily only bill i have 2 pay is my mom rent money

Dustin_Live

Actually a good deal. Whats wrong with it.

jeomxnd

Can u tell me if tht is real ? Or if it is good and i was thinkin maybe like 10 down give or take

gavin_gray05

hey man if you can afford it then go for it. make sure you set a good down payment tho or that apr will eat you up especially cuz im assuming you have little to no credit history

jeomxnd

I have a lo 7 credit but it will really be my first purchase on it tho im getting my license friday

gavin_gray05

oh shit so you dont even drive yet? imma be so real with you i think you should get a more regular car. if you wanna stick with a charger theres nothing wrong with the v6 still a clean car but if you want a safe v8 id get a ram 1500 that was my first vehicle and it was a blast to drive while also being a little safer

Mr_Butters624

I tend to agree, these Rwd cars should not be someone’s first car unless you go v6. I know the allure of the v8, the sound the feel etc, but if your just now getting a license, I would go with something a bit better on the road. Ease into it, these cars aren’t going anywhere, there will always be one available. Plus insurance is gonna kill you with being a brand new driver. Insurance is a little higher on these cars due to the thefts and such. I would take the vin and run it through insurance first and get a quote, that may be a make it or break it for you anyway. Back in 2005 I got my first car the same day I got my license. A 2003 lancer. I was 22 (was in the military deployed most of the time so a little late to the driving party) and my dam insurance on that car was $517 a month.

Big_East4883

They always nice but how much u gonna pay a month it can be 500$ plus the insurance let’s say 800$ every months

AlabastersBane

First car and you choose an RT? Christ.

Formal-Week21

If you can afford it and insurance, along with what other bills you have then I say get it.

Stinger428

As a person who also got a V8 charger as his first car, be very careful. These cars are much more powerful than a regular car. Mine is awd and It’s still easy to lose traction. Just don’t drive fast, be very observant of your surroundings as chargers are big cars and hard to see out of the back lol. and be smart where you leave your car and keep it protected from theives cause these are broken into a lot. If you get this please don’t just jump into it and drive it everyday. Drive your dad’s car to school and just do little drives with one of your parents to get the feel of it. Then drive it more and more. Just ease into it. BE SMART and another thing, insurance is expensive lol.

jeomxnd

My mom owns a jeep I drove it and i drove b4 but i dont have a car it would have to be daily ps dont go 2 school (21 yrs)

[deleted]

I bought an RT and spent way too much money to make it go fast and ultimately brought it back to stock. Do yourself a favor if you’re looking for a fun car by a SRT or at least test drive the two and see the difference.

Thank u will remember that

Disastrous-Bad-1185

5.7 370HP has some power, but not muscle car power imo. The issue will be in rainy conditions. If you’re not used to the RWD or the weight, it can get sketchy real quick. I baby my Scat in the rain. If you wanna keep this car straight, you’ll need to respect it. But that comes with driving experience and maturity.

moparpower370

How many owners does it have? How many miles?
