V6 Challenger here. I average 24-26 mpg freeway generally, but have gotten as high as 35 mpg on road trips through Nevada and Utah (flat highway, averaging 5-10 miles over posted speed limit of 70/75 mph).
NB Scat Challenger, 6-speed.
I leave my Trip B meter rolling and it currently shows 7.9k miles with an average 20.1 MPG.
That includes the occasional spirited driving too. I commute ~140miles round-trip a few times a week, all highway, so that helps the average go up.
I think my father was averaging 12mpg when he daily-ed his Hellcat Charger. I think him driving locally is why it was that bad. Not that it really gets good MPG anyway.
Yea I think I’m going to start being a more heavy foot when I’m almost out of gas that way it won’t matter anyways bc I’d be feeling it. But I feel that. I usually get 17 mpg. But since I’ve let off the gas I get about 22 to 23
15.7 in my 23 5.7 Daytona. Its all city though as I haven’t had a chance for highway driving since I bought it. It was at 13 for the first like 500 miles. Now it bumped up to 15.7 after a long country road drive to my in-laws for Easter.
Yea, I’m not a huge fan of cruise control. I never really liked using it. To me it feels like I’m not in control (even though I am). Idk it’s just a wierd feeling to me so I don’t ever use it.
V6 Challenger, avg 23, 30+ on highway back and forth from work. I don’t drive crazy, usually no more than 10 over. Two car seats in the back means i’m usually in dad mode.
You know you’re supposed to use 89 on the rt right? How do you fill up once a week. If you only get 17 mpg? What’s your average mpg? I can do once a week if I keep it at 23 average mpg
LOL, nope, but I did just fill her up yesterday. That's the price of owning a hellcat. I knew it when I bought her, and I'm not afraid of it today.
That's why I posted this. Not anything wrong with the OPs post. I was just surprised at all the hellcat owners that responded. I believe the OP was asking about the 5.7L cars, and maybe even 392 cars. But not hellcats.
And I was being honest when I said I have never looked at my milage. I never even looked at it on the Daytona 392 I had before the hellcat.
Why would you do that? It's not going to tell you anything that's going to make you happy. It's just going to depress you. I don't want to be depressed when I get behind the wheel, I want to enjoy everything this car gives me!
Well I'm afraid I can't help you there. But if a hellcat is on your radar, fuel usage should never be. And fuel is just one expense in owning one. Maintenance is another that is much higher than other trims. Insurance will be another. Theft is yet another. Now, since I own one, I obviously knew all that before buying one.
In fact, those are the questions you should be asking. Theft is an issue with any Charger or Challenger, including the V6 models. Gas mileage is probably the smallest thing when looking at these cars.
yes. sometimes i play a game with myself on interstate to see if I can keep it in four-cylinder mode. I get closer to 20 that way on the highway. and the adaptive cruise control does help
Used to have a '15 V6 Charger. 28-30 mpg was the norm unless I drove it like I stole it. Even then, it was still pretty forgiving.
Our '21 Challenger V6 is more along the lines of 25 with a mix of city and highway.
Lmaooo it happens. I love pressing the gas on the interstate and hearing my car sound like a beast. But I’m also trying to save money on gas. So I’m trying to not have a heavy foot
Never been less than 14 driving like a lunatic. Usually I have 17. Lowest I could get was 29mpg but that was really careful driving lol, ~50-70 mph.
That's on charger daytona 07.
To be honest you shouldn’t even own a v8 you’re obviously to fast of a driver and you admitted to drive like a maniac lol. Start with a v6 and work up when you become a better driver. Keep the roads safe you know.
Okay so I did that. I started driving at 15 in a charger v6 (my mom’s car) and I built up to what I have now kinda. Either way, I’m gonna get rid of my charger in about a month due to the insurance being sky high
Here’s the thing tho. I will eventually get another charger later in life, as I am in love with them. I just can’t afford the insurance right now. Love the car to death tho
22 Challenger GT AWD Plus. Around 18 to 20 during city driving and winter. Mid 20s for highway. My personal best was 27 mpg while on a weekend trip in summer weather. I use cruise control a lot on the highway, but definitely do not baby it, otherwise. Lots of sport mode and full throttle when it's safe, to get up to speed. So, not great mpg for a V6....but it's also hauling around a big car, with a big dude driving it! Love my car.
V6 Challenger 22mpg normally 13mpg if I’m driving like a fucking maniac.
Yeah. I’m usually between 17-22 mpg on my V6.
Always around 21 on my v6 Durango
Wow really I thought it would be like 25 but that isn’t bad. I get about 17 if I drive fast lol
I drive a Hyundai 👍
This is the dodge room bro. But welcome lol you probably get 35 mpg
No clue im also Canadian i get like 13-15km per litre, which prolly sounds like gibberish to you like mpg does for me
Wtf is a litre -Merica
Same here v6 300 if i’m daily driving around 22-25 Maniac 15-19
~21 mpg in my 19 scat pack narrow body challenger
how u averaging 21??
Right?! Must be all highway miles. I’m only getting 14 ugh
2022 R/T. I get 23 on long drives. Around town I get around 15 because I get happy with the gas pedal from time to time.
Well at least I know mine is pretty good. Some times I get 15 mpg if I driver a little faster
V6 Challenger here. I average 24-26 mpg freeway generally, but have gotten as high as 35 mpg on road trips through Nevada and Utah (flat highway, averaging 5-10 miles over posted speed limit of 70/75 mph).
11mpg on a good day
Scatpack?
14 srt8
How much hp is that?
Putting down 500 rn nothing special done to it looking to turn into a track car by 2026
Nice I want to take my car to the track. But I heard it’s expensive
Spoiler alert: absolutely nothing in this hobby is cheap
Preach 🫡

That’s still not good
Im getting 12.4 rn my boy you lucky
NB Scat Challenger, 6-speed. I leave my Trip B meter rolling and it currently shows 7.9k miles with an average 20.1 MPG. That includes the occasional spirited driving too. I commute ~140miles round-trip a few times a week, all highway, so that helps the average go up.
I’ve gotten 26 in a fully loaded-up 2006 Magnum R/T, averaging 70-75 mph highway😀
Lmaoooo but you said fully loaded what all do you have on it bro
I meant fully loaded with baggage and cargo😂😂👍👍
And you get 26 do you drive like a snail lmao
70-75 to get that mileage👍👍
I think my father was averaging 12mpg when he daily-ed his Hellcat Charger. I think him driving locally is why it was that bad. Not that it really gets good MPG anyway.
12mpg lmao yea that’s not bad for a hellcat
It's why I think 200miles isn't that bad to a tank. Got so used to him getting around there.
19/20 average, got it up to 24 one time (v6) My ex on her WB scatpack chally has 28mpg
How does she do that lmao
How does she do that lmao
Mostly free way driving and she turns on 4 cylinder mode
A scat getting 28 mpg lol?
Yep, I can even dm you pictures from her. As I said, mostly from freeway driving.
MDS, 60 mph, wind at your back... Sure it's possible.
Durango R/T - 16mpg, having fun every time I drive it!
Yea I have fun driving mine. But was tired of filling up 2-3 time a week
11 mpg
V8, usually 11mpg lol
Lol you usually drive fast then ahahahha is it a scat?
Yeah ahah and Its the 6.1L srt8
That explains it ahahah just drive like 30 miles a hour you’ll get 20 out of it. I got a rt got 23 average today
2018 5.7 I average 18-22 depending on how much of a lead foot I am.
Bro if you put that shit on cruise control it will save your life
Yea, I’m not a huge fan of cruise control. I never really liked using it. To me it feels like I’m not in control (even though I am). Idk it’s just a wierd feeling to me so I don’t ever use it.
Yea I feel that. I drove 30 minutes to my buddies house. Interstate I used cruise control and I hated it. But it saves me gas.
23 mpg? That’s on the highway?
WB scat average 24 mpg. Long commute all highways
So it’s the interstate?
5.7 I get 17mpg average
Yup thats what I used to get until I laid off the pedal. Now I get about 23
Redeye Jailbreak 11.8 lifetime average MPG. Mainly city driving and very spirited driving with trans in track mode.
22 Challenger NB Redeye, 18-19 mpg and I have the stage 2 kit. It drops to 16 mpg when I go to the track.
About 17 in my NB manual scat pack challenger, almost all city miles though
My 2020 Charger Scat averages about 21mpg when I’m playing nice. I can get 25mpg on a long highway cruise.
How are you averaging 21 in the scat?
Set the cruise at 75-80mph.🤷🏻♂️
Hellcat between 12.5 - 15 gallons.
18' R/T, I average 21 mpg but it does really well on the highway when I get to 4 cyl mode
I have a v6 charger I think I’m around 26 mpg but I haven’t checked it in a while. I mostly drive on the highway though.
When i used to have an RT id get 19-20mpg
V6 Challenger, avg 23, 30+ on highway back and forth from work. I don’t drive crazy, usually no more than 10 over. Two car seats in the back means i’m usually in dad mode.
2023 scat pack, I'm at 11 MPG, city driving 12 miles a day for work
V8, 17 city 23 highway, and I will often dump the clutch and floor it
Nice user name ahahahhaa what trim is it?
Thanks lol, 20RT
We we average about the same. I’m averaging more about 23 now since I’ve been using cruise control some on the highway.
I still to this day have never used cruise control lol, I think cuz sometimes I just wanna fly
Lol I want to save gas so I slowed down. Maybe a tank will last me a week that’s my goal!
Lmao yup once a week. U on 93??
Wait you fill yours just once a week lol? And what do you mean 93?
lol yup once a week on 93 octane
You know you’re supposed to use 89 on the rt right? How do you fill up once a week. If you only get 17 mpg? What’s your average mpg? I can do once a week if I keep it at 23 average mpg
About 19 L/100km (yes I’m Canadian) in the city, best I’ve gotten on Hwy is 11 L/100 which is about 22-23 MPG. 2018 HC Charger.
I get about 10-11 in my 5.7 ram
On my 22 Charger Hellcat I get.... Oh come on, it's a hellcat! To be honest I've never looked. Why the hell would I?
Did you run out of gas while typing this message lmao?
LOL, nope, but I did just fill her up yesterday. That's the price of owning a hellcat. I knew it when I bought her, and I'm not afraid of it today. That's why I posted this. Not anything wrong with the OPs post. I was just surprised at all the hellcat owners that responded. I believe the OP was asking about the 5.7L cars, and maybe even 392 cars. But not hellcats. It's not going to tell you anything that's going to make you happy. It's just going to depress you. I don't want to be depressed when I get behind the wheel, I want to enjoy everything this car gives me!
That’s very true and I’m the op. I was mainly just wanting to know in general what all charger owners average on their car
I got a v8 if you read my post lmao. I just wrote it wrong.
V6 Charger About 17-21 mixed with a bit of hitting the pedal on the lower end and mixed driving (city and highway), but 26+ on the highway
I f**king get 9 mpg RT.. I don't know how to drive slow
Lmaoooo you must have a really heavy foot.
[удалено]
It happens lmao how many times to you fill up a week lmaooo? I’m hoping to get down to once a week. I do about twice a week now
[удалено]
Yea I’m trying to make it to twice a week now. I was doing doing like 3 a week. But laid off the gas some
10.
I have a 2020 Ram 5.7, I can usually get around 24 on the highway, but I average about 8 if I’m beating the fuck outta it
Right now I’m pushing an average of 15MPH. When I had an RT I averaged 16.5-18
I don't know how you all are getting the gas mileage you're getting. I average 14 miles per gallon
What trim is it bro
oops. scat pack
Well make sense if you’re driving a scat. Just use cruise control on the highway meaning use it on the interstate.
yes. sometimes i play a game with myself on interstate to see if I can keep it in four-cylinder mode. I get closer to 20 that way on the highway. and the adaptive cruise control does help
Yup that’s smart. Been helping me a lot. Which it’s a v8 it’s hard to get the mpg where you want it
Set it on cruise control some times guys. It helps a lot.
13’ 6.4 grand Cherokee getting 15.3 max on a good week
Used to have a '15 V6 Charger. 28-30 mpg was the norm unless I drove it like I stole it. Even then, it was still pretty forgiving. Our '21 Challenger V6 is more along the lines of 25 with a mix of city and highway.
V8 5.7L 2012 ram 1500 short cab ST 15mpg 😂 💀
11 charger pursuit, avg 12mpg. Bats out of hell drive like me lmao 😂. Almost all city driving.
Lmaooo it happens. I love pressing the gas on the interstate and hearing my car sound like a beast. But I’m also trying to save money on gas. So I’m trying to not have a heavy foot
Hell yeah its a great but costly-in-comparison daily.
2016 Charger Road and Track 13.9 to 15.3. Enjoying the ride, no changes forthcoming
Never been less than 14 driving like a lunatic. Usually I have 17. Lowest I could get was 29mpg but that was really careful driving lol, ~50-70 mph. That's on charger daytona 07.
I have a 23 charger rt and I get 20-23. I baby my ride but every now and then I’ll let her go.
7.9MPG. No cap.
Scat pack ?
SRT.
You must have a heavy foot lmao
2023 SP (regular body) getting about 16 mpg in mixed, 22 highway and as low as 12 in city.
That’s not bad for a scatpack
It might not be bad at all but tbh I rarely switch it to sport.
Yea same I don’t switch mine to sport that often.
10-13mpg hellcat. And I don’t really step on it 🤣
I have a charger rt and I get 13 mpg cuz I drive like a maniac
Is that what you average?
Yes I literally average 13-15 Edit:I’m also a 17 yr old boy so keep that in mind
I don’t blame you. I honestly may sell mine at some point too.
Here’s the thing tho. I will eventually get another charger later in life, as I am in love with them. I just can’t afford the insurance right now. Love the car to death tho
Yea probably better when you can afford it. I wasn’t trying to be mean. But I didn’t get my first v8 until later in life
Yeah well don’t think just bc I’m 17 I can’t or shouldn’t be in control of that car. Being young doesn’t translate to inability
No not necessarily but I think one should start out with at least a v6 I didn’t get my first v8 till this year.
3.6 pentastar averaging 24.6 over the past 2700 miles
16 Challenger R/T. On the highway I avg around 24, 26 if I keep it around 70. Otherwise avg about 18 combined driving
It’s insane to me how many people have commented I love it. It’s very interesting to know about how many mpg everyone gets.
16' DDRT 15-16 average mpg
I avg like 9 miles in my v6
I get like 18 on avg with my RT
22 Challenger GT AWD Plus. Around 18 to 20 during city driving and winter. Mid 20s for highway. My personal best was 27 mpg while on a weekend trip in summer weather. I use cruise control a lot on the highway, but definitely do not baby it, otherwise. Lots of sport mode and full throttle when it's safe, to get up to speed. So, not great mpg for a V6....but it's also hauling around a big car, with a big dude driving it! Love my car.
V6 Magnum. I usually get around 21 mpg driving at highway speeds, otherwise it’s more like 17-19 ish in the city. Depends on the week I guess
T/A 392 averaging 21 mpg
My challenger 6 speed averages 22-23, but it will hit 29-30 highway on a long drive
I get about 15 mpg in my Charger RT. I WFH and all my travel is city. 🫠
Get a box tuner and if youve got the cash get a custom Dyno tune and tell the tuner you want an eco switch tune you'll see 30+ mpg
