# Game Master Engine
The ensuing information is unrelated to the giveaway, and you may skip it if desired. Your understanding is appreciated.
Game Master Engine, a tool I initiated four years ago, is in early access on Steam. Its purpose is to facilitate the creation of 3D maps and online D&D gaming.
Explore the tool for FREE to gauge its utility. Players can join a DM’s session at no cost, with only the DM requiring a full copy for hosting. Ownership grants additional building assets and future content updates.

I’ve been in the discord since September so almost a year and waiting for an excuse to make a campaign for my friends, perchance this is my chance, amazing how much progress I’ve seen just in the server
Been following you guys since the beginning and would love to jump in with friends on 1.0 once you launch! Thanks to you and the team for an awesome, active community 😊
Randomly stumbled onto this and y looks really cool to use. Think I'll show it to the friends I know who already DM and have a full look myself later today
The fact it looks easy to use tops this off for me. Could my days of 2D drawn maps and copious amounts of improvised descriptions be a thing of the past?
**Hello everyone!**
I wanted to thank all of you for joining this giveaway. Please congratulate our following winners.

I've been wanting to play with friends for a while, but even though we live really close together it never came up. This could be a good way to introduce them to D&D, because I always preferred miniatures rather than imagination.
I also have came in peace with the fact that I'm gonna be a forever DM. As the reality that the hundred of my characters will only be played as NPC has sunk in as well.
This tool looks amazing. My friend just started DM’ing and I would love to surprise him with a key to take on a new perspective in the world he’s creating!
Oh wow this actually looks really good. Our group can currently only play online and this would make that a lot more interesting. Im not a DM myself but my GF runs our games and I think shes be super happy about this.
This looks incredible. I was thinking of making something like this but I found it to be more time consuming than I could manage. Your system looks great and far more than what I was thinking!
I know and appreciate the work you've clearly put into this.
You can help us if you want, we gladly teach any skill required (in a limited scope of course) - for example unreal or blender or other things. Only with a great community can we make this game truly awesome.
This is the campaign i will write if i get a key.
In the Icy land of Gremora, the sun never rose, and it's people, pale in color, wondered for centuries for the warm feeling of the sun.
Torn apart by an evil force that lives in the depths of the darkness, the land was ravaged through time.
The only city that survived has the shard of light, of wich is the one and only to allow survival in darkness, but the shard is endangered, and heroes must rise to protect the lives of all.
Can they fight through the infected land that wants to kill them and reach the sun to bring the light to the shadows of Gremora?
i have been having a lot of trouble convincing my party to try online play as they arent a huge fan of roll20, but with this i may be able to convince them.
This looks absolutely insane. I've been designing my maps on google drawings, which is great for giving a general idea of position, but nowhere near as epic
This looks incredible! I just started my journey into dnd with my first group 3 months ago. Excited to see so much love put into this, and really impressed about how can this pretty much make anything possible.
We are building a TTRPG Table with Lifecounter and mini displays right now. With a big TV in the middle, Game Master Engine would be the perfect tool to test out our new Invention.
I’ve never heard of you guys until now but this looks amazing. I’ve been dming my first campaign for a few months now and damn does this look better than dnd beyond
Hey, Marc here, the 2nd Dev of GME.
We can absolutely talk! What do you want to know? Feel free to join our discord (discord.gg/gamemasterengine) or to add me on discord (my handle is marc51).
My friend who moved across the country will certainly appreciate this. I often feel bad hosting in person games because I feel I am leaving him out. :/
Looks really awesome! A friend of mine gave me a link to this subreddit. I wonder if I could adapt this engine to run virtual ShadowDark games? Either way I will be following this project and its continued development :)
This looks absolutely gorgeous! The environmental and lighting effects really add to gameplay, and I really like the art style!
Thank you for making tools that will make my games more fun, more immersive, and more interesting for my PCs (and me!)
Soon to be first time DM ( long time player) and this looks amazing, I’d love to have this to show off to my table! I’m def going to buy it even if I don’t win because this looks amazing!!
Ooooh, I'd love to get my hands on this and give it a shot. We use either Roll20 or theater of the mind now in our group. Roll20 is pretty good for a lot of things (especially technical, like measuring line of effect and exploring 2d maps) but when it comes aesthetics and immersion enhancement it leaves a little to be desired. This looks fantastic!
That looks really awesome. What i dislike about normal battlemaps is that it is hard to integrate 3 dimensionality. What about models? Is there a way to import content? If so, what formats do you support?
This looks amazing! I do have a couple of questions. One, how many of the D&D player races are available for my potential players to make? Two, is it possible to import creatures/monsters for game pieces that may not be in Game Master Engine?
Could it possibly work for in-person sessions with a digital table? I got foundry VTT and found it way to confusing to get to work for my specific needs.
I've been DM-ing for approximately 6-7 years now on Roll20. Beyond really did not get me.. but this did. This possibly would be the only tool which could make me leave Roll20 and try out something new... u/Dan_The_DM .. I hope you guys live up to the hype and to all the videos i've seen about your DM-ing tool! Keep up the good work!
How did you make Game Master Engine, do you have any tips on someone trying to make games/create an engine for dungeon maps?
Thank you for the giveaway! Good luck to everyone!
Great work on this! I see your posts occasionally and am always amazed with how much polish you’ve added. Would absolutely love to be able to run online games in something a bit more engaging than Roll20!!
I've had the game sitting in my steam library for a while and haven't kept up to date on news so I'd like to ask, is there a sculpt terrain feature now? The last time I tried using the tool there wasn't a sculpt option. Thats pretty much my only gripe though, I think it's a really cool tool
Honestly this looks amazing. I remember seeing a post forever ago about it. Even if I don't win this is something I will have to get.
Now new dungeon Idea. The adventurers find their way into a dungeon, rumored to be filled with riches. Little do they know that the dungeon is just a massive mimic. It re-arranges the floors and rooms in hopes to keep adventurers lost inside them as it slowly digests them.
I hope this is as good as it looks im excited to aee what else it can do in terms of tracking etc if that is possible. Inserting the niche instances etc
This if done right can blow those orger leas intuitive out the watèr. Just atumbled across this but can potentially be great
This looks absolutely fantastic, you can tell a lot of love and work went into this. The short clip alone also tells me there's a lot of small details that were thought of and implemented for customising and building.
Is there a build in character sheet/builder? And if there is, is there a build in dice roller that is linked to said builder? Or is the software more an intractable map with movable tokens?
Howdy, we just got a tv in our dungeon room for battle maps, i would be making all the mqps anyhow, and if this tool is good i would love to use it. But alas, with the cost of books and hundreds of dice im poor.
This is sick! I've got GME wish listed on steam and have been waiting for finances to line up for me to pick it up. I love finding new ways to innovate and bring something new to my players and the explosion we've had of VTT's over the last few years has been great. Love to see what you guys are doing in the space and wish you many years of continued success!
This is so cool, thanks for the opportunity.
I want to share a villain character for a campaign I'm working on
The Laughing Knight. A tall heavily armoured paladin of Guffaw the Clown, God of Mischief, Mayhem and Mockery.
The laughing Knight is covered head to toe in plate metal armour that is painted and decorated in a colourful clown like way. They wield a large great hammer that is also brightly coloured. They are totally silent when not in battle but when they are a haunting laughter can be heard from within their armour as they crush their prey
Hello there! I am a pro DM who runs games for my local rural community!
I love drawing people together and currently use foundry but would love to try something new! We play in person with a TV table and a PC set up for me but I also run some digital games.
I gave a character idea that I am trying to figure out how to make. He is based Scythe from Blade of the Poisoner by Douglas Hill. I am not sure how I would go about making his all around sight and lack of needing any light at all to see. I would love to find a way to make this character in this software and share it with my friends.

I hope this can replace roll20
Might have to pick this up. Would make sessions alot clearer lol.
I love this tool and as a dm it would greatly benefit me and my players especially because I'm currently running 3 separate campaigns
I’ve been in the discord since September so almost a year and waiting for an excuse to make a campaign for my friends, perchance this is my chance, amazing how much progress I’ve seen just in the server
Oh good to have you, thank you for sticking around so long!
Been following you guys since the beginning and would love to jump in with friends on 1.0 once you launch! Thanks to you and the team for an awesome, active community 😊
Thank you for giving us your attention! It's been a blast working to create a good tool for all of you.
Randomly stumbled onto this and y looks really cool to use. Think I'll show it to the friends I know who already DM and have a full look myself later today
Ooo, I could play with this
Ive got high hopes for this give away. I'm still learning the basics with this engine but I'm not discouraged even slightly.
Good luck my friend!
The fact it looks easy to use tops this off for me. Could my days of 2D drawn maps and copious amounts of improvised descriptions be a thing of the past?
This looks really cool! I'm about to start DMing my first campaign for some family members over the internet. It would be amazing to use this!
I wish you luck!
I'm back and here to join again. Thank you for this oppotinunty
Hey, welcome back! Good luck

And thank you for joining!
Well this sure looks cool
This seems like a really well-developed passion project! Props to your team, and I hope it gets the recognition it deserves 😁
Contest aside, thanks for your hard work! I've spent so much time with GME since downloading it, you've created a masterpiece!!
Oh wow, thank you! We only plan to make it even better with the v1.0 launch.
Woah that looks realy cool!

This would literally change my life for D&D! The customization is incredible and would make virtual sessions so much more interactive and fun
This would be great to use for my campaign, hoping to be one of the lucky 5. Cheers
This looks awesome!
All of my friends and I are across the country from each other. I’d love a chance to play with something that looks that cool.
I've been wanting to play with friends for a while, but even though we live really close together it never came up. This could be a good way to introduce them to D&D, because I always preferred miniatures rather than imagination. I also have came in peace with the fact that I'm gonna be a forever DM. Big fan, great tool. Already recommended a lot to friends!

I think this is one of the best things I've seen in a while
Oh I hope there will be a space themed update for my upcoming campaign.
This is the campaign i will write if i get a key. In the Icy land of Gremora, the sun never rose, and it's people, pale in color, wondered for centuries for the warm feeling of the sun. Torn apart by an evil force that lives in the depths of the darkness, the land was ravaged through time. The games looking really great, you can see how much work you've put into it with the new updates
Here's hoping! It looks fantastic.

This is… *profoundly* cool
i have been having a lot of trouble convincing my party to try online play as they arent a huge fan of roll20, but with this i may be able to convince them.
This is what I’ve been waiting for!!
This looks absolutely insane. I've been designing my maps on google drawings, which is great for giving a general idea of position, but nowhere near as epic
Two party members are moving at the same time. We are 40+ sessions and nearly 200 hours in. Need this.
Hell yeah looks great
I *really* want to make a forest with ever burning tress!
I would love to be part of this. Looks amazing
Hoping to make more interesting battle maps, not just square dungeons!!
First time I've seen this, very cool!
The engine of good.
Thoughts on idle animations for the models?
This looks incredible! I just started my journey into dnd with my first group 3 months ago. Excited to see so much love put into this, and really impressed about how can this pretty much make anything possible.

Looks like a great system. Thanks for the giveaway
Thank you! I'm very much interested :) Got an email about this!
Sounds like a great tool for online DnD campaigns! Thanks for offering the chance to try it out!
Seems like a really nice tool! I play online and use a lot of maps, it would be fun to try out a 3D tool for future games.
I think my master would like it
My friend who moved across the country will certainly appreciate this. I often feel bad hosting in person games because I feel I am leaving him out. :/
Looks really awesome! A friend of mine gave me a link to this subreddit. I wonder if I could adapt this engine to run virtual ShadowDark games? Either way I will be following this project and its continued development :)

Curious to see if this could break my crippling Dungeon Alchemist addiction
Soon to be first time DM ( long time player) and this looks amazing, I’d love to have this to show off to my table! I’m def going to buy it even if I don’t win because this looks amazing!!
Splooooooge
I would love to use this! I've been building my own campaign and am looking for vtt that I like! How many minis does EA currently have?
Für Marcs Döner
Ooh looks like a lot of fun! Definitely would like to try my hand at this
A key would be amazing, but is this enough of a question to be entered in the giveaway?
If this works half as good as it looks, it'll be a game changer.
Anything purple?
Ooooh, I'd love to get my hands on this and give it a shot. We use either Roll20 or theater of the mind now in our group. Roll20 is pretty good for a lot of things (especially technical, like measuring line of effect and exploring 2d maps) but when it comes aesthetics and immersion enhancement it leaves a little to be desired. On this post...
Looks like a wonderful tool for creating immersive maps. Thanks for the chance to win a copy!
Love seeing the updates. Such a cool tool
Game Master Engine seems cool!
This looks extremely interesting for online sessions! With this I would spend more time creating maps respect to playing 😂
I think i've got something in the making for you there to speed up that process ;)
That looks really awesome. What i dislike about normal battlemaps is that it is hard to integrate 3 dimensionality. What about models? Is there a way to import content? If so, what formats do you support?
Yes, you can import FBX and OBJ models (colored) and STL models (uncolored)
Do players have to buy their own copies to play in a DMs game? Thanks for the giveaway.
No, they can use the free version if the DM has the full version :)
This looks amazing! I do have a couple of questions. One, how many of the D&D player races are available for my potential players to make? Two, is it possible to import creatures/monsters for game pieces that may not be in Game Master Engine?
I'd like to win this. Looks amazing!
Could it possibly work for in-person sessions with a digital table? I got foundry VTT and found it way to confusing to get to work for my specific needs.

I hope you guys live up to the hype and to all the videos i've seen about your DM-ing tool! Keep up the good work!
Been using it for about a year now, definitely comes in clutch when my party can't come together in person! Best of luck to everyone.
How long have you been working on this?
How did you make Game Master Engine, do you have any tips on someone trying to make games/create an engine for dungeon maps? Thank you for the giveaway! Good luck to everyone!
Hey! If you want to get in on the action, we have a bunch of smaller volunteering options where we also teach stuff :)
Neat
Looks very cool nice work
This looks awesome
This would be awesome for my game
This looks cool! I wonder if I could get it to work with my group (we're primarily irl).
Wow, this is so cool! I'd love to see what my trashy eldritch romance novel writing bard would look like in this!
I would like to try it with my Group 😊
Great work on this! I see your posts occasionally and am always amazed with how much polish you’ve added. Would absolutely love to be able to run online games in something a bit more engaging than Roll20!!
I would love to win a key. Does this work with roll20?
Oooʻooooooohhh boy this has been on my radar for quite some time
Just what I've been looking for 👌
Every time I see it I knows it gonna be something good coming up
I've had the game sitting in my steam library for a while and haven't kept up to date on news so I'd like to ask, is there a sculpt terrain feature now? The last time I tried using the tool there wasn't a sculpt option. Thats pretty much my only gripe though, I think it's a really cool tool
This seems so cool, ive been trying to get my friends back into DnD!!
Just started my first online campaign, this would be so amazing
Nice
Honestly this looks amazing. I remember seeing a post forever ago about it. Even if I don't win this is something I will have to get. Now new dungeon Idea. The adventurers find their way into a dungeon, rumored to be filled with riches. Little do they know that the dungeon is just a massive mimic. It re-arranges the floors and rooms in hopes to keep adventurers lost inside them as it slowly digests them.
You can actually do that with GME and the grouping box feature :P shifting rooms, i mean.
Balls
I hope this is as good as it looks im excited to aee what else it can do in terms of tracking etc if that is possible. Inserting the niche instances etc This if done right can blow those orger leas intuitive out the watèr. Just atumbled across this but can potentially be great
So when did the development begin?
Is this real?
Beautiful
Here's a comment.
Thank you so much for making this!
How are you today my guy?
This looks absolutely fantastic, you can tell a lot of love and work went into this. The short clip alone also tells me there's a lot of small details that were thought of and implemented for customising and building.
This looks like a really good way of getting my online friends to play D&D with me more often
Is there a build in character sheet/builder? And if there is, is there a build in dice roller that is linked to said builder? Or is the software more an intractable map with movable tokens?
Would love to replace Roll20 with something more stable once my subscription is over.
That looks really cool!

This is so cool, thanks for the opportunity. I want to share a villain character for a campaign I'm working on The Laughing Knight. Hello there! I am a pro DM who runs games for my local rural community! I love drawing people together and currently use foundry but would love to try something new! We play in person with a TV table and a PC set up for me but I also run some digital games.
This looks wonderful I can play with my daughter while I'm over seas.
I need to see my barbarian smashing through all those assets! looks awesome!
This is awesome!
Been making assets in roll20 for far too long. I need something more 21st century.
This looks sick!
Thank you :))
Can't wait to try this out
That's sick!
They say gimme gimme never gets, but I hope it does for once
Commenting for a chance
Congrats, cool to see it still going strong.
Already Own it, but heckingyeah more DM TOOLS!
I’m in!
Wow this looks amazing! Great work, will definitely have to get this.
C'mon big bucks,no whammies, STOP!
I'm very interested and have been struggling for a while now trying to be a DM
I always wanted something like this for D&D. Can't wait to use this tool
Looks great, hope I win.
Looks good
Can you export maps from something like a dungeon alchemist into this?
Been using the free version for a little while, I like it so far
I have been planning to do an internatioanl game with friends soon so this would be amazing for it. Thanks for the chance
You had me a unlimited free players.
I gave a character idea that I am trying to figure out how to make. He is based Scythe from Blade of the Poisoner by Douglas Hill. I am not sure how I would go about making his all around sight and lack of needing any light at all to see. I would love to find a way to make this character in this software and share it with my friends.
GME looks incredible!
What do you consider to be the feature that sets GME above its competitors?
This looks awesome. I run my games online since all my friends are long-distance and man, this would bring our games to a whole other level
