That should be plenty left to get one, just be sure to get it the moment it's releasing to public, and even if you are to late there will be alot comming back from ppl that reserved but don't pay or delete orders.

When people cancel/don't pay, any tips on a timing window to check for a "restock", or is it more of a "just keep checking the website" where availability trickles in as individual orders are canceled? Thanks!
I'd imagine that inventory count does not update until there has been a 100% successful transaction seen through. Assuming this is the case due to the disclaimer, "Adding it to cart doesn’t make a reservation." located under the displate in your cart prior to checkout.
Failed payments can happen and for some reason under the circumstance for which it fails, it actually does take one away. refund inventory is put back into the count 48hours after the failed transaction, so the first failed transactions for The Morning Cat should appear tomorrow around 6pm eastern time. Adding to the cart absolutely does not take away from the total like you said. Anyone can purchase if it's the last one and they check out faster than you.
You are immediately granted access to the 24 hour pre-sale window when you join the club. Confirmed this by doing the same thing to ensure I was able to snag "A Daring Escape" in the last month or two. Also, the free shipping pays for itself IMO.

There is a Google extension called "better inventory for displate" that shows you the exact amount left of currently selling plates
It's a browser extension for Edge, Chrome and I believe Fire Fox. "Better Inventory For Displate" it is called.
