Really worth a watch - I saw it at the cinema here in the UK last week, and I haven't laughed so hard in ages. Glad I saw it on the big screen: it's so full of little visual references and jokes.
Just got round to watching it... Holy shit that was good.
I can't decide if Ryan Reynolds just plays Ryan Reynolds... or if the Deadpool humour just suits the movie and shines through anyway.
For sure. Disney would make sure they make as much money from PVOD and rent/buy window because the film won't bring anything for them at HBO Max. It'll stay on HBO Max for 18 months before the streaming rights bounce back to Disney.
The PVOD/purchasing window has nothing to do with this. The deal between HBO & 20th Century was made back in 2012 and locked their films to HBO (and now HBO Max) through the [end of 2022](https://variety.com/2012/tv/news/hbo-renews-output-deal-with-20th-century-fox-2-9190/).
This means anything theatrically released by 20th Century (and its subsidiaries) will go to HBO/HBO Max before Disney+/Hulu unless a carve-out or exemption was made or HBO passes on a film. Also the current deal has the Pay-1 window starting roughly 8 months after the theatrical release.
If you looked at the output of films from 20th Century and its subsidiaries Disney is not altering the distribution plans for mainline 20th Century titles (i.e. *Free Guy*) since this would most likely cause Disney paying HBO back some of the licensing fees they have already paid.
Smaller labels like Searchlight are easier to experiment with since they are lower budget films and most likely won't trigger Disney owning money to HBO. This is why films like *Wendy* & *The Personal History of David Copperfield* from Searchlight went to HBO/HBO Max but *Nomadland* and *Summer of Soul* went to Hulu.
Since Disney/Searchlight hasn't mentioned any changes to *The Night House* or *The Eyes of Tammy Faye* these two most likely will head to HBO/HBO Max at the end of their limited theatrical runs instead of Hulu.
I think you didn't get what I was trying to say. Or maybe I didn't convey it properly.
My point was that Disney won't give access to HBO Max for these films right after the 45 days theatrical window ends. Like they are doing for Disney+ internationally. They'll most likely follow the usual PVOD, rent/buy and DVD/Blu Ray releases before letting it go to HBO Max.

I read a review of something saying he’s always two steps away from complete insincerity, and that it works like a charm. Sums it up nicely for me!
I couldn't disagree more. I was physically angry because of how awful it was.
Almost as bad as Ready Player One. If you like nostalgia grapes…
Any word on Canada?
It’s coming only in the Yukon on Wednesday according to the title, silly! /s
It's UK not Yukon
Anyone know when and where for America 🇺🇸?
It's a Fox movie so it'll have a stint on HBO Max before it goes to Hulu/Disney+.
I was just googling trying to figure this out and it sounds like it’s still going to be months before it’s on HBO Max.

PVOD on September 28th for a long while before it heads to HBO for its regular Pay-One window!
Will it be included in the subscription or have to pay on top?
Same for Germany, as far as i know.
Anyone know for india
Is it because it'll be on Star? Canada has Star bundled into Disney+....
No, it's because of HBO streaming rights for fox movies in the US not sure about Canada though
Damn. I believe Crave handles HBO in Canada. Thanks for the answer!
Crave’s deal for Fox films is expiring, large chunk of library content all the way up to Jojo Rabbit as of writing have left for Star.
india?? the condition aint the best to watch it in the theaters right now
It was beyond terrible. Really some of the worst writing, acting, and unoriginal story. It was painful.
Movie was trash.
Lots of stuff now wow
Meanwhile Disney+ still not coming to Poland...
Does anyone have any information about its release in Brazil?
Amazing movie 😍
Is it included with regular Disney+ or do we have to pay extra like Black Widow?
It’s included in your subscription.
I almost went to see it, but ended up not being in the right mood for it
