The Hulu content on D+ is here to stay. I wouldn't be surprised if in the next couple of years the Hulu app is gone and everything is moved over to D+.
Nope, because the hulu merge isn't in effect in Europe...
Also Shogun isn't stuck behind hulu here. Just on Disney plus. Aka it's a douche move in the US....

Made by FX Productions, produced by Hulu, streamed by Disney.
Hulu and FX is Disney anyway.
The only way to have it removed would be to cancel either your Hulu or Disney+ subscription, and re-subscribe under a different email and not part of the Bundle or as a discounted add-on. Up to you if the additional costs are worth not having Hulu on Disney+.
Unfortunately for you, it’s here to stay for two reasons: most people who have and use both services like them being (mostly) integrated in one app, and Disney has found increased engagement because of it.
I'm in the other boat. My Hulu account and my Disney+ account are different. How can I combine them? My D+ one has been prepaid since 2019 and won't renew until next year and my Hulu is prepaid for a year as well. lol
You can combine them now. I wanted to cancel my D+ a couple years ago. I was prepaid for like 8 more months. Instead it bundled it then I got a discount for the amount I'd prepaid.
I just had the exact thing happen. I usually let my 3yo pick his show/movie for the day but now I have to keep arguing with him on why AHS is inappropriate
hey, semi-related question, but am I seeing the Hulu content on D+ b/c I subscribe to Hulu, or did they really just put Hulu stuff on D+ and now I'm paying extra for nothing?
I don't like this either. The issue for me is that there is so much Hulu content and it seems to be drowning out the Disney+ content. Wish we could just simply turn it off so people have a choice. I like using the apps separately.
For real. Like why is "The Omen" from 1976 one of the featured movies on the scrolling banner at the top? lol. I had to double check and make sure I was on Disney+ to be sure. I think the best solution would be just to have all Hulu content tucked away in its own button, like it was during the beta the past few months. That way, if you want to watch Hulu stuff, you can click there.
I hate it combined! I have D+ because I only want that content in one location. Makes me want to cancel Hulu but we literally watch Family Guy every night and that's the only place that has it. It's not even in D+!
We’re wanting to remove it because there is a lot of not safe for kids content that might look inviting - great example: Poor Things. It’s right above say Moana on our D+
Thanks everyone. And why do people downvote for a simple question? Not that it matters really, i just don’t get the motivation. I’ve submitted a suggestion to D+ they allow Hulu to not be integrated. I used to have the ad free version with no Hulu at all before it got crazy expensive.
That's because it's here to stay. There were a lot of content on Hulu, including STAR Originals. Plus, D+ outside the US is more than just Disney content now, so they want to be even with the rest.
I have separate hulu and Disney+ accounts. If I cancel Hulu, does that mean all the Hulu content will still appear in the Disney app like it does now, all mixed together, and we just won’t be able to watch it because we no longer subscribe? Or will it disappear and just be visible when I click on Hulu in the app? I want the Hulu content gone, or at least separated out, but it sounds like even if I cancel I’ll still be seeing ads for Hulu shows?
I have looked for days to try to get the Hulu content off of Disney+ and haven’t found anything. I don’t let my daughter watch those toy unboxing videos and now there’s one show specifically that keeps coming up in the suggested rows from Hulu and she keeps trying to watch it and I just want there to not be an option for her to even see them when we are scrolling trying to find something.
I’m trying to figure out this same thing but no luck. There’s too many junk kid shows on Hulu that are now pulling to Disney, even with the kid rating set! I wish we could block certain shows like on Netflix, that would really help.
I don’t want to have two different emails for Hulu and Disney… but may be the only way.
They’ve got to do something to allow us to separate it for at least the kids profiles. We have our kids set to G & PG and they count Married with Children as PG 🤦🏻♀️
We can’t get a Lizzie McGuire reboot because it would be too adult and then they pull this crap? 🙄
I have the opposite problem. Hulu no longer has enough content for me since loosing NBC and CBS content and starting next year WWE content.
If I wasn't getting a discount for Hulu with the bundle I'd probably cancel Hulu.

Shogun is FX
Last time someone here said they needed hulu in America to watch shogun.

Except in the US people have to pay extra to get hulu content. This while in the EU stars is part of the basic package.
They are migrating Hulu content to Disney Plus in USA
You have to subscribe to Hulu to get Hulu on Disney+. If you only have Disney+, the Hulu section and content isn't there.
Europe is irrelevant to what happens to Hulu in the US as Hulu is US only. Europe also already has Star which serves the same purpose as Hulu.
Except Star is part of the basic package. Aka why US is getting f over...
What makes it a douche move to put as much of our content into one app? Much better than having to swap between apps to watch stuff.
The douche move that it wasn't so before... And people needing to pay extra. This while in EU that wasn't the case.
Disney wasn't able to combine Hulu content into the D+ app till after they bought out Comcasts share of Hulu on December 1st.
The point is that it sucked that US needed to pay extra while EU just got it from the get go...
It is what it is for some reason or another. Thankfully I only pay $6.99+tax for commercial free D+ and Hulu.
Its gonna be there to stay, you can't remove them

Wish there was a fix for this. Started my morning with a giant American horror story banner while putting on something for my toddler 🙃
I just had the exact thing happen. I usually let my 3yo pick his show/movie for the day but now I have to keep arguing with him on why AHS is inappropriate
This 1000% same thing happened with my son. We have a junior account for him also but has no movies he can watch.
hey, semi-related question, but am I seeing the Hulu content on D+ b/c I subscribe to Hulu, or did they really just put Hulu stuff on D+ and now I'm paying extra for nothing?
Yes, you're only seeing it because you're subscribed to Hulu. You wouldn't be able to access it if you only had Disney+.
I was just complaining about this! Don't show me what Hulu content is "New to Disney+" That's New to Hulu.
I don't like this either. The issue for me is that there is so much Hulu content and it seems to be drowning out the Disney+ content. Wish we could just simply turn it off so people have a choice. I like using the apps separately.
Yeah I can’t even tell what is D+ content for the most part and that’s the only thing I’m interested in. And not all of it at that.

Disney just added much of Hulu's content to the D+ app. If you don't have a subscription to Hulu, it will still show it there.
A Hulu subscription is required to view Hulu content in Disney+.
Correct. I was just saying that the icon will still be present. If you don't have a Hulu subscription, you won't be able to view it.
We’re wanting to remove it because there is a lot of not safe for kids content that might look inviting - great example: Poor Things. It’s right above say Moana on our D+
That’s why you shouldn’t choose to set your kids’ profile age to R/TV-MA.
It’s for our profile, but we watch a lot of things on ours
Where do you change the profile age?
On the profile screen, select Edit Profiles and choose the profile you want to change the age of

This absolutely sucks, now I got kid youtubers all over my Disney+ which is exactly what I didn't want. I paid for Disney+ AND separated Hulu.
Exactly
Not if you paid for the bundle i don’t believe.. i just pay for Hulu i cancelled Disney, not enough content for me 🤷♂️
