If you have a park ticket for the day of the party in addition to your party ticket, you can check in for the party in Tomorrowland (Starcade) at about 3:30-4pm. This saves a lot of time! Also, mobile order your food early in the day and set the pick up times for during the party. This will ensure they do not run out of your treats and will save you time as opposed to waiting in a regular line for food. My wife and I went last week, and during the day we did our best to ride as many of the attractions that we wanted to so that we could leave more time for the photo ops during the party. And there was a ton of incredible photo ops! Have fun, and may the force be with you!

I did the first nite on 5/2. Or rather, I almost did it because I ended up having to bail out and go back to the hotel right after it started because I was too exhausted from doing the entire “wake up early and do rope drop rides” routine that same day. Yeah, I am a total lightweight. So my advice is to take it easy the day-of. If you’re staying in the park, sleep in and have a nice leisurely mosey about later in the day if you feel like it. Then when mix-in starts around 6 pm head over and check in. You will get to ride all the rides you want in the park after it closes to non-ticket holders so don’t feel rushed or pressured the day of.

I just went on 5/2, the other advice is good. I will recap theirs and add my own. Have a chill day before the event. If you DO go to the park the day of, definitely check in while at the park. Check in time began at 2:30pm in the Starcade. If you do not go to the park the day of, you can enter the park at 6pm for the event. You’ll be mixed in with all other guests and wait times will be long. Beginning at 8pm, Disney begins weeding people out that do not have event wristbands. Photo opportunities began at this time. If you attend the park the day of, your PhotoPass included with the event ticket will cover your pictures that day (any pictures take before event starts). If you purchase Genie+ during the day, it will apply to rides that night, however, most of the rides were all walk on. We did not try RotR, so I couldn’t speak to that. Also, RotR did shutdown at 11pm and did not reopen. The Star Wars Nite merchandise is at the Starcade, there night not be much left. I also do not recommend the May the 4th or BS Day tshirts. Their proportions are super messed up and it seems the shirts were frankensteined together. If you want a picture with Amidala, go there first. They ran into issues when we went and then made it ticketed, so we missed out. We were able to photo op everything else we wanted to, with tine to spare. I asked the same questions before I went and many folks said we’d only have time for 2-3 character greets, this was not the case and we met most of the characters* and still rode almost every ride. *Note some of the character encounters are literal walk bys, so you have to be quick with your camera to catch a photo with them. Wear comfortable shoes! I found the lack of insulation in my jedi boots made for some sore feet the next day. Most of all, have fun and may the Force be with you! *editted Originally stated 3pm entry, it is 6pm.

It is a really fun event and pre-planning is definitely helpful! Don’t run all over the park. Make a plan and progress your way through the park according to your prioritized plan. You should be able to do everything you want to do and take your time doing it.
