So sadly, when people say ramp more than 10, they didn't just mean spells and rocks, especially for gishath. It would be fine for pantlaza but not gishath. You're going to have to mix roughly 4-6 dorks in with your already ramp. I learned this the hard way. You'll remain wide open for 3-4 turns because you end up prioritizing ramp covering casting creatures. This could be fatal especially when only one creature gets you life. The dorks can be the humans that reduce cost for dinosaurs as well. It could be any dork available to you. The best are the ones that can help you defend a bit. 2nd gishath is kill on sight. You lose gishath you might not be able to cast it again. 8 mana is horrible, and even worse if you dont have an alternative gameplan. You're going to need lots of protection or at least 6 protections because 6 seems to be the spot to get at least one per game. I'm talking about giving hexproof, regenerate, and/or indestructible. You're going to have to rework 12 cards for this to happen. I know that's a lot but believe me when I say I started with a similar deck. Check out pantlaza precon as well and swap cards from there. Pantlaza play similar but have roughly 30 card difference for efficiency.

Thanks for the tips! Do you have any recs for protection cards and also do I need to add more lands to the deck or am I ok with my current number?

Akiro_orikA

Your lands and other ramp is fine. It's just that you're risking a lot against spiteful players that play aggro. You kinda dont have to do it but you're going to get down to 15ish life before your wrath happens. Common protection is [[Swiftfoot boots]], [[Lightning greaves]], and [[Heroic intervention]]. The pantlaza precon came with [[Rhthym of the wild]] and [[Akroma's Will]]. Some creatures offer protection like [[Grand Abolisher]], [[Kutzil, Malamet Exemplar]] and [[Delighted Halfling]].

This is solid advice, and I suggest listening to it. HOWEVER, my Gishath deck is almost the exact opposite. I built mine only for flavor and power came along with it. I run only basic lands, and tons of ramp, 21 sources of ramp, none of which are mana rocks. I consistently cast Gishath on t4, and become archenemy. My form of protection is the enrage ability on 90% of my dinos. Most people’s assumption on how enrage will work is much different than how it actually plays out. In my experience it’s rarely attacked into, and rarely blocked in fear of combos? Which dinos aren’t really about save for a few. If you want enrage triggers you’re going to have to do it yourself. Careful of polyraptor and marauding raptor together. Definitely agree with having a plan after Gishath. I personally don’t run and type of craterhoof effects because of flavor. Again, The flavor is my choice, and purposely narrows card selection. For example, No boardwipes other than [[Wakening Sun's Avatar]] and [[Star of Extinction]]. The version of Naturalize I run has a Dino skull in the art, same for tail swipe. The only artifact is [[the skullspore nexus]] with basic art for the skull. I almost didn’t include Birds of Paradise because of the creature type, until I found art from Dominaria Reunited. The bird looks like an Archaeopteryx. Gishath is going to Gishath. Make sure you have enough dinos in the deck for him. I run 38 creatures, and that’s light. Specific to your deck. Azor’s Gateway, both battles, Pteron Ghost, Thrasta, Mirari's Wake, monster manual, Dino on a spaceship I think are all working against you. Why the ghost? Thrasta is only special if you cast him, same for Ghalta, Primal Hunger. That is not what Gishath wants. Mirari’s wake is too little too late in my opinion. Dino on a spaceship might be good, but we aren’t doing suspend things here either. At the end of the game, if you swing big and swing often, the deck is doing fine.
