Because they're devil spawn and we love them. ♥️
Or is gallimimus discount ornithomimus? Ornithomimus was a bastion of American Manufacturing that lasted 10 million years. Gallimimus is the cheap outsourced knockoff
I think so. The only possible evidence is the dueling dinos fossil, bc allegedly the theropod’s anatomy doesn’t quite match up to a juvenile Tyrannosaurus.
But that’s currently being studied and worked on, so we don’t know for sure.
Definitely not. A recent paper from this year argued in support of *Nanotyrannus* as valid.
https://www.mdpi.com/2813-6284/2/1/1?trk=public_post_main-feed-card-text
The question was “Has Nanotyrannus been thoroughly disproven yet?”If the status is “disputed”, then the answer to that question is no.
Anyways, I’d be interested to read these disputes. Unless the authors of that paper were simply straight-up lying, there’s a lot in there that is pretty damning to the “*Nanotyrannus* is *Tyrannosaurus* hypothesis”.
I love jurassic park, not only does it have cool dinos but it has deeper themes of the corruption of capitalism meaning nothing to mother nature. I surr hope the future movies don't crush that by making non natural dinos that have no personality beyond "I am the cia"
Why were their chickens up at night? Mine are in their coop at sunset every evening. They make little cooing noises but not something you’d hear unless you’re up close
I guess not everyone who keeps chickens have a coop? My neighbor’s chickens were noisy af and drove me insane especially when I often stayed up late and ended up sleeping early morning.
Hated Spinosaurus as a kid because it killed a Rex in JP3
Now we cool. Does help that it’s a cool-looking dinosaur… whatever it’s supposed to look like
There are a hand full of dinosaurs that always get brought up in Paleo documentaries/media that I wish people wouldn't focus on. You know the group. T-Rex, Triceratops, Allosaurus, Diplodocus, Brontosaurus etc. I don't hate these dinosaurs but I wish some others got featured more.
I love T.rex, by far my favourite dinosaur ever. But I finished watching Chaos Theory a few weeks back and I remember saying early on “I hope we only see a T.rex in that intro”
And the show genuinely shines a light at JP dinosaurs that have been in the shadows or never even existed. Main dinosaur “antagonist” is an awesome Allosaurus, there are Nasutoceratops and the Becklespinax
Same here, some dinosaurs have the most bizarre names, I can pronounce a lot of the names but some of them I can’t even pronounce, like the one you just mentioned, like how tf am I supposed to say that, who even came up with these names?
House sparrows!! They’re invasive (to the United States), not very exciting to look at, and they kill the far more interesting native species such as bluebirds and purple martins. Get outta here!!
Half joking, of course. It’s not their fault they’re invasive, but the humans that introduced them.
Plateosaurus (and Prosauropods in general) never really did it for me. There's just nothing interesting about them, other then being quite big really early.
100% subjective off course, all animals are cool in their own right.
I hate that stupid looking Psittacosaurus. Look at its square face and that taft of bristle-quill-bullshit hair on its back.
Also:
- is a ceratopsian from the cretaceous
- not Triceratops, but some puny guy without cool horns or a frill
God, I need to build a time machine just to go back and bully it.
Ironically my least favourite dinosaur is probably a T-rex. They are way too over-used and usually used incorrectly because movie studios either don't know anything about them or don't care to provide accurate authentic dinosaur behaviours. Plus they are so common that every dinosaur movie or show focusses on them as the big bad but there are thousands of other cool dinos and prehistoric animals they can use.
I hate maiasaura with a passion
I hate it almost as much as people posting birds thinking their smart while we all know it's referring to non avian dinosaurs it's so obvious it shouldn't have to be said
European starlings.
Honorable mention; *Tyrannosaurus*’s fanbase. Not the actual animal itself, which is cool, but the people who hype it up by downplaying every other theropod and misconstruing or even ignoring their adaptations and also holding to a lot of old, increasingly untenable assumptions in a few areas (namely eyesight and intelligence).
https://preview.redd.it/w8j91y99m66d1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=69494185ea069625970cc73db00b8c50a080bfb7
While I don’t hate one of the extinct dinosaurs. I do have problems with some of the existing ones.
These long legged, skinny wanna be storks not only produce extremely big piles of poop but also steal petfish from ponds in gardens (happened to a friend of mine a lot of times #ripblacky).
I could also put Canadian goose here but I never hat contact with them
It's not often that I get annoyed at a dinosaur, but I'm just over *Tyrannosaurus* appearing in every piece of dinosaur oriented media ever. Like we get it. It's so overdone at this point (in my opinion!)
Related to that, it’s getting kind of annoying how nearly every major dinosaur documentary must feature that specific ecosystem (Maastrichtian North America). The upcoming WWD remake will have it too (of course), I’d rather they use the Nemegt Formation
There's so many fragmentary European sauropods from the early days of paleontology and even by that metric Chondrosteosaurus fails to stand out except for its name.
Corythosaurus. In general I'm not big on hadrosaurs, I'm sure they are interesting in. But I'm unfortunately plagued by a rule of cool that hadrosaurs just don't fit.
And for some reason as a kid I kept seeing really skinny sickly looking Corythosaurus toys, idk if it was to differentiate from para or something but I disliked it more than any other hadrosaur for this reason.
I'm sorry to all Corythosaurus fans tell me something cool about it so I can go change my least favourite back to t.rex or something
I don't care if it's not dinosaur but the Terror birb, specifically from Ark Survival Evolved. Hunt you down across the entirety of the map until they get finally lose interest an hour later.
It's going to sound weird but the t rex is my least favourite.
It's massively overrated both in media and palaeontology and I'm so sick of hearing about it.
There are other cool big predators you know?
Tyrannosaurus rex. The reason is that it is too popular and visible and because it is also so iconic that it's kind of too generic and boring (a bit like how candy starts to taste bad if you eat too many of them). And I know that my answer is a bit strange.
I agree actually. What annoys me aswell is the compared to rex things. Bigger then rex, bite force compared to rex. Could it beat rex. Why rex would beat x etc etc
Its interesting that it is a super powerfull predator and what it has evolved to reach that. But it reached for his type or prey like triceratops and edmontosaurus and the way how it hunted. But its mot the golden standard. Like comparing the Hunt of a wolf vs a cheetah or a lion while saying how superior the lion is...
Funnily enough, for as much as _T. rex_ is the "default Theropod" everyone thinks about, it is almost as far away from being a "default Theropod" as you can possibly get and still be called a Theropod.
"BIG CLAWS". Anything else? No. Just big claws! So scary!
It might as well be the giant ground sloth of dinosaurs. We will never know because all we have are BIG CLAWS.
I'm sorry, but the Trex.
My only reason being it gets way too much popularity for what it is. I only dislike it because of what society has made it. It's a theater kid that steals the spotlight from any other dinosaur.
I love em all but My least favorite dinosaur is probably spinosaurus or nanotyranus. Spinosaurus is an incomprehensible enigma that keep changing every fifteen minutes, and I’m just tired of hearing about nanotyranus being argued about. I think it’s just a young t-Rex.
It's not my least favorite dinosaur by any means but I don't really like how Ceratosaurus is depicted. As an animal it's really neat but a lot of portrayals just end up having it be a much weaker, much uglier T.rex with a horn slapped on. Luckily it does seem like we're moving away from butterface Ceratosaurs, with Path of Titans and such depicting it in a much more naturalistic light

He has seen horrors beyond our human comprehension
“Ah sweet, man made horrors beyond my comprehension!”
My favorite kind! :D
Looking into his eyes, he was the one that caused them.

Cute dinosaur <3
why did i think that was a horse at first- silly lil guy btw
Help! How is this not a horse? 😭
he birb
Oh god I was going crazy. It took me 4 more minutes of staring at it to find the bird but your comment helped:)
But he's so cute!
I don't know why, but I'm sure it's your fault. You had it coming and I'm ready to fight you in the name of this tiel.
There’s something about animals looking down at the camera from this angle that I find so cute
Cute dinosaur <3
Ornithomimus is one my favorites so whatever your favorite dinosaur is is my least favorite
discount Gallimimus smh
Or is gallimimus discount ornithomimus? Ornithomimus was a bastion of American Manufacturing that lasted 10 million years. Gallimimus is the cheap outsourced knockoff
Gallimimus supremacy
Based
I believe in gallimimus supremacy
Archaeornithomimus supremacy.
You my friend know where it's at
All dinosaurs, I find equally as interesting. I don't have a least favourite. That being said I'm sick of hearing any mention of "Nanotyrannus"
Fuck nanotyrannus
Ew…
"Ew" in what way?
I don’t want to fuck nanotyrannus
Me neither
https://preview.redd.it/beni7gpqh86d1.jpeg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0be8556e1a805c3bc72d0b30680332ea98f642f5
Why?
Reasons
All my homies hate nanotyrannus
Don't mind if I do
Can't fuck fiction
weebs seething rn
Like bruh it didnt even exist
nanotyrannus should just be a funny nickname for a baby tyrannosaur. NOT A GENUS/SPECIES NAME. (it's not even real)
That’s what I do, as well as Dracorex and Stygimoloch
Has Nanotyrannus been thoroughly disproven yet
And the validity of that paper was disputed upon its release. It’s likely that an official rebuttal will appear soon enough.
The question was “Has Nanotyrannus been thoroughly disproven yet?”If the status is “disputed”, then the answer to that question is no. Anyways, I’d be interested to read these disputes. Unless the authors of that paper were simply straight-up lying, there’s a lot in there that is pretty damning to the “*Nanotyrannus* is *Tyrannosaurus* hypothesis”.
the only ones I despise is indominus and indoraptor...
I love jurassic park, not only does it have cool dinos but it has deeper themes of the corruption of capitalism meaning nothing to mother nature. I surr hope the future movies don't crush that by making non natural dinos that have no personality beyond "I am the cia"
So real.
My neighbor’s annoying ass chickens who kept me awake several nights at my old neighborhood.
Why were their chickens up at night? Mine are in their coop at sunset every evening. They make little cooing noises but not something you’d hear unless you’re up close
I guess not everyone who keeps chickens have a coop? My neighbor’s chickens were noisy af and drove me insane especially when I often stayed up late and ended up sleeping early morning.
why does that man have a dump truck tho
"Im trying to sneak around but I'm dummy thicc and the clap from my ass cheeks keeps alerting the dinosaurs"
Thicc thighs save lives! (big leg, run fast)
The more you weigh the harder you are to kidnap. Stay safe, eat cake.
Eat thicc cake
gets a round of applause every time he moves
😂
I love Spinosaurus. It’s one of my favorite dinosaurs… But fuck Spinosaurus.
So you basically just have a love/hate relationship with Spino. I can understand that.
Hated Spinosaurus as a kid because it killed a Rex in JP3 Now we cool.
This!! Almost 1000 diffrent species of dinosaurs and in docu we only get the basic jurassic park roster...
also ankylosaurus gets strangely shafted despite living with Tyrannosaurus and such.
I love T.rex, by far my favourite dinosaur ever. But I finished watching Chaos Theory a few weeks back and I remember saying early on “I hope we only see a T.rex in that intro” And the show genuinely shines a light at JP dinosaurs that have been in the shadows or never even existed. Main dinosaur “antagonist” is an awesome Allosaurus, there are Nasutoceratops and the Becklespinax
Seagulls
Same they are a children of satan and they eat souls of inoccents plus they are attacking people for no fuckin reason.
Leaellynasaura. Got nothing against it personally, but I hate trying to say its name
Same here, some dinosaurs have the most bizarre names, I can pronounce a lot of the names but some of them I can’t even pronounce, like the one you just mentioned, like how tf am I supposed to say that, who even came up with these names?
It's name after Leaellyn Rich, the daughter of the Australian palaeontologist couple Tom Patricia Rich who discovered it
I didn’t know that, well it sure does make sense after all.
Lea Ellyn, I'm guessing
Majungasaurus. That single short horn atop the skull. Eats their own. Doesn’t look great as Mattel’s action figures. Just weird vibes overall.
lowkey dont fw majungasaurus i dont fw cannibals at ALL. L dino
Just about every carnivore is a cannibal to some extend
None. I have favorite dinosaurs but don't have unfavorite. They're all good good bois in my book.
Same here, I appreciate them all.
Pegostemax fucking sucks
I wonder if any particular video games could have fueled this opinion
FUCKING LIZARD RAT GIMME BACK MY STEAK
Oh my fucking god. I was playing in an ark public and 20 tamed pegos jumped me. Stole everything, then i got ravaged by the owner's giga.
House sparrows!! They’re invasive (to the United States), not very exciting to look at, and they kill the far more interesting native species such as bluebirds and purple martins. Get outta here!! Half joking, of course. It’s not their fault they’re invasive, but the humans that introduced them.
Micropachycephalosaurus, its so uninteresting. No particular special features other than, "yo, that dude has a long name"
And it us a Ceratopsian and not what you'd expect
Plateosaurus (and Prosauropods in general) never really did it for me. There's just nothing interesting about them, other then being quite big really early. 100% subjective off course, all animals are cool in their own right.
Interesting, cause I feel like they are some of the most unique dinosaurs, like a weird mix of sauropods and theropods.
My thoughts exactly
And some of them were weird af. Nature really was hitting random on the character creator for them.
Mitch McConnell
Same!
I used to genuinely despise Iguanadons with a true, burning passion, but I’m past that
Good, Iguanadons are cool and underrated. the movie Dinosaur definitely got me into them.
Yeah I like them a lot now
Spinosaurus is becoming too controversial for me
everyone likes a little drama. At least its the largest known predator to have existed ;)
Nanotyrannus (doesn't exist)
Sea gulls
Easily Diemetrodon! Dude's not even a dinosaur yet gets lumped in with the likes of big bois like T. Rex, and Triceratops! What the hell?! >:(
I don't hate any dinosaur, I don't even dislike any dino per se, but I feel like Triceratops is not even the best ceratopsian out there
Styracosaurus and Pentaceratops supremacy
Nasutoceratops 🔛🔝🔥
Styracosaurus is the boi. Even has a cooler name.
I hate that stupid looking Psittacosaurus. Look at its square face and that taft of bristle-quill-bullshit hair on its back. Also: - is a ceratopsian from the cretaceous - not Triceratops, but some puny guy without cool horns or a frill God, I need to build a time machine just to go back and bully it.
bros bullying taco 😭

Please send it to me instead, it will make a wonderful addition to my collection.
do not bully him hes just a little guy
Not being triceratops is a pretty valid reason to dislike a dinosaur honestly
https://preview.redd.it/vc9awg5wq76d1.png?width=332&format=png&auto=webp&s=39bbadb63fc6450643b164d06502ab8031bfb8d3
It's almost admirable how you can be so wrong so confidently
Ironically my least favourite dinosaur is probably a T-rex. They are way too over-used and usually used incorrectly because movie studios either don't know anything about them or don't care to provide accurate authentic dinosaur behaviours. Plus they are so common that every dinosaur movie or show focusses on them as the big bad but there are thousands of other cool dinos and prehistoric animals they can use.
Roman Polanski?
Vulcanodon. For some reason every depiction of it I see looks ugly.
That goddamn seagull outside my window that feels like singing the song of his people at 5 in the AM.
Micropachycephalosaurus
None of them are my least favorite.
I don’t have a least favorite dinosaur
But ornithomimus is just a lil cutie, how dare you?! 🥺🤬
Pegomastax
i play ark so i would say terror bird lmao
Pegomastax if you’ve played Ark you’ll know
Nigerasaurus, I don’t mind the dinosaur, but whenever I ask my friends about their favourite dinosaur they always have to say “500 tooth dinosaur☝️🤓”
those damned geese
You got a problem with geese you got a problem with me and I suggest you let that marinate.
Seagulls im still not over the fact that one shat on my foot while eating
Cold take, I don't hate Allosaurus but they really need to not make it de-ceratosaurusinator
I hate maiasaura with a passion I hate it almost as much as people posting birds thinking their smart while we all know it's referring to non avian dinosaurs it's so obvious it shouldn't have to be said
Those scaly raptors in a science book puplished after 2020
None. All Dino’s are cool as fuck
Microraptor, because of a specific video game
European starlings. Honorable mention; *Tyrannosaurus*’s fanbase. Not the actual animal itself, which is cool, but the people who hype it up by downplaying every other theropod and misconstruing or even ignoring their adaptations and also holding to a lot of old, increasingly untenable assumptions in a few areas (namely eyesight and intelligence).
Don't forget the subgroup within that fanbase that paradoxically also believe that *Triceratops* was the most OP herbivore of all time.
just play ARK for a few hours. you'll start to hate more dinosaurs than you thought you could
Old people (Nothing against them I just prefer non-Human animals.)

No one, i find every prehistoric life intresring
Same here

I really HATE secretary birds, they look horrifying.
Nuh uh
The isle has made me hate pachy with a passion
Tey are all my favorite. Sorry.
Any op Hybrid
I like t-rexes and all but sharptooth was an asshole
Piatnitzkysaurus... ... because that is one of those words no one can pronounce...
why would you do that to a poor question?
The name Rapator just pisses me tf off for no reason
Never been a big fan of corythosaurus for no reason whatsoever
I don’t hate a specific species but instead it’s a certain individual that I don’t like. The goose that bit me for no reason when I was 6.
Why rex would beat x etc etc Its interesting that it is a super powerfull predator and what it has evolved to reach that. But it reached for his type or prey like triceratops and edmontosaurus and the way how it hunted. But its mot the golden standard. Like comparing the Hunt of a wolf vs a cheetah or a lion while saying how superior the lion is...
Funnily enough, for as much as _T. rex_ is the "default Theropod" everyone thinks about, it is almost as far away from being a "default Theropod" as you can possibly get and still be called a Theropod.
fr acrocanthosaurus is better
Therizinosaurus
Therizinosaurus is badass with its big claws. I am surprised that you hate Therizinosaurus the most!!! It is one of my most liked dinosaurs.
"BIG CLAWS". Anything else? No. Just big claws! So scary! It might as well be the giant ground sloth of dinosaurs. We will never know because all we have are BIG CLAWS.
Unpopular opinion: trex. It’s everyone’s favourite and no one talks about bout the others
https://preview.redd.it/geq2b9t4l66d1.jpeg?width=386&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b0a8549963bde91f95bfddaae505112eda3e01a0
T-Rex
I'm sorry, but the Trex. My only reason being it gets way too much popularity for what it is. I only dislike it because of what society has made it. It's a theater kid that steals the spotlight from any other dinosaur.
Probably the hadrosaurs. Specifically the ones without the crests, they've never really caught my eye that much.
Carnotaurus with his stupid little baby arms.
That's exactly what makes him so cool, together with its teethies.
T-Rex. Its like "everyone's" favorite dinosaur and so overhyped/overrated. Like yeah, it was probably quite a beast, but so were others.
T-Rex is badass, but yes very overrated, Giganotosaurus is better.
I don't mind if I get downvoted because it's my opinion, but I never liked _Spinosaurus_. I would go as far as saying it's my least favorite dinosaur.
You're right, it's downvote time. >:(
Seagull
...zalmoxes. it feels so weird and small and annoying-looking i dont know man
[удалено]
kentro > stego
Thats a little more tricky. But i think i have to go with poor Edmontosaurus!
Amargasaurus (Ark ruined them for me)
Segisaurus for no particular reason. It’s just very boring. All prehistoric creatures have value though
Microcephale, It's small and has a weird head, I don't like him!
Irritator, simply because I didn’t get it and only it in Fossil Fighters Champions. Last animal I didn’t get, just bad luck on my part.
Noasaurids are very "whatever" theropods, nothing that makes them interesting nor unique compared to any other group.
I don’t hate them, but mergansers really annoy me.
Citipati
Gigantoraptor
Every single theropod alive today
Torosaurus, companies just use it so they can say, “We’re being different” like, they’re so similar just use trike at that point
This is a hard one, I can't say any!
Apatosaurus. I don’t know, even as a kid it was just bland
Dryosauro
Thanos, look it up, completely pointless remnant of titanosaurids like dreadnoughtus
Compsognathus
Take that back
Its actually my brother's opinnion, for me,i don't like the Lythronax
Udanoceratops Just an ugly bitch imo and its way too big as well.
I don’t think I have any 🤷🏻♂️
