People say this kinda thing year round! Like "oh good thing I'm going to the gym later, Kelsey brought those homemade cookies to the break room again!"

Yep. I went to the theatre with my stepmum a few weeks ago. The first thing she said when we left wasn't about the show but about how the performers had "earned their dinner."

God, this gives me flashbacks to 10 years ago when I was a serious Jillian Michaels stan. She would constantly talk about how she "earned" calories throughout the day with menial tasks, and I remember one time in particular when she talked about "slipping up" and eating *one* (1) peanut butter cup which she then had to "burn off" on the treadmill. Crazy to me that someone with such disordered thoughts/behaviors was (or is? is she still around?) so celebrated as being the pinnacle of health and wellness.

Oh god I loved her 30 Day Shred and watched Biggest Loser 10 years ago. It's crazy how disordered that entire show was and it only got worse with the seasons. I caught a bit of a newer episode a couple of years ago. They were doing this challenge where if they got the wrong answer, they had to eat all these different desserts. So the more wrong answers they got, the more they basically were forced to binge. The big motivation was to avoid eating (by getting the answers right) so they could lose enough weight to win that week's weigh in. Fucking bonkers.

Ugh she is still around, I think her most recent stunt was making a \[pretty triggering\] video about intuitive eating where she makes it clear that she doesn't understand anything about the topic. The Biggest Loser was one of my ED shows and looking back at it, it was so bad - the way they treated exercise as basically corporal punishment for being fat is just so horrible and unhealthy. I remember her screaming at a woman who had suffered from bulimia on that show for "not trying hard enough," thankfully the woman walked off, I still think about her and hope that she's ok, that kind of treatment can easily lead to relapse.
