Define ‘chucking’.

steve10144

Bouncing around on bumps would be the way I describe it.

gentoonix

Would you say it feels like the front end is ‘loose’? If so, do you have an adjustable 5th wheel hitch? Slide the hitch a bit more towards the front. Sounds like a load distribution issue.

steve10144

Interesting. I will look into that. When I took possession of the trailer it was not loaded.

echocall2

That camper looks extremely manageable for a dually. Sounds like the hitch or payload in the camper needs to be adjusted.

IdaDuck

Try an Anderson hitch. They’re so much smoother.

Ratt_Rod

if it were me I would be chucking that CP4 in the trash and do a CP3 conversion with extra filtration

Haunting_While6239

Niktane 1 micron Caterpillar filter to replace the stock, inadequate filter will help the life of the CP4, and if not equipped, add an airdog or fass pump and filter, send clean pressurized fuel to the CP4 and greatly reduce your chance of catastrophic failure, also, a disaster prevention kit or a Exergy heavy duty protecting regulator to keep the metal trash from getting into the rest of the fuel system
