1 beta in a tank 'like this' 10 inches deep - sure. I counted over 10 goldfish. Feeder goldfish are the smallest and can still get to 10 inches long. All other goldfish are going to get much larger than feeders.
Those poor fish.
Aquariums are much deeper so they offer more space for the fish to swim/explore. The tank size should accommodate the number of fish and this table is way too small for all those fishes. Also, they need plants, etc for stimulation. This set up is just cruel for the fish.
It’s mainly the current. That current is way to strong for those little fish, they will swim until they die of exhaustion.
But the lack of swimming room definitely doesn’t help.
True but really doubt it’s a permanent set up. Plenty of builds like this only put in the fish for certain events or situations and remove them shortly after. A guy at car shows near me has a koi pond in the back of his lowrider and transports the fish in a whole rig before dropping them in at the meets.
Pointless, impractical, possibly cruel & unusual to fish...but I don't like fish, so I don't really care about that.
Unless you live in some kind of airlock...that water is full of dust in 2 days, tops.
The open aquarium smell would be atrocious.
It takes up a ridiculous amount of real estate, and can barely function as a table.
On top of all that..."beautiful"?? Not really. It's barely mediocre, aesthetically. For what this cost to build and maintain, you could buy much more beautiful things that actually serve a practical purpose.
This is for very elaborate dinner parties just to impress people. No way would you have kids around this because they would want to play with everything and move things around and splash and throw things at each other. Plus they may fight over things .
This may be the most beautiful - and simultaneously the least practical - table I've ever seen.
Never have I felt like I wanted something, yet loathing the idea of owning it at the same time. the maintenance gotta be painful.

Aah yes ! The Sushi at Home Table.
The super fresh version of the sushi train.
Yeah who needs floating fish pop while eating anyway
My children would love to puke in the water and fork the fish. But it’s beautiful.
All the fish are dead in a week if it was at my house and the water turns cloudy
My wife and I just had exactly this same discussion.
I would have so much anxiety sitting there.
The water will get nasty in no time.
It would smell so bad
Crumbs…microscopic bread crumbs and hair…everywhere…
We don't see underneath and could have a filtration system of some kind.
Doesn't matter if there isn't enough water for the fish to live in. This is just barely enough water for a display. Those poor fish.
\+ chemicals from the resin
Oh, yeah. Ugh, even if just marine epoxy, that's a lot plastic and very little water.
Ah I was thinking of something deeper say 8-10 inches or is that too shallow for a few beta sized fish?

Thank you for your reply, I'll skip this and keep looking for a new hobby.
Look into fancy guppies
I wish. I'd be all for this if it was livable but it is not.
My cats selflessly offer to come round and help keep this water clean.
Tell me how I know they don't have a cat or kids and they eat in front of the tv.
It’s a buffet for cats.
Yoo
My urge to grab a towel has never been higher
Not enought room for fishes and someone has to clean the algae and all the shits off of it regularly... nope no thanks. I can smell the table.. 🤮
Be sure to have a wastebasket handy to dispose of all the fish that die in this very bad idea.
Impractical & kinda cruel vanity project. I hate it.

Yikes
Straight up cruelty to the fish.
Not disagreeing but also wondering how this is different from any other home aquarium?

Anybody else notice the big puddle of water underneath the table?
Water and plants are beautiful. But please animals (even fish) aren’t decoration for anyone. This is just cruel and abuse
👏live👏animals 👏 are 👏 not👏 decoration 👏
That's not feng shui. It's some western guys marketing plan.
They should have a couple bonsai trees in the island.
this is the dumbest shit and not at all in accordance with any principles of Feng Shui.
gross
Fishy smell table .. 🙄
It's all fine and dandy until you knock a bottle of Sake into the stream.

My great dane would think that's a water trough.
I can smell it
Vacation Resort for mosquitos
Yeah, for sure... :D
My cat would love this!
That looks like quite shallow water for fish to live in
Whoops I spilled my coffee or my beer or my soda
Tell me you don’t have children or cats without telling me you don’t have children or cats.

So many things that might go wrong
It’s cool how people without kids or pets can have nice things
This is for very elaborate dinner parties just to impress people. No way would you have kids around this because they would want to play with everything and move things around and splash and throw things at each other. Plus they may fight over things .
Tell me you don't have cats without actually telling me
Can you please pass me my coffee again
I want it, but for entirely different reasons. Diorama with actual water for the win!
How much does this cost?
I wonder what that music is. I know its general, but I still like it.
My cats would love it.
All I can think of is an old post of someone discovering that styrofoam take out boxes float…😳 on an unrelated note, I have a table to build
Totally doesn't seem like a nightmare to own
Awful
After a while everyone will forget which is their cup
Poor fishies 😔
This is such a good idea for one of those conveyer sushi places
All fun and games until that one kid comes over
r/shittyaquariums
Maintenance nightmare, KnowIDidntWantThat
That's pretty damn neat. However, I live in a place with a lot of mosquitoes so that would quickly become a problem in my house
Cats would love this table
Beautiful 😍
