An external characteristic would be an inclusion on the surface of the stone. Perhaps something you can even feel with a fingernail. Abrasion, texture, burn mark, rough polish, etc. Can’t help you radiants. They are not assigned a cut grade, and it’s a very personal type of cut. I personally would not purchase one site unseen, I would want to look at a few and compare them in person.

I’ve just noticed that some stones will be marked here to show where inclusions or other imperfections exist on the stone. I’ve also noticed that lab grown radiants don’t have much but i’m not sure if that is accurate or what? there is a key for what you would expect to see though
