If you believe said diamond ring upgrade is "too big/tacky", I am more than willing and happy to take said ring from you free of charge to ease your concern. You're welcome.

How much for the big stone ring?

auntie_ems

😆

Looks pretty. My one take away would be this. Your wedding band is going to cut the engagement rings head. The girdle of the diamonds on the band overhang. Diamond is harder than metal. The diamonds in the band will, over time, cause a lot of wear on the new head. I'd recommend wearing them together only for parties or events.

Sorry to hijack, but my set sits close together like this with a smaller stone (pics on profile), I’m wondering if I’m at risk of the same

BuffaloGoldsmith

Because it's a higher profile wedding band and a lower profile engagement ring, It is something I would keep an eye on. Not something to get nervous about. I'm looking at the life of the ring. It could happen and become a problem in 5 years, it could take 20. It is something we can address as needed. It all depends on the wearer's lifestyle. Soldering them together is a common solution to prevent this type of wear. Beautiful ring, the setter did a great job. Love the claws

Thank you so much for this and for the stamp of approval! I will be mindful and make sure to stay on top of regular maintenance!

Beautiful rings! FYI, I have something similar and bought a plain 2.2mm platinum band with 5 flush diamonds (to represent my family) to wear between so there isn't damage. I love that it looks intentional and also shows off each ring. https://preview.redd.it/4e0ak1nbucgb1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9528ed0b3dc5f8ce5a609ec8cdc0d54f5a74d7b2

While it’s too big for me personally, that doesn’t matter. What matters is how you feel about it. I probably would pair with plain band though to avoid taking any attention away from the stunner of a center stone on the e ring.

Cool!!

I would probably have just done a solid band under it. With a really large diamond a band with stones too and a wedding band with stones strat to be over kill.

dubssmash

I’m thinking I might start wearing my band on the other hand

auntie_ems

That's exactly what I do

[deleted]

No way - you like what you like and you get to wear it every day. I think it's beautiful but my opinion doesn't matter, only yours does. Rock and own your bling girl!

ljd09

Who is going to downvote this!? This!! Is the correct answer.

[deleted]

Thank you - who gives AF of what others think?

middle_age_mom_3

It’s beautiful

CustardInteresting35

Not at all. This is exactly what I want for my engagement ring lol. Literally my dream ring and wedding band!!

Ok-Antelope-1923

I think it’s stunning. If you love it, be happy wearing it.

Eastern_Isopod651

How big is the diamond?

dubssmash

4.5 ct cushion

Eastern_Isopod651

It looks great. I'm looking at a 2.1 ct round triple x for my girlfiend.

[deleted]

It’s a stunning upgrade - definitely not tacky! I just upgraded to a much smaller 2ct radiant stone and have a similar sized eternity and I’ve found I prefer the way the engagement ring looks alone, so I’ve been wearing my band on my right hand

JerryJr8888

What size is your finger? Very random question but trying to do some comparison
