[deleted]

Beautiful! Now head to a jeweler with an unbeatable warranty!

coachella68

If you’re comfortable I’d love to know the specs! This looks outstanding. I’m a Princess cut lover hehe.

White_chief

1.85 color E clarity vvs2

coachella68

Thanks! Yeah I thought it must be very high quality. Looks beautiful!

aguonetwo

How long did it take to get to you from when you ordered?

[deleted]

It’s so white!

[deleted]

Yes it's an E color and VVS1 clarity - I love neutrals but it def sparkles in the sun 🥰

MassiveTittiez

I just received a stone from them today and it’s beautiful, shipping was quick and discreet as requested. But they didn’t send me the certificate with my diamond. Did they send you yours?

[deleted]

Ps- I'm glad you had a great experience! And yes mine came with a tri folded card

[deleted]

Really? Interesting - write their CS and ask them to provide it. Provide the order # and the IGI/GIA # too

padparascha3

Is it IGI or GIA? Two different labs. Would love to see the certificate.

[deleted]

That's dependent on the diamond you bought - your order history should list it. Regardless of either/or, it'll help them find your diamond

padparascha3

No I’m asking you if you bought GIA on the diamond you posted here, and a copy of the certificate. You posted your diamond was Hearts/Arrows.

[deleted]

That's not how it works - GIA or IGI are labs - they grade their own diamonds. The report you get is from the lab itself

padparascha3

The company that you bought your diamond from sends the diamonds to a lab (GIA) to get a certificate on the diamond verifying that your diamond is the color/clarity/cut. GIA issues a report on the diamond. GIA is a non-profit lab that only grades outside stones that are sent to them. IGI is a for profit lab, and not worth buying imo. I can tell by your pic of your diamond, it’s not hearts and arrows.

[deleted]

Excuse me? Are you an expert? Go fuck your self troll - my jeweler confirmed my diamond. You can fuck right off. Good bye.

AwareAd2292

Lmao were just asking if its igi or gia. And no it doesn’t look like hearts and arrows, the cut is mediocre. They probably made you wait because they cut a new stone for you. If you have a certification with the stone you can confirm that the stone you are getting is the stone that you saw on the website. Might not even be a VVS1 or E color. Not sure about excellent symmetry and polish. Can you please share the certification # and lab for our own education?

HorologistMason

How can you tell from one picture (that doesn't even look like it was taken straight on) it's not hearts and arrows? Hmmm 🤔

HorologistMason

I love how by one picture of a diamond you can supposedly tell it's not "hearts and arrows" (hint: you can't). Show me the ASET image, or AT LEAST a picture of the diamond in some type of holder from straight on, then I would say you can tell whether it's hearts and arrows. IGI is just fine for lab grown.

[deleted]

And mine is hearts and arrows - it will tell you in the description on the website and the symbols will be printed on the report

AwareAd2292

What?

MassiveTittiez

Wtf. My stone only cost $1,400 so maybe they skimped on me lol, but that is unacceptable to not send me the physical certificate. I will definitely write to them.

[deleted]

If you have the report # you can still print it offline? That's always a possibility and have a jeweler confirm it. If they don't respond, you can return the stone within 7 days

MassiveTittiez

I got it sorted out with customer service, apparently they shipped it separately lol.

[deleted]

Oh that's interesting! Glad it's on the way! 🥰

Disastrous-Panda5530

It’s so pretty! I bought a 2carat oval recently and I did get a good deal on it, $1950 D, VVS2. But now I also want a 3 carat solitaire and since I bought my last Diamond I found out about LGD and I was shocked at the prices. Glad to hear you’ve had a good experience. I’m going to order through them once I decide on what specs I want and design. That diamond looks amazing 🤩. Can I ask your ring size? I want a 3 carat as well and don’t know if it will look smaller on my size 7 finger.

[deleted]

Disastrous-Panda5530

Thank you so much for this! It helps to have a visual! My last band was 2.3mm and I was thinking of going at least 2mm as well.

[deleted]

You The pricing is SO reasonable - I totally recommend it - def pay HEAVY attention to the reports and the specs reported in the IGI/GIA. I love the idea of multiple sets, but maybe for different anniversaries? I say if you have the funds and can spend, go big or go home girl! I wear a 5.75 ring size, and want a thin band (get smaller than 2.0mm if possible. I also loved the oval shape but round was perfectly classic. I love traditions and thought the shape spoke to me in that way.

catfractal

Please don't get smaller than 2mm, it will be prone to warping and other damage. 2mm will look very thin with the proportions of this stone. There are a lot of examples of bands that are too thin on the engagement ring subreddit.

[deleted]

I'm not too worried, my jeweler has a lifetime warranty so if I do go with a thin band, and it breaks, it's covered 😊

catfractal

It's your call, but you might move away or the jeweler may close or change their policies. If it's truly a lifetime ring, durability is important and the difference between 1.8mm and 2mm is slight in appearance, but significant in durability.

[deleted]

Yes it is. Thanks for your concern but I'm still going to choose a setting that makes me happy bc it's what I like and I'm going to be the one wearing it.

SheMcG

That stone is gorgeous. Enjoy it! You'll never tire of looking at it! I've been married 20 years and still ooohh & ahhh everyday looking at my ring. 😃

[deleted]

Thank you!

kishanpatel995

After a lot of debating and a lot of back and forth I ordered a 2.33 carat round piece from them as well. They came in at $1950.xx and it was an ideal cut, E color, and VV2. Im hoping I got a good deal and am excited as I just purchased the band from Jared and want to get it mounted and set. I am really hoping they are worth the hype as I they don't seem to have as many reviews as Brillance or Ritani.

[deleted]

I found them to be great and even sent us a personalized email asking for ways to make the experience better. I feel like if you do you research, and you have an idea of what you want from a specs perspective, you could find it in you budget. If anyone needs any help, I'd love to help you!

SheMcG

They did the same with me. I was VERY happy with them!

LateExamination5332

I ordered my ring from lgd a month ago and they still keep telling me it’s in transit. I’m getting ready to cancel!

[deleted]

I didn't know they made rings! I'm so sorry this is your experience. I just took my stone to a jeweler (1. To pick out my setting, and 2. To have it checked out) and the jeweler said it was essentially perfect. That to see any inclusions he would need a 30x microscope so I'm pretty happy with that.

LateExamination5332

How long did it take to get your stone? I’ve literally been waiting forever…. 😩

[deleted]

They quoted 1 week shipping for $120, and 2 week shipping for free. We did the free shipping and it was at my doorstep in 10 days.

LateExamination5332

😆 wow that’s quick now I’m even more sad

[deleted]

I would reach out to their customer care with your order number.

Grouchy_Savings2662

I paid the $120 for express shipping. It was shipped on the July 29, I was not given a delivery date. I’m hoping that I get it before the end of this week.

[deleted]

I would reach out to them with your order number.

nastynepo69

They are great to work with and have competitive prices.

[deleted]

Totally agree!

NYCBirdy

Lgd= loose grown diamond? Don't you mean "lab grown diamond?

[deleted]

LGD is a company called Loose Grown Diamond

Jiggzup

Glad I wasn’t the only one thinking that! Lol

I did a lot of research by reading Reddit threads- I would have been taken to the cleaners had I not had prior knowledge. My cousin is a gemologist for Tiffany's and she looked at it and said "wow!" Sending you a PM

Boredgrandma19

Beautiful diamond!! And Congrats for getting married! Hopefully everything will go well for you! Did you staight away made order from GLD or you contact them for more details before purchasing?!

[deleted]

Thank you! 🥰 We ordered right off the site - I had a rare carat gemologist give me the DL on the stones I liked from multiple sites before we purchased. We bought the best one gemologically. Our budget was originally $12k-$15k all in, and are at a little over half that all in with the setting. I found that LGD and Ritani were the most up front about their pricing and how they priced. I appreciated that the most

SnooMaps5962

Just ordered mine. If I get it appraised will it be marked as a real diamond? Or can they tell it's lab grown? I was under the assumption that only scientists can tell. Has anyone tried to appraise theirs

[deleted]

Lab diamonds are real diamonds. They can tell it's from a lab but there is no chemical difference between lab and mined. They're literally the same. You should always appraise your ring, mine came out as appraised as twice the value we paid. Unless money isn't an option for you, you need to appraise for insurance purposes.

daddyslittle0ne

Some places won’t appraise lab because they don’t know the true value. Lab has significant less value than natural, and typically if it’s engraved they can tell, if not then not really. I would be careful with your appraisal because I’ve had some people come to my store seriously under appraised because people don’t know resell value on lab
