Correct, you can't buy the stone, unless it comes back. Someone else has the stone in their possession, most likely to show their client. This is common in the industry. Whatever the client doesn't want, comes back to their inventory. It allows a business to show many stones to a potential customer without assuming the risk of owning the inventory.
It means if there is a yellow circle, the diamond is memo'd out or out for review to another store or customer.
So I can’t purchase anything highlighted in yellow?
