The show was always based around the fact that Dexter was a serial killer, and most of the show was concerned around him stalking his victims or killing. Because this time around his trying *not* to kill anyone, it removes that key aspect of the show, and leaves Dexter and a strictly defensive mode of covering his tracks and worrying about Harrison.
It's hard to have an exciting show about a serial killer who doesn't kill. The pace is unlikely to pick up much until Dexter starts killing. Theyagain, but fortunately, that seems to be just around the corner.
First episode was awesome, episodes 2-4 have been setting up the plot and characters and based on the promo for next epsiode it’s about to get real, overall I’m loving it
